Thats why I love Bohol so much. We're in the Center. :)

Ah, the Heart of Philippines, Jyud. ;D
#38802
Hopefully the shores of Leyte and Samar will continue to protect Bohol from these. And Negros and Panay and Cebu to the west and Mindanao to the south and Luzon to our north.

Bohol, hopefully, will be safely snuggled.

In that case, if a person is baug or infertile, he or she can adopt a child and still instill discipline. Anak is anak, bisan outside of marriage or inside, or natural or adopted ba.

The beauty of this said verse proclaims the Blessed Grace of Christ Jesus. The thousands of and women that seeked for Jesus were not content and wanted to see Him again. Called by the Spirit, they got on the boats to see The Christ. To Capernaum. They asked him beautifully, "Rabbi, when did you get here?"

Christ Our Lord replied, "Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me
not because you saw signs
but because you ate the loaves and were filled.
Do not work for food that perishes
but for the food that endures for eternal life,
which the Son of Man will give you.
For on him the Father, God, has set his seal."

This is proof for me, of the Bread and Body of Christ, which is offered to us, daily in The Mass. So wonderful to read this verse. :)

Talking about genes, have you heared about gene mutations? We are exposed nowadays with strong chemicals (deo sprays, cosmetics, household detergents) and pollutions that our genes mutates causing sickness or diseases never heared before. This was the result of Charitè hospital in Berlin.
We became easily prone to cancers and tumors, although this is latent in our body most of the time, our immune system gets easily weak that it is easy for these cells to become malignant.

Yes, Manay Tess, thats very true.

What is beautiful in medicine is the progress of gene therapy. We are now, though limited in ability still, capable in inserting wild type genes into an affected individual's bone marrow, where his/her mutative genes have proliferated. The insertion of wild type genes in the bone marrow and injecting of erythorpoetics will allow the increased expression of correct wild type genes.

So as much as normal gene function can be rehabilitated/restored.

This has been beneficial in the treatment (palliatiative) of Tay Sachs, Gauchers, Niemann Picks, Influenza, Poliomyelitis, etc.

Gospel Reading of day

After Jesus had fed the five thousand men, his disciples saw him walking on the sea.
The next day, the crowd that remained across the sea
saw that there had been only one boat there,
and that Jesus had not gone along with his disciples in the boat,
but only his disciples had left.
Other boats came from Tiberias
near the place where they had eaten the bread
when the Lord gave thanks.
When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there,
they themselves got into boats
and came to Capernaum looking for Jesus.
And when they found him across the sea they said to him,
"Rabbi, when did you get here?"
Jesus answered them and said,
"Amen, amen, I say to you, you are looking for me
not because you saw signs
but because you ate the loaves and were filled.
Do not work for food that perishes
but for the food that endures for eternal life,
which the Son of Man will give you.
For on him the Father, God, has set his seal."
So they said to him,
"What can we do to accomplish the works of God?"
Jesus answered and said to them,
"This is the work of God, that you believe in the one he sent."

Reading for the day

Stephen, filled with grace and power,
was working great wonders and signs among the people.
Certain members of the so-called Synagogue of Freedmen,
Cyreneans, and Alexandrians,
and people from Cilicia and Asia,
came forward and debated with Stephen,
but they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.
Then they instigated some men to say,
"We have heard him speaking blasphemous words
against Moses and God."
They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes,
accosted him, seized him,
and brought him before the Sanhedrin.
They presented false witnesses who testified,
"This man never stops saying things against this holy place and the law.
For we have heard him claim
that this Jesus the Nazorean will destroy this place
and change the customs that Moses handed down to us."
All those who sat in the Sanhedrin looked intently at him
and saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

Paul was the first of the Apostles to convert non-Jews. Many other of the apostles questioned why he did this, as the thought of the day was that Jesus was the Messiah for the Jews. Not for Gentiles (non-gews, greeks, romans, slaves, african etc).

Paul's message to us is beautiful, guys. Though he converted Jews, his main goal was to convert the Gentiles. So as that salvation could be for them as well.

The meaning and beauty recieve from the works of Paul the Apostle is the power of faith. Salvation is for anyone, anyone who yearn to be saved, and open their hearts to Jesus.

Paul was less conservative as the rest of the Apostles. But was the conservatism of the rest of the Apostles wrong? No. Of course not.

Jesus Christ Our Lord instilled in all of them the Holy Spirit in Pentecost so that they could speak in foreign tongues to all peoples whom they would spread the word. Peter himself going to Rome and lead the conversion of the Roman Empire from within.

The meaning: There will be differences in methodology, but the sole truth is proclaimed. We could all learn so much from the reconciliation with Paul and Timothy Luke and John. :)

God Bless,

Buwad igsoon,

We will all differ in aspects, and meanings when it comes to Scripture, even in the family of Catholicism, there are differences in practice, faith. Same in Baptist churches, presbyterian churches, methodist churches.

In my limited experience from attending collegiate meetings with fellow Christian brothers and sisters, there are so much similarity between all of us. There are sole truths that other protestant brothers and orthodox brothers keep that are in line with what the RCC has taught and proclaimed.

