Well I could have been charged PhP500.00 for a deposit fee for a hotel in cebu but you know me I always catch them on a clip because as i had paid the room fee a day in advance the desk clerk had not informed me of the price of a deposit.

Goodness sakes alive even refundable or not I want to spend and enjoy my peso in other places and when I look up the place on the internet i would like that the internet make sure of the hotels policy is printed as well and this particular hotels deposit fee was not mentioned on their web sites i normally budget my trips ahead.

I also pointed it out that when one is traveling one budgets and does not like "surprize gotcha!" hidden fees.

So I did not pay and I am so proud as i am not so pleased with the accomodation anyway.

It really smells bad our room and there are no covers just a sheet and also the aircon was not cool enough and no place to put your things.

It was not in Bohol it was in Cebu.

I will not mention the name as people when they go there they can find out how i did.

I also heard from other tourist that they are charging deposits also at other places in cebu but some hotels offer breakfast included in the room price in Cebu and other places.

I am normally a very hapy person funny, and considerate and caring with my freinds on a daily bases so I would have to say not just one happiest day but i get many hapiest days when my freinds are kind to me in return.

A reforestation launching workshop was held here in Bohol this week at Bohol Plaza located in Dauis Panglao Bohol.
The theme of the Workshop was "Adancing the Application of Assisted Natural Regeneration (ANR).

Danao Bohol located in the Interior of Bohol Island is one of four places nationally being chosen for the project in reforestation. The other three places are in Limay, Bataan; Danao, Bohol; and in Sto. Tomas, Davao Del Norte.

The three organizations coming together for the project include The food and Drug Administration (FAO) Forest Management Bureau-Department OF Environment And Natural Resources  (DENR) and the Bagong Pag-ASA Foundation, INC. the workshop the workshop was on natural reforestation and was also the launching for the Bohol Province project.

What is ANR?
It is an acronym for assisted natural regeneration, a viable means of restoring biodisersity in forest rehabillitation, and approach to help speed up the growth of young tree seedlings and other plants that lie dormant under a carpet of grasses, such as the ever-present imperata cylindrica, more commonly known as cogon.

Cogon infest milllion of hectares of Philippine forests, supressing the natural growth of wildings. Cogon grasses are also easy prey to both intentional and accidental fires, which hinder forest restoration.

ANR has several key advantages. It eliminate the high cost of seedling production, planting and replanting incurred in conventional reforestation. It helps avoid the costly mistake in speceis-to-site matching, since the tree speceis in place are the species most suitable to the area.

The four day workshop also included a feild trip to Danao Bohol where the reforestation project is.

Day three of the workshop included othe visiting reps from surrounding Asian counteries who came to share about the reforestation happening in their counteries.

According to DENR assistan secretary Jerimias Dolino in a private interveiw he said it was Secretay Atienza's largest project but was not able to attend the workshop due to cabinet meetings back in Manila.

I know for any case to be prosecuted there should be substancail  amount of evidence for any case to be prosecuted.

At least I am not the type of media person who expects to be given an envelope at every media event that I am invited too.

neither do I show up late just to ask a few questions still waiting around to pressure the event coordinator's for an envelope. While other media persons are there at the conference for the entire duration.

Neither do I collect envelopes for coleauges who are not even at the event.

Anyone can file if they know the sittuation and whats going on with any crime. If your evidence is substancail enough to stands a chance in court.

When hiring an Atty. for any case he must first see and reveiw the evidence and links including any feasable angles involving the any case before he would consider first if the case stands a good chance of winning.

Since this Topic has been posted the UK membership has been increasing daily.

According to the Tagbilaran fiscal office anyone who has knoweldge on any case as a witness can file charges against anyone who has done a crime even as exstensive as murder.

The case has to be filed by any witness before it will be considered in court in the Philippines.

I think the fiscal office of the court should know pretty much how the system works.

I have heard it said more then once by them regarding how any any court case matter.s are How could the court file charges if they do not know the sittuation?

How can the court be the one to prosecute correctly untill they have heard all parteis involved per any case they may have.

Life is a bit more harder in the Philippines when it comes to the older system of justice which is said by Atty's that say some parts of justice are still having a slow process compared to other countreis legal systems which are more advanced.

Anyone knows in any court of law or justice system if there is substancail enough evidence for example an acessary to the crime is also just as good that has been committed.

Now in Philippines if you want to have convict some one in the court system it is not the court or the police to file the charges it is up to the victims affected.

This is why Mharge is filing charges against gulle but lets say MORE ARE FOUND TO BE INVOLVED then she would also be the one to file the charges against them as well.

