I am now currently on board with Jeri Pabe at TBN DYRD AM Monday-Sat nights and dili tinog ako kaylan uban si jeri I am very silent. Many have been coming into the station late at night when the program is being aired.

Daghan Looy even I have found myself donating as not enough private individuals are helping out as need be.

I am interested in asking you Boholanos out there in other parts of the world to invent your own Tagbilaran by Night club exactly how the Nurses working in Ireland have done.

They are about 15 nurses who come from Bohol they have formed a TBN Nurses Ireland Club. You all know that a little bit of your change out there can go a long way here and mean so much to these indiganant persons who would not be able to seek help elsewhere.

Once you have a club or organizations planned go ahead and contact me on here or in my email PRISRICHRDS@AOL.com so we can work out a system for the money to get directly to the program in where your name and club will be mentioned and listed as a contributor of TBN, as well as the full amount in what you have donated will be all listed and said over the radio.

Please let's all help others who are less forunante than us in a grave time of need. Be a good Sister and Brother in Christ. We know it is better to Give than to receive.

I am also currently a Board Member and was elected/appointed as PRO of the organization here in Tagbilaran.

about three weeks ago about 18 persons came to the show asking for help.

Thank You for you time and effort in reading this plea to help others here in all parts of Bohol.

Bohol Latest News / Re: Mr. Bohol Quality Passes Away
February 09, 2010, 02:04:42 AM
I had been to the residence of Ong last week to attend the 8pm mass and many persons including many employees of BQ were there.

They were serving pica pica foods but I did not hang around to eat. I had other things to do after the mass.

I know many Lions were not able to attend the district convention of Lions held in cebu over the weekend because they wanted to attend instead the final mass and internment of Ong las Saturday at St. Joseph cathedral and his remains now lay in victoria gardens in a private family musulium in Victoria Memorial Garden park.

May he rest in peace and may his founding business keep going on and getting bigger and better!

Bitaw glaceir but money helps in helping to solve this case as any other case does here.

Some PNP here only play the role of mediators here or they play malice in the palace by being as one of the prepretrators either being involved as contaminating evidence to the point of leaving no good evidence to be found and or actually involved in being a part of the actuall crimes here for cash purposes to bennefit themselves.

Maxwell family needs to come to Philippines hire an attorney and also a PI.

Thanks for the support Glaceir

Retire and Live in the Philippines / Re: Expats in Bohol
February 09, 2010, 01:31:59 AM
I think it is both cultures sharing each others bad habits with one another...Bitaw!

You want to invite an expat to an event that your handling at a set time but yet the event gets started two hours later than what you told him originally. That to foreigners is just simply rude from what I have heard.

Expats complain about plenty while staying in Philippines it is due to bad manners mostley. and this discussion has evolved time and time again in TB.

It goes no-where and it gets taken personaly. Bad habits are just something you have to get use to. If you see a Filipino not flushing his toilet then by god do the same since it is okay as it is culture and done often, urinate in the street in front of women and children in the broadlight of the day.

Burp out loud and never say excuse me do the same thing expats it is the culture if you can not improve the culture then join the culture.

Many things are done bad in the in all cultures but in Philippines the naughty is hidden what they may do that is really bad. such as rape, drug busts etc. But if a foreigner does it in their country you can be guarunteed front page news in their newspapers. That is the culture it is way of white washing the people into thinking that nothing bad ever happens by the people here.

Many Kababayans complain that their own country of Philippines is so dugay to make better changes.

Steve,

I am aware a few of Martin's friends from the past who had tried their hardest to get to the bottom of these two british murders that happened just about back to back last year in march. But there things are handled very different indeed.
Recently one of Martin's close friends came to Bohol in fact just last month and he had emailed to his friends there his same sentiments and discusts that you are sending in regards to your case about your stepdad's case not yet solved.

They will not re-open another case in Philippines unless you can prove a motive or have sustainable evidence on any suspect, mastermind or perpretrator and most of all they want to get the ones who are involved with the actuall crime itself as masterminds and pre meditated planners of murder or hard to be proven guilty.