Na'ay differences, of course.

Even after the death of Jesus Christ Our Lord, there were differences in professing scripture amongst Timothy, Paul, and Peter, and John, and Luke.

Blessed Peter sometimes had to correct Paul and Timothy. If you read the books in New Testament. But in the end, the beauty of it is that there they were reconciled in their faith. Timothy, Luke and John, who once did not like Paul (Saul as he was known before) due to Paul's links to the death of Stephen.

But as Paul reminds us, that humility is always best. Paul refers to himself as the 'least' or 'Last' because he was the last to be an Apostle. Though he did not see Christ face to face as often as the rest of the Apostles, HE saw Christ in the road. Where he was blinded, and from then, he former Saul became known as Paul. A follower of Christ.

Differences can be ameliorated, my friend. In Christ Jesus, anything and everything is possible.

He parted the waters fro Moses. :)
He raised Lazarus from the dead :)
And he fed thousands, healed thousands, and continues to do so today.

God Bless, bro.

ingon man gud sila nga thru Christ lang ang lahat. you avoid the discussion my friend. fight, tira, ipahungaw imong gi bati!

I know what you mean, Buwad. Dili man ta mo worship ang saints. The saints are there as a guide, their acts in life were soley based on the worship of Jesus, faith in Jesus, acts on Jesus, dying for Jesus.

The saints are merely there for our own guide. For many who are called sometimes falter, their faith wanes because they are tempted, they are persecuted, sometimes even forced to change beliefs.

The Lord Jesus even says to us that we are all saints. All of us that believes in the Lord.

Peace.

Jesus Christ Told His apostles that His Father's Mansion has many rooms.

Meaning that there is space for anyone and all who believe in Him. Race, gender, creed, do not matter.

We learned already from the conversion of the Roman Centurion under the hand of Peter the Apostle. The conversion of former pagan Greeks and Romans. The early Romans and Greeks risked all to believe in Jesus, many of them died in the arena and the gladiatoral games, simply refusing to denounce their faith in Jesus Christ!

Can you imagine? They died for their faith. Blessing those who persecuted them, till the very end.

If we, children of Christ, were to have that kind of faith our brothers and sisters that lived before us, it would be so beautiful.

St. Timothy tells us that being a christian will never be easy. For there will be those that will tempt us, make one question. It is up to the individual, to stick to the faith.

Scripture tells us:

"You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11persecutions, sufferingsâ€"what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them. 12In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

2 Timothy 3: 10-17

We are all Christian brothers in Christ, Buwad igsoon. Be it if we are Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Baptist, Aglipayan, Iglesia Ni Christo, Presbyterian, Anglican. If you believe in your heart and your soul that Jesus Christ is The Lord. And you believe that your sins are washed away by His dying on the cross, and that you believe that you will be raised on the last day, you will be saved.

Salvation Is only for those who believe in Him, and Honor the laws that he said he came to fulfill.

The overall arguments we make on another as Christian brothers is futile, manner of worship may differ, translation may differ. But the yolk of the message of Salvation does not change.

I hope that answers your question, bro.

Christ Our Lord is God who came down from Heaven.
The Word Made Flesh.

He is the Messiah promised in olden days.
He is Salvation and Eternal Life, the means for which we are to be saved.

How can many ask if there is any salvation aside from Jesus?
For there is No One beside Jesus Christ The Lord.

If you reject Jesus, you reject salvation from The Most High.
And doom yourself to everlasting pyre.

It is simple.

This prayer can be traced back to the early church days in Spain.
When the Word of God spread from Jerusalem to all 4 corners of the Roman Empire.

This prayer, originated in Spain, is found in the Latin World
and Philippines, too.

Padre nuestro tú que estás
en los que aman la verdad
haz que el reino que por ti se dio
llegue pronto a nuestro corazón
que el amor que tu hijo nos dejó
ese amor, reine ya en nosotros
y en el pan de la unidad
Cristo, danos tu la paz
y olvídate de nuestro mal
si olvidamos el de los demás
no permitas que caigamos en tentación

You're on the phone with your girlfriend, She's upset
She's going off about something that you said
She doesnt get your humour like I do

I'm in the room, its a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesnt like
And she'll never know your story like I do

But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts
She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming bout the day when you'll wake up and find
That what you're lookin for has been here the whole time

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along so why can't you see?
You belong with me
You belong with me

Walkin the streets with you in your worn out jeans
I cant help thinking this is how it ought to be
Laughing on the park bench thinkin to myself
Hey isnt this easy?

And you've got a smile that could light up this whole town
I havent seen it in awhile, since she brought you down
You say you find I know you better than that
Hey, Whatcha doing with a girl like that?

She wears high heels, I wear sneakers
She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming bout the day when you'll wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time

If you could see that I'm the one who understands you
Been here all along so why can't you see?
You belong with me

Standin by, waiting at your back door
All this time how could you not know that?
You belong with me
You belong with me

Oh I remember you driving to my house in the middle of the night
I'm the one who makes you laugh when you know you're about to cry
I know your favorite songs and you tell me about your dreams
I think I know where you belong. I think I know it's with me.