In America if no one files against persons involved with murder it is usually the job of the state, or federal officails,or even city or county to have charges filed.

That is what you call State vs John Doe or UK vs Jane Doe.

City vs Jane Doe, and so on because of the severity and the dangerous level at putting persons at risk if the private person is the one who files the charges versus the entire state, federal or city.

It would be hard for the murder victim or his co-horts to go after the state, federal or city to try and have them killed off for either knowing to much and being the one to testify and witness against any murderer or any one who is an acessary or even the MASTERMIND of the preperated crime.

In Philippines if anyone dare to go after anyone in a court of law that person who files charges takes a big fat risk of being killed off if not mamed by the one they are going up against.

I personally could never understand this philosophy of the Philippine law in that it puts innocent person at risk of being killed for being a witness in court.

Why should anyone but the law itself be the one to take persons to court depending on the severity of the crime? To avoid other murders from possibly happening?

It simply just askiing for trouble in how they do things in the Philippines. You think Chicago State would let a known murderer or alleged suspect just walk the streets because no one filed charges against him? Think again.

Maybe the States as well as other coutries should handle hard core criminals in how they handle them in the Philippines?

Why the hell bother having police when they can not do much and some are even a part of crime?

Why have a justice system if justice can not go after those on their own to convict someone who has done really wrong?

Why do people who are witnesses stay away from court cases?

Because they are open to danger from the defendant's party.

It has been done in many cases were there is no witness and the case ends up being dismissed in the Philippines and other countreis as well.

The minor law in the states or any other country is different compared to Philippines because in the states and depending on the severity of the case especailly that of murder the minor will be handled in the legal system as an adult.

She was the one with Gulle and others that night when martin was murdered she even frequents in adult clubs here but heaven forbid spare her of severe crime.

In the states and other countreis the wife is automatically the alleged suspect untill proven otherwise.

The police and the investigators are not very wide eyed in this particular case as there sounds like there are many holes in the English cheeze to look into according to the pip's minds in Enland?

Well lets just surmize this case as a prime example of why Philippines continues to be a third world country.

Why should I care if people get killed or hurt or can not feed they're own kids in the Philippines or any other country that is doing the same when no one cares about doing what is right to clean up the crap that happens everyday in thirs world countreis as how Philippines is.

The police here will not even allow or entertain media to follow up on Martins case.

Thank you for the ongoing  support of the Expat goup here in Bohol. I hear often they are having interesting discussions on how to enjoy and love and also are learning how to feel safe and secure in Bohol.

Foreigners can also help Bohol by promoting handi crafts and what nots coming from Bohol that are good, and as well help in promoting places in which are beautiful to go and see in Bohol.

The group also has discussions on being able to have legal representaton when being a victim of crime.

All three guest speakers so far have done a very excellent job in making foreigners open up with a better respect for the island despite the slipshod POLICE SYSTEM HERE.

How would they dig it if we said the same thing about the Philippine organizations going on in other counteries i think and know for sure it would peeve them pretty bad.

Oh I have asked the Sr. preist and he is a very rude man indeed would anyone like to hear a recording of me asking him what is going on when he allows a national food vender to vend in the church parking lot as the only vendor and why not allow the other vendors who were kicked out of the city to also have the same priveladges as this national food vendor. you want to know why the mayor of tagbilaran is best freinds with this DSr. preist and the national food vendor is Duncan Donuts and we know who mayor is close to again because he gets free donuts from this persoon to hand out to his ten Barangays that are his.
Mayor is not even a catholic, but this Sr. preist must have an interest in mayor for reasons as for me I was thrown the book at me and told to leave before he would call the police on me. How unbecoming I guess I do not hold the purse for him like Mayor mayor.
He scowled at me because I even cared about poor persons here who are barely making it by, he was incredibly very unbecoming and if no one beleives me there was a witness in the office who was working there and she called the radio station complaining in shock at how rude this particular preist was being.

Even people in the radio stations have a copy of the unbecoming Catholic Preist and many even told me to report him to VOWC.

I have my reasons to say why this church is not doing a single good thing here to help the people financaily, mentality or even physically.

The church here has almost killed me because i need hormones to regulate my system and if i do not i will bleed myself to death because my hormone i take to reguklate myself is banned here do to the catholic churches influence on birth control contraceptives which are not just for not having babies.

I pay $1.50 per hormone pill here when it could be cheaper as well for me if my brand of pills were available do not tell me how god this church is.

I have been discusted by the way the persons who run the church truly behave when the church goers are not around.

It is my right to say this particular church is not doing anything to prevent crime in its community.

What day does this church have counseling to help people who have fallen short?