They will re-open any case if the family makes a letter to the chief of Camp Crame in Manila Philippines only if you have convinced the CIDG or the regional Chief of NBI in Cebu of the local province/region that you or your own investigating team have come up with evidence and strong motive as to why and how it was done and who is actually involved with the murder from the plan to the actuall killing.

Martin's family in England easily let go of the case and lost all hope and basically treated those who did try to find justice for their loved one absolutley horribly, and his Filipina wife did not give help or aide or leads to anyone in helping find those involved she just went after the little school boy who admitted to stabbing her husband 9 out of (14) 23 times. A lot of work was done on a private side by some of his friends of at their own expenses not with the help from the family in England or again from his wife, of course with-out any thank you's.

Steve an NBI Atty. once said that if a death or murder happens there in the Philippines to an outsider it is not really a high priority to go after the killers and no one there cares truthfully no matter how nice you think they are. In your country maybe if a foreigner visiting there is murdered your law officails may do their best to find the ones involved and do not need permission to keep or re-open the case am I right?

The provincail PNP director who was on duty during the two British murders last year has been reasigned during his few years at the post there in Bohol around 7 foreign murders happened and they were never solved.

Let's hope with his new replacement PNP Director, Obenza that he can do a much better job in protecting the people and solving crimes more better.

I am also hoping for the honest resolve to come about in both the 2009 Britsish murders that took place back in 2009.

Many people have shown interest in the two murders in that they want it resolved. Your message is being read by many Steve. May I also wish you and your family the best in the day justice will truthfully pre-vail on both these cases.

I think the best thing for these two cases is for the persons involved to step forward volluntarily and turn themselves in, there it seems like the only way in how things are solved.

I honestly think the people especailly the private friends of Martin have given up due to the poor attitude of the law there, lack of support from his wife and family in England. Now that elections are newly upon the Philippines these cases will not even be thought of as they are not even being thought of now.

Welcome to the cold harsh truth of reality.

You yourself need to go there and seek for yourself with your own funds if you really want this case to be solved. Nothing is done there with-out a hired Atty and private investigator (P.I.).

If it was a local person being murdered then they would try their best to solve it, but since it is outsider it has not much personal impact on the law or the community.

Several armed men baring short arms mostley of 45 calibers came into Bohol and some were captured while some are at large here in Bohol gikan sa Candijay.

Right now the Comelec has a national gun ban in preparedness for the up coming campaign and election.

The men are hired from places such as Manila, Cebu, Ilo Ilo, and other surrounding provinces.

The men were reportedly in a white van details are sketchy at the moment because the incident is still under investigation.

Tagbilaran By Night Jeremias Pabe tried to give a live telephone interveiw to the new Provincail Police Director here in Bohol but the Police Director hung up the Phone.

An investigator on the case was able to give some vague run about information of the arrest of the gun men but because it is unde investigation and others are at large they are keeping things silent.

The instruction was to go after the prime target and then to spread out.

I hope by this weekend we can have a full report of what exactly had taken place here in Bohol.

Retire and Live in the Philippines / Re: Expats in Bohol

I have noticed that there are several NGO groups who would beg to differ when it comes to looking at foreign tourist as the reasons for how some woman and children are being treated horriblly here.

I personally get annoyed when I see foreigner men with younger women here even younger then 18 years of age. Pastilan!

I also have noticed with new beer and drinking establishments there are students drinking under aged in groups sometimes five men and one girl at a table with stacks of red horse bottles sitting in fron of all thm from dinner time up to midnight closing time.

It is not just puti who is hanging out and drinking at drinking establishments. So what if someone drinks beer just so long as they do it moderatly and do not hurt others or kill another person do to a drunkard's irresponsibility.

I have always asked myself this question why is it you do not see white women marrying Filipino man how the men Marry Filipina?