I think catholic chrches and othe churches should  operate the same way all over the world.

The things that have changed in how we really live are the electronics communication and entertainment  gadgets we have that have made how we currently live in a techno savvey world.

Parents need to spend more time with kids showing them  morals and practicalities that make sense.

And the youth should spend time with the old's learning about hstory and such and how life has changed from the days of before untill the days at current.

The questions are simple and basic and the answers are simple as well.

The name calling in here has got to stop it is not lady like. If some one wants to make a point there must be some sort of tact and order with a well good set of manner's when wanting to make a point.

I do not want to read replies that tell some one shut up or that calls someone a name.

I would not like to be acussed of bein a part of any kiling but If it was me being acussed and I was not guilty I would be very kind and stay strong and not let people get me down I would have to stay tough in my heart and kind towards those who care about my husband.

Second question, At what time was the wife notifeid  of her husbands murder and who was she informed by?

Third quetion, How did this person know how to inform her as the wife?

her police affidavit just states in Item #2

"That on march 24, 2009 I was on my place in Leyte when I was informed that my husband was killed by an undentifeid assailant on the night of March 23. 2009 particularly at Bok-Bok Spring, Mansasa District, Tabilaran City."

It does not give a time when she was notifeid or a name of a person person who had informed her about her husbands death.

Could we the people of this forum please have some clearity to the questions being asked as we are just wanting facts and answers.

When my mom'husband was killed in a car accident she was notifeid across state in person by a county sherrif that her husband had been found dead. Now if the husband is killed in New York and the wife is in Seattle it is very much a distance but she was notifeid by authoriteis of the law.

Now Maasin and Bohol ar neighboring ports so who was it from the law that notifeid Mhargie of her husbands death?

It is standard procedure that someone with in the law be the one to notify the next of kin that there loved one was found dead.

This would help if we know the time that she was notifeid by and the person who knew of her husbands death and how was this person connected in knowing it was her husband, and how was his relation in knowing about the death?

I do not call affidavits and court resolutions and text messsages nonsense what I call nonsense is breaking and entering into a house which had changed locked and she does not or has not actted like a wife for some time and it is way longer then december as she claims it to be! Her intentions are clear to get to the gatherd evidence Martin had against her so there would be no linkages to her having to do anything that had happened to him in the past.

As i and many have said and feel Martin was damn right in how she was choreographing the every move.

It takes a real bitch of a wife to take women to the police station after one or two days after he was murdered.

Maybe somebody wants this case closed fast to protect the others involved who assisted Gulle.

Just think if not for the ID being found of Gulle he could still be at large same as the guy who shooted at Martin in last Jan, 2009.

Where is the proof that this woman loves her husband the whole time i knew him I had never seeen her or met her one time.

When it comes to the cell phone Inspector Palacio told me that they do not have it at the police station because Martins wife was insistant in getting it, so he said he gave it to her as she is his wife and she was no longer considered a suspet as she told the inspector that she is on good terms with her inlaws.


Maybe after she remove the sim card she could of had easily given it back over to the police. The messages to Martin were very graphic and terribly horrific as well.

So if the police do have that fone and the original sim card of Martins I could show them the messages that he held onto which many of them were alleged death threats.

But that fone and sim card as I said was not in the hands of Silvan Palacio of the inspectors on the case.

I have kept them on my phone as well as Martins thoughts that he had text to me. He always told me along with his other foreigner freinds that his murder was getting nearer and he was living in complete fear.
He talked about wanting to meet with the governor of Bohol, and said that things that were happening to him.

He mentioned in one of his text as this "Tourist police.  girls my staff. I hate this place." the number he sent it to me on is +639296985975 which is the number he would always keep me updated on. I have many messages that he had sent to me or had forwarded it and others as well I kept them as I miss him and his kindness and the way that he wanted tohelp peope in the Philippines.
It's all I have to remember my freind by is his fear he had in the final days before he was brutally killed.

Acts committed contrary to the provisions of Article 248 in relation to Article 6 and 50 of the Revised Penal Code as amended.

Junrey was given the oppurtunity to submit controverting evidence, but he did not do so.
The court decided that there was reasonable ground to beleive that the crime of ATTEMPTED MURDER has been committed and that the above named is probably guilty thereof.

If you recall the last affidavit it was said that Ludy Vanessa Gallow identifeid the shooter as Junrey and he told her that he was hired allegedly the mastermind of said shooting but had later changed her stories with the Panglao police.

She turned around instead of being a witness in the shooting to accussing Martin of alleged rape?

The charges were dismissed as they were considered fabricated storeis from the complaintives.

I am only printing what I have and what is available to the public as open recorde to the public.









So I think it is absolutley appropriate to question the circumstances as either circumstancail, non aggravated, or accidental?

I know some contractors who had met you ladies at the bar and they said you were being treated really well by Martin and they were doing contract work for him.

This person is related to a very famous family in Bohol. She described you ladeis as happy and even asked you girls if everything was okay you all told them your doing really great!

She also was in shock disbeleif and  when she had heard about the alleged rape as she thinks Martin was a very nice and trusting person.
She is also a Filipina lady who is an educated professional with a lot of class as she spoke with kindness about you girls under the care of your foreigner boss Martin.

I had mentioned it about three years a go in one of our press conferences but not out loud it was a conversation held at a lunchoen table regarding foreigners not having to marry to buy properties.

I was shocked to have learned that it was my country that decided long a go to not allow foreigners to take what belongs to the Philippines.

But times have changed and the population has been way over grown and resources are scarce.
So foreigners need to invest so that we can make jobs for the people here so that the kids can eat properlyand live properly and human as possible.

To lessesn corruption and to make a more honest and not so lazy police force by allowing them to get they're full bennefits in order to let them want to work the way they should.

Right now at current the sittuation is not good but it would improve wonderfully with foreigners coming here under good intentions and being appreciated for what they have done thatwill be good.

Martin had plans to put up a Villa for people who were on low income he wanted to help persons here.
He and his freinds discussed it many times even when he had just arrived here and had freinds in the sports bar he would talk too about it.

It would of been what they could afforded to pay for rent and not end up broke, it would of been a good example for the philippine persons to see that this is how you are to take care of people who are less unfortunante.

Sad to say Martins life was taken away and he can no longer do what he and his freinds had been planning to do from England.

Now on the other hand a wife in Margie's sittuation if she truly miss's her husband would continue his legacy in his name.


The best advice to give Gie in this sittuation is get the bar fixxed up really nice, go to work in it and run it the best she can to help her daughter and her, and keep the house as it will always go up in value.

it's a beautiful home and she should consider herself lucky it is nice and paid for I know plenty women in the states who have children and a rockyroad marraige and they are not sittiing in a 15million piso home.

I know up untill around Augest, Sept, Oct, Martin loved his wife and daughter very much.

His freinds ae clean shaven business type freinds, not sleazy or dirty old men. and the ones i had met were marreid and descent family men.

I had met maybe four of his freinds who came here to see there mate from England.

I have seen that area where martin was found dead, no way would anyone go there alone or with people at that time of the night.

it's a steep embankment and below the road and if the tide is high enough if you were to fall over the railing its a straight drop into the bay.
Its a steep embankment with small trees and it was around 150-200 metres from where he was checked in at.

let me describe mongrove, it is off the road quaint, sort of like a victorian bed and breakfast tyle place were the Westerners and Eauropeans like to stay because of its quantenance.
It is surrounded by vegetation and trees and plants, and it you are a foreigner and still new here for 1-2 or 3 years you would not know that it was a short time place.

It is a secluded place and that is where he chose to be safe at while protecting his witness at the same time.
Martin did ot come across as a dark or shadey person I am sure he comes from a clean non abussive family as well as having non alcoholic family members around him when he was raised in England to have put him in any wrong type of personality as an adult.

Most often you find that persons who are mean adults are those coming from a childhood environent of being around a parent or parents who is violent or an abusser of alcohol. most kids who end up as hatefull adults do not know any bettter and often you will will find a parent or a cousin or an uncle having a criminal record rangining from physical abuse, stealing, extortionist, shoplifting Etc....
That adult as a child who is mean does not know how to love or be loved all they know is hate and take what they can get materialistically or sometimes emotionally ungreatfully with out even knowing the way they behave is bad.

Martin was giving because it is how he was raised in an environment not rich but not poor but from an environment on knowing what it is to work and keep what you have and appreciate what it is you have worked for.
He knew what it was like to start out from the bottom and since God was good to him he wanted to help Philippine persons here who were not born fortunant.

he is not a rapist and i heard from designers and persons who knew and worked with martin that the employees of martin were very well taken care of.

Atty. lim worked with Martin well, and martin had not just an Atty. in Lim but had made a freind.


I read the police blotter in Jan, 2009, in panglao where it was written that he did not have any grudges with any of the locals.

CSI and autopsy records thank God for that technology because it speaks for the dead. it is capable to make a liar out of any alleged suspect or confirm what he has said. to be true or it could lead into others being involved?