I ran into four mixxed couples the other day four Amrican men and four Filipina women all seemed happily getting along to me. At the time the men were at the windows exchanging currency for their few days adventure in Bohol.

This thread is almost going to be about three years old.

I know this "Apple Pie" "Coke-Cola" lady very well. She maybe not have the best media grammar but she is described by some as a breath of fresh air.

She is capable of finding her own news and doing her home-work on her own. I have seen her as a total asset to the media helping out with women and children issues and she is still trying to found a foreigner expats organization in Bohol.

I was listening to Governor report mabe about one month ago and I heard his tell this bright media lady that the he and the province stand behind her ideal 100% and had asked her to come up with a proposal.

I know in the past she has always treated her colleauges to dinner or even given them a temporary place to stay. I know she has also loaned out plenty of cash to her fellow colleauges and some have abussed her friendship being of a plated gold type friend and some have remained as good as solid gold friends should be with her as they continue to help her as she does them buil strong bridges not weak ones to cross over.

Neither is she a gossip she is someone who knows how to keep a secret. I find her to be loyal, hard working, caring, she is neither  a liar or one who is out to be malicious towards others. In the (Bohol) Filipino community she is very visible in the newspapers as seen with doing many projects that involve her Lion membership, Expats group, medical mission team, and she was most recently voted to be a BOD for a popular radio show program known as Tagbilaran By Night hosted by Jeremias (Jerry) Pabe in where she is now voted into the program and club as PRO, and currently observing live programs of TBN in hopefully someday she will be able to join the program as a co-anchor interveiwing bennificaries.

Last 2009 she was given a media award for best literary writer of the year. She is also the first foreigner to pass the KBP licensor exam and hold a current KBP broacastors license card.

This American Pie is in my eyes a very hard working and dedicated person and loyal in anything she does for the publis as well as for friends. I know she has battled through malicious acusations, been left for ignored, and has been lied to by people in whom she thougt she could trust.

She does not cry about it she is the type of person I know who fights for her right and is straight to the point.

I think the only thing she expects from people are that they give deserving credit to others who have earned it. That people need to stop this annonymosity of trying to insult, accuse, or assume otherss of doing wrong when they are not.
That people need to give praise and compliment and help others do well as same as do well themselves and it does not mean by way of knoocking others down below the beltline!

I know America Pie very well she is my best friend through thick and thin.

Same as a Chinese restaurant nga run by White people wa jud nay lami! so ug mo eat sad ko Chinese adto sad ko sa China town nga medyo hugaw (as profiled) kay authentic sad kaajo ang lami...

Ha ha ha ha ha! It sort of how I feel about Filipino resturant owners trying to immatate Western cooking from the states in the Philippines!

Even many burger chains here taste like soy meat and not real 100% lean ground beef.

Nobody is perfect right.

I caanot say that about all Chinese places in states I have found some to be very tastey and very authentic.

I find some Chinese places to eat in the Philippines also not very good so I guess it is to each and every persons taste and likings not just in states but everywhere else as well.

Sme ethnic foods brought to states are made to cater to the majority taste of what people like. In America we have all types of races that consist in making it the place that it is. American accept new ideals from outsiders.

Look at how we attend fairs we have many choices on how we want our burger cooked. Grilled on a gas top grill, bar b qued or even steamed it is up to the choice of the people if they want to eat there or not and what they want to eat as well.

You experience some places will not allow but only one type of vendor for one type of food it is not fun when there is no choice.

sabe's que esta sierto pues quando Mexicano's kin trabajo en el Estadus of America bestatnte logusta's trabajo asi como quides.

Oh' boy' here we go again anyone who runs for an office in Philippines had better not have any piles of skeletons or a bad ghost from the past because like a pair of dirty underwear it will be smeared all over their faces and its going to make them smell bad.

We need to focus on positive attributes and not dwell on the negative pasts and mistakes.

#420
I think this would be a good thread if others could also participate on it as soon as they are able to hear or learn anything between any candidate running for office.

This is a free for all topic please feel free to post what you know.