It can pin point many things that the human body endured during the trauma of the murder and the physical aspect sometimes right down as to who is the killer/s and how many were they and what happened in sequence.

ha ha ha yes you are right about that I have actually rode along in a patrol car as a good citizen class student on law. we were becomming better civilians and were trained to be able to make citizen arrests maybe they have tha were you are at.

I miss the police back home who really do they're jobs but there are some in America who do certainly go over board and some who are lazy but most cases 98% they are right in what they have concluded in doing investigations.

I have been busy working on the groups agenda's and goals and told my darling freinds from around the world that I would decline any nominations but for now I am the acttiing Chairman and willing to get this group underway by lending my free time and expereinces from serving on various civic organizations also.

The group is comprized of mainly foreigner males.

Our meeting last week went well especailly with our two guest speakers who were Kit and Atty. Lim who had given wise and strong advises for foreigers.

During the meeting about half of those in attendance were indeed in need of legal services because they were victims of circumstance and some were seperated from wives and just simply wanted to settle half in half of the property dispute regardless if they're wives had paid or not.

You see many Filipino and foreigners are not aware that pre-nuptials are honored here, and that property purchased while marreid with your Filipina/Filipino spouse regardless if they put a penny into it or not it is considered conjugal property in which it will be split equally down the middle, but if the foreignerdies the family of the foreigner also has rights as his next of kin to get they're half and the wife keeps her half. That's the Philippine law.
Hope some of learned from this reply of mine even I have been here many years and did not know some of this untill recently.

The Phlippine Constitution will be changing with in a year in where it will be no longer necessary to have to marry a native from this country to buy and own properties.

In the long run it will be better so that more outside investors can come in to Philippines and build businesses and create more livlihood so that Philippno do not have to leave the country and work in countreis that are so dangerous.

Philippines is a beautiful country ut it does need to clean up in corruption and I am sure many Phllipine persons can agree to that.

today i had taken a look at that area where Martin was discovered dead. No way would anyone go down there at night alone or willingly with abother person especailly martin who was under several threats and attempted homices already.

It would have taken some strong men to get him down there and to do what was done since gulle is just too small too have dragged Martin with as big as he was, martin was a large framed man.

I had also seen the place where he stayed for the first time and it is somewhere where English would rent to sleep at as Earupeans love staying in old fashioned places (bungalow) with a tucked away private place off the main road, it was just on the other side of the small waterway where Martin was found.

Martin had been dragged some 30 mitres and impossible for a man gulle's size do to it alone.
The dammage to the corpse also indicates that was not done alone.

That place is unlit at night and again why would martin want to go to such a place, if gulle is right in saying that he may have thought Borja was raped by martin but he did not see him on her or pennetrating her why would he go there when his room was conveinantly near by?

No foreigner ever in his right mind would ever go to that place with or with out company. It's a perfect place to throw away the murdered hoping his body would wash away with the tide.

The ebankment is shallow and steep and often there is a high tide.

On March 19 he sent a message to freind sayin he would promise to do something for them thats if he was still alive he said on march 23rd, he was murdered, March 24th, he was found dead near the bay and ebankment...Martin knew it all along that death was looking at him in the face.

I am sorry i may not be a detective but it does not take a moron to figure out this was not done by just a little boy alone.

first Gulle admits to stabbing martin 5 times and then it changed to 14 times....are you sure it is just 14 times?

In some countries we know of police who are out of this world who are trusted who are disciplined and who take they're job seriously.

We may know singled out incidents when you tourself has needed the help from a policeman and the work he had done was fast and appropriate you felf good about yourself as well as safe after the help that the good police was able to give.

In some countreis no one would be considered to think about trying to be close with a police man,

In some countries police are even afraid to arrest they're own blood and would rather protect a relative who may have done wrong.

Some police are even bribed dollars in other countreis to persons who are caught violating the law.

Some police men accept sex in some countreis to let law violaters off the hook.

In some countreis police even refuse to go through the right arrest, procedures and investigational procedures such as taking finger prints, closing off crime scenes, and looking at all aspects links and angles.

Some police use they're authotity way too much or not enough.

Some countries allow food to be taken into jails by freinds and family members  with out even being inspected first for possible smuggling of weapons or drugs before it is handed over to the person who is incarcerated.

Some police do not even bother asking for physical evidence to back up what persons say on affadavits and testimonys.

Some police never check the psychoanalysis of a persons behavior before a crime was committed.

Some police do not even bother looking at past attempts of being involved or linkages to a crime that has been committed and persons have been captured.

In some countreis you can see many police doing they're job but in other countreis some are just way to damn lazy or just do not care or some may be even not getting they're right bennefits owed to them so there fore the work may not be taken seriously or things are handled with lax mannerism while on the job.

Why are things so out of control why is there a continuation of escalated crimes every day all around the worl.

In these days and times it is seriously becomming harder as a civilian to trust people let alone persons who are to protect and serve when they can not do a good enough themselves to help get crime off the street.

Instead they become a dirty cop behind a badge.

In my county just about every two miles you can see a cop issuing tickets to traffick violators in some countreis they have no disciplin and drive and violate and put other in harm and danger.
It is also a police mans duty to make sure minor's are not being serveded in public and that intoxicated persons are taken off of the streets so in order to keep them and others safe.

Some of us have been fortunante to travel and see many types of police forces in your own choice and words where have you seen the worst cops at and why?

Maybe if policemen read this topic they might learn from what we have to say maybe they could make things better if it is brought to attention.

Peace and order has to start somewhere.

An association for foreigners is being started in Bohol. This group will be able to help those foreigners who are planning to visit Bohol or come here and make Bohol they're new home away from home.

The association will be able to help foreigners who are looking for advice on services of all types, such as reasonably priced places to stay over night while they are here.

The association members will be registering and providing an emergency contact list for outside the country, medical history including blood type, personal description and a couple of other forms will be filled outr by expats joing the group.

The ideal of the group will be to form a unity amongst foreign member's and they're Filipina partners.
The group will be able to discuss how to cope properly with issues here that are difficult and smoothen them out, give suggestions on what are theproper legal steps in taking on legal matters and who are the outstanding peoples choices for attorneys here who can help them for what ever specific legal issue needed to be handled.

The association plans on having an office in the future to work out of so that foreigners in Bohol can visit the office and talk with other expats on what are the latest happenings here and and be able to sit down and talk amongst others and give advices on how to conduct yourself properly with persons here.

That our association will be open to foreign single men and women and open to couples of either Filipina spouse together with expat, and also expats women who are marreid with expats from here as well.

There will be two guest speaker's who will speak with the expats the first guest speaker will be Atty.Lim who is owner and publisher of The bohol Standard, who will give a talk on foreigners legal rights and the second guest speaker will be Philippine Journalist Kit Bagaipo who writes for both the national newspaper and the local media. Bagaipo plans to give a speech on how the media can help foreigners.

Many other topics will be dicussed at the meeting this coming Monday April 27, 2009 at Brew Points coffee shop or upstairs function room above Soledad Suites at 5 PM.

Anyways back to this topic, Steve Wells had sent me an Email a couple of days a go explaining things more better that his father and his mom were divorced but still freinds.

So if he was dating Filipina's here who wanted to date him then it was okay since he was not commited in England anymore.

Steve was also thankfull for the support of the British Embassy for handling his dads remains as the fastest way that they could.

I hope with our new expat association that willbe holding it's first officail meeting this coming week can really help foreigners and they're loved ones who run into difficult spots can help and assist in smoothing out the problem so that everyone can enjoy Bohol the way it should be.

Good afternoon, evening and morning to everyone who is reading this around the globe.

Today in England the family will be holding a service for Martin who was found stabbed to death 14 times exactly one month ago today.

The service in England will be at 230PM  in the afternoon.

May the family in England have a peacefull and blessed service for some one who was in my eyes a kind person to me and people who were in our circle.

Martin had a good heart to try and help the Philiippine persons, he came to Philippines because I think in my own mind god had sent him on a positive mission here.

He and some freinds whome I have met had plans to build a village area inside of Panglao and make nice housing for very affordable  for Filipinos who are working and sending money home to they're families. (similair to fair housing like HUD).

He and his freinds were not in it for profit as I had heard him talking on his cell phone often and talking with his British freinds and also talking to them in person in front of me when we had taken meals or snacks together.

Martin is not snobbish to me or toward any of my freinds he always discussed about the good things.
Martin loved his daughter Amy very much. Margie he said did not want him around her.

Abby, Margie does receive supplimental funds from English government up untill the age of 18 years old and it is similair to the wellfare systemin the United states has.

The people who reply in here today I would like to make a pleasant suggestion in respects to his family in England holding services today as we kknow they are reading this blog, let's keep our comments positive.

She was bringing women into the police station the week that her husband was found murdered to say that they were allegedly had been raped by him!? why in god sake would she do that and try to continue having her husband convicted by the community and authoriteis here? when he has never been what she was making him out to be?
Glaceir71 yes we do have the dismissed resolution on that case, Gulle's case, and the allegedly hired hitmans case. So was not the wife and the community convicting the dead as well. I could or would never do such a thing no matter how much i had disliked someone.
As I said i am confussed to all of this I would like to hear positive words from everyone about Martin not as if confessin through God that Martin needed to be killed or that martin was a bad man. What is your point?