Thank you!

Do to the bad internet server I have I am unable to watch this and get an opinion of what is really going on. I know Dr. Dumaluan personally I find him always to be a a very polite person and I find it really hard on him and his life to be surrounded by many bodyguards.

When I talk to the people of Panglao who were bought outright from voting for this man some regret they made such a move they say that Dumaluan was a good mayor for them. Mayor Alcala does not have such great revues from what I have heard when talking with Panglao natives.

I am sad to see all this harassment in a place that pats itself on the back as being a conservative and Godly place. :-X

I agree Indaymen50 with what you are saying as far as seminars go but is psychology course not required for 99% of school subject courses here in the Philippines?

Even  brush-up Inday would do most people a lot of good so that misjudgement is not an unfair or mistaken practice in this world.

Than You for the back-up support on my reply to post.

Example;

As of 1900 hrs last night DYRD pollsters on their popular website last night had polled the question of who do they support for 1st dist congressman?

Kag. Kaparig 12%

Kag. Glovasa 37%

Relampogos   51%  Date of Poll is 1/14/10

and so on and other other poll updating so we can see how things can roller coaster and fluctuate in here for the May 2010 elections.

I am surprised to see that no one has been able to bring up this health topic in Tubag Bohol.

Many woman who end up getting pregnant are often to shy to ask and compare with others what she is expereincing or what should she expect as what are symptoms in knowing she is pregnant?

How should she treat herself?

Here in Philippines especially with many teenagers getting pregnant and not able to afford Dr. advice or to ashamed to ask peers, parents, friends ETC... maybe she could lean on people in here for good guidances both physically and psychologically for a young sister who may be in a pickle or be craving a pickle!

I am sure this topic will get a lot of hits in helping out pregnant women and moms to be.

Have fun everyone!

I seen Arlene the mayor's assistant with Mark Monton, Kag. Kabilit, and mayor Lim at the local donut house near Rizal Park the other day.

I thought he tossed her on her keister some time ago? I thought wrong.

In any other country she would be thrown out the door as a pending public service personnel  that has a pending court hearing with even a small misdemeanor as this is.
#427
Some malls in Bohol do not hire women if they have taken and given a positive pregnancy test.

Discrimination is everywhere in your own country of Philippines. So why should we raise a hair about long hair?

The little lady lived a hellish  and tormented life anyone who wants to do some interesting reading will sob a bath towel wet!

Many persons who were near to the concentration and death camps in Germany were exposed to thousands of sicknesses and many persons died and were thrown into large death pits and buried all together at once body on body.

I watched this documentary with my father and my eyes could not stop tearing the whole time knowing what I was watching was not a play or a movie it was reality.

I heard it is not good to run after being bitten by a snake. i heard that after bitten you can suck the poison out or take matches posporo and burn the flesh off where the poison is at.

Maybe wives tales who knows.

Oh my to be paranoid at night with the toesies sticking out the end of the bed and any noise you here would be that of Sammy the Snake cobra!

The biggest earthquake I have experienced was December 1999 in a Manila it registered in the field box (Richter Scale) at 7.1 and it was during the wee hours of the morning.

The death toll was somewhere around 3 from Luzon with several hundred aftershocks reported through-out the day.

Haiti is a very poor country lets hope they can recover with the generous help of others who care.
#431
I agree with these women strongly.

They have a good point.
#432
I think what they are getting at is mental which means dealing with the mind rationality.

I think they are referring to such mental illnesses as Bi-Polar, Schizophrenia disorders do to the instability of these persons.

I think also this is a case of Filipino not knowing what they are doing or knowing the difference between physically and menatly impaired children.

In recent scares with airline passengers creating problems are those adults who have uncontrollable or erratic emotional dis-orders. Sometimes these persons are very unpredcitable if not properly being medicated or having some sort of psychotherapy.

These Filipino attendants need to be properly trained and be taught what are the differences.

A little kid is not going to hurt anyone if his parent has him under control to the best of ability.