For me that is bizzare for a wife who should be mourning instead. Then whats more bizzare is the court scene from last week the tears, the saying how you had missed him and that she was seperated in December from her husband it is just so contradicting on her part.

This is not normal behavior for such a case as this.

My big question is she said she loves her husband,  and when martin started having all the attempted assinations against him where was she?

It is expected and normal for a Filipina wife to go to the media and ask for help as to who is the one out to get her husband?
Despite the hard feelings as a loved one it is normal to help them so that they are safe from harm.

News articles on Martin's cases were were printed in both TBS and the Bohol chronicle last Sunday. (court affidavit style.)

By the end of this week it will have gone to the national newspaper's. It is the request by the family of Martin and the authorities in England from what I was told.

I have taken time off from writing for almost a month now including my column last month titled "In Memory of Martin Williams, when that column was read I had received an anynomous text message that my column was a BITCH! I am mourning about the cruel murder of my freind who was always telling us and showing us text messages with threats. He was right all along that some one was out to murder him? Question..

Was he not murdered?


I am sad as his freind I knew him before he had come to me for help as he knew I am in the media and I am frank to the point and hard hitting.


In fact Martin told me in the phone call early last januarary that he had heard I was a a good writer he he he! Yea' good but with sloppy grammar!

We giggled about that. I thought wow what kind of a story is this? this is something hard to do because people here are sensitive to things that happen like this around here.

My freinds here are super sweet and super supportive of me I would not want it any other way.

How do you think I felt when a media colleauge had called me with the early morning find to tell me my freinds worst nightmare had come true.

The scene that Atty. lim and I had seen at the morgue was grabi no words can describe my feelings now.

I am happy that the community is seeing the light now. I just received a phone call from a canadian who had read the newspaper he told me why that guy? He was a regular guy.
He found the news very alarming and indeed it is.

This kind of crimes happen often all over thhe world, and in order to get justice for someone you like or love you must put up a fight for what is right.


I had the pictures developed from the morgue as I stood there watching Atty. lim scrutinize every stab wound on his body. The gash in his head from being hit.

I gave them to Atty. Lim as i could not handle seeing his body like that. Mike our administrator and Lim were saying as they looked at the pictures that it just way too much to bear!



Just analyze things going on in your head. For me I am hobug with everything going on.

All I know about his wife is that he told me he really loved here when they first came here and he was honest in saying that they were having problems.
That's part of being a couple.

Update on court happening in Tagbilaran Bohol,

Alleged Murder suspect is given 2 years and 4 months in prison for having posession of a dangerous weapon which I think is a Bojol Grill table knife (hope Bojol Grill did not ask for it back!)

According to office mates, The wife of Martin was talking with the court secretareis  as she talking in her teers that she's missng her husband and that they have been seperated since December.

Why is the wife present during the sentencing of Gulle? She should still be mourning and letting the law handle the case.
What can she do was she there at the crime scene when it was taking place? What info can she provide to the case?

If my loved one is murdered I would be getting the report after the court and not showwing my face to any alleged killer.

Most people who lose a spouse or loved one or next of kin ussually do not want to have any involvement in making themself visible to the one who has done the killing.

Maybe Gulle would speak his silence if she was not always present?

Philippines needs to learn a few things when it comes to handling parteis involved and to keep them seperated for reasons incase of intimidation provoking.


Also Martin's wife should consider her safety when making herself visible in front of the alleged victim. You know Gulle has freinds and relatives who can visit him. Most persons in her position would be afraid to see the one who allegedly murdered they're loved one or next of kin eye to eye?

Alleged Gulle has not been sentenced yet for the robbery with homocide, when sentenced he can get anywhere from eight or more years depending on severity of crime.

the British Embassy has been callling the court house and monitoring this case very carefullly acording to court worker's here.

Earlier you mentioned about an award. well normally the way it works here is when the paid hitman murder man what ever you call him starts to run out of monies. Then that person who you paid to do your dirty work will start to blackmail you for more money but if your captured as the murder man who does deeds dirt cheap and your hinney ends up in the keister then the one who hired you will visit you in jail and ask you to plead guilty and promise to pay your family with money.

On the other hand if you are not captured by the law and your at large and the money does not kepp getting paid up then the one who did your dirty deed that you have hired him for will say to the authority that you hired them to do a bad thing.

Even Martin had set up an award for the bullets that were intended for him but no one had come forward.

Instead Panglao tourism police were going door to door to solicit for girls to give false allegations for rape charges against Martin.

Even the parents who are having a an honest heart complained about what the police man in Panglao was doing.

Man can you imagine if that airport comes in? Things will just be getting worse here.

Government needs to clean up corrupt police men and train the police to be real police men instead.

Not all police are bad there are some nice ones out there.

but the bad ones are enough to make up for the good ones and mar they're reputation up.

I also notice the date of alleged counter affidavit of rape was dated exactly 10 days to his murder. just thee days before the case would be dismissed.

Now in any investigation the wife must prove her where abouts by receipts any printed out travel ticket's investigator's should talk to her neighbors and businesses who recall seeing here that day of March 23, and any of her family or freinds who are here with here should also be accounted for during time of Martin's death as well as produce ferry and bunka ticket's since by law a passanger list is saved for all boats carrying passengers. (common knoweldge)

It is normal for the spouse in any murder of they're partner to be the one who is the first alleged suspected of murder.

If I am an investigator/judge I would be a hard corp one at that before I am satisfeid that the perssons suspected are not being involved.

Also background of wifes/husband personality, how was she/he as a wife/husband toward the victim while he was alive?

I was really made to honestly beleive that Martin really did love his wife prior to all the attempts against his life and her not being there ever for him?

I know he would cry in front of me about his wife keeping him from seeing they're own child.

She had abandoned him a long time ago. She also had a court date that following Friday after her husband was found murderd. 
That she never showed up for in where she had filed a protection order against her husband?

I always seen him with his English freinds who came to see him from England. i did not ever see him showing off chick's he did not come across to me  as a chicks' boy instead he was an absolute gentleman.

And then the wife is not seen mourning she still wanted to make him look bad even after he was murdered?

What was that all about?

This is in no way normal behavior of a woman who has just lost a husband to murder in my eyes.

Especailly she should of known how lucky she truly was, when he had sold everything back home in Englnd to make her a beautifull life here in the Philippines.

It shoould of been normal for the police to have a serch warrant or close off the property and house of Martin to look for any connections to his murder.
To let the widow in less then 24 hours after his murder wow that's really bizzare!

The police should have taken time to get to know the couples history.

This was a corrupted case and very botched  and very contaminated case rolled into on!

with added biasis thrown in.


Martin Hawthorn did not deserve to have his life ended up in this way!

Martin deserved to have a winner life instead of loosing his life for looser's!



Nothing surprizes me here anymore as I have even seen popular Atty's treat foreigners inhumane here as well.



Makes me think if foreigners are really liked persoons here when the law does not treat foreigner matter's accordingly.


I have lived here eight years and Bohol has really changed.

Native Boholanos will say that they see so many faces here that they do not even recognize as being from here.

Steve Maxwell has emailed me a picture of his father who i do recognize him and he was a another very pleasantlow profile foreigners who has lived here since October, he is looking for a freind of his dad's here in Bohol.

I am familiar with many foreigners here I am sure i can help him once he sends the picure and his name.

I am hearing the death of Maxwell was also maybe having to do with a love triangle.

Maxwell was back in England regarding the selling of his house.

Why do you think they have gunned guards at every entrance of just about every business here, these people do not even trust they're own that much.

In most places in other countreis you will normally just see an armoured bank guard car for the bank and in smalled cities no guards and in bigger cities guards at the banks.

I am hoping members of Tubag Bohol can all log onto this web site this saturday April 18 and offer a moment of silence for the two back to back British Murders that happened to people who chose Bohol as a place to live and make they're home.

During this moemnt of silence this weekend I would like that we reflect on the peace and security we had here before and how can we help in making it go back to the way it was before?

Do not worry the case of Martin Willims is still being investigated as far that I am aware of.

I was able to get up the mental strength to have the pictures of Martin developed as he layed a top the morgue table.

Just looking at the places where he had been stabbed so many times makes one think that Gulle with his size is just to little to have pulled that off by himself.

Especailly with the dragging of Martin's body some 30 mitres as he left a blood trail behind.
Who is to say those involved could have set him up to be down to his breifs to cover up what was the real deal.

Martin would not swim at night especailly whith all the threats and the attempted homicides on him from the past.

Martin I am sure is not happy or at rest at the grave burreid in the ground of a country where it's people have murdered him.

The widow should honor the parents request of they're son and she should have him cremated and sent back to England.

I think she told the police she was on good terms with the inlaws so why does she not ablige?

Charles Maxwell loved to paint and scuba dive and I am sure it was one of the reasons why he had come here to enjoy Bohol.

His family plans to come here and will gather his personal belonings to take back with them.

Charles had recently been in England just two weeks ago visiting his wife in England.

The family is in touch with the Manila british Embassy and are pleased that the Embassy has been very helpfull with them.