Can't you see that I'm the one who understand you?
Been here all along so why can't you see?
You belong with me

Standing by or waiting at your back door
All this time how could you not know that
You belong with me
You belong with me

Have you ever thought just maybe
You belong with me
You belong with me

Righteousness being restored
And these are the days of great trial
Of famine and darkness and sword
So we are the voice in the desert crying
Prepare ye the way of the Lord

CHORUS:
Behold he comes
Riding on a cloud
Shining like the sun
At the trumpet's call
Lift your voice
It's the year of jubilee
Out of Zion 'till salvation comes

And these are the days of Ezekiel
With dry bones becoming as flesh
And these are the days of his servant, David
Building the temple of praise, yes
And these are the days of the harvest
The fields are all white in the world
And we are the laborers that are in your vineyard
declaring the word of the Lord

CHORUS 2X
Behold he comes
Riding on a cloud
Shining like the sun
At the trumpet's call
Lift your voice
It's the year of jubilee
Out of Zion 'till salvation comes

There's no God like Jehovah (x8--modulate)
There's no God like Jehovah (x8--modulate)
There's no God like Jehovah (x7)

Gospel Reading Of The Day

The two disciples recounted what had taken place on the way,
and how Jesus was made known to them
in the breaking of bread.

While they were still speaking about this,
he stood in their midst and said to them,
"Peace be with you."
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, "Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have."
And as he said this,
he showed them his hands and his feet.
While they were still incredulous for joy and were amazed,
he asked them, "Have you anything here to eat?"
They gave him a piece of baked fish;
he took it and ate it in front of them.

He said to them,
"These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you,
that everything written about me in the law of Moses
and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled."
Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
And he said to them,
"Thus it is written that the Christ would suffer
and rise from the dead on the third day
and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins,
would be preached in his name
to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
You are witnesses of these things."

Luke 24: 35-48

2nd Reading of The Day

My children, I am writing this to you
so that you may not commit sin.
But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous one.
He is expiation for our sins,
and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep
his commandments.
Those who say, "I know him," but do not keep his commandments
are liars, and the truth is not in them.
But whoever keeps his word,
the love of God is truly perfected in him.

Today's Mass Reading:

Peter said to the people:
"The God of Abraham,
the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,
the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus,
whom you handed over and denied in Pilate's presence
when he had decided to release him.
You denied the Holy and Righteous One
and asked that a murderer be released to you.
The author of life you put to death,
but God raised him from the dead; of this we are witnesses.
Now I know, brothers,
that you acted out of ignorance, just as your leaders did;
but God has thus brought to fulfillment
what he had announced beforehand
through the mouth of all the prophets,
that his Christ would suffer.
Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away."

I need you brother to qoute me one verse in your bible that Jesus said I am God or worship me?

almost every single of your paragraph it mention Lord ,God Lord God. Im asking who is this Lord God? Jesus? please i want to know.

Let me ask you a rhetorical question, my dear friend.
Where in Holy Sacred Scripture is it that the Lord Jesus Christ Who Is Lord, denies His Father ?
Where in Scripture does Christ Our Lord denies His Divinity?

Christ Jesus is THE LORD.
The only begotten Son of the Lord God

The entire continuity of The New Testament is written by the apostles of Christ, that bears witness to His rising of the dead, of His Divine Nature and unity with the Father.

Please Read,

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
â€"1 John 5:11-12

again,

The Jews therefore said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I AM."
-John 8:57-58

again,

"I and the Father are one." The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God."
-John 10:30-33

And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me does not believe in Me, but in Him who sent Me. And he who beholds Me beholds the One who sent Me. I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness."
-John 12:44-46

AND AGAIN

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him." Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how do you say, 'Show us the Father'?"
-John 14:6-9

God Bless You!

The word of god came to me ."son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother; they played the harlot in egypt; they played the harlot in thier youth;there their breast ere pressed and their virgin bosoms handled.

IS THIS THE WORD OF GOD? SHAME

You are only reading and analyzing one very short verse. My friend, read the entire book that that verse came from. :)

You are sharing only the first 3 verses of the Book of Ezekiel Chapter 23 in the Old Testament. Chapter 23 has over 29 verses, and you were only analyzing the first 3 verse, which was not even the introduction.

If you read the whole and entire chapter 23 in the Book of Ezekiel, you will understand, upon contemplation, that the Lord God was talking through Prophet Ezekiel about the abominable acts that the Israelites have inherited from their stay in Egypt. Per se the sacrificing and praising of idols, harlotry, sexual temptation, and all other perverse speech.

The entire chapter 23 of Ezekiel is the Lord God rebuking the people for their sin of idolatry and prostitution. Which have angered the Lord God Most High.

It is culminated in a verse in said chapter, specifically verse 49 of Ezekiel Chapter 23,
"Thus your lewdness shall be recompensed upon you and you shall suffer the penalty for your sinful idolatry; and you shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord God."

The Lord God sends  wonderful and powerful message, one in which has been constant since Genesis and Exodus till the Book of Revelation in New Testament.

Please, I invite you, my friend, to read more into scripture. Read every single book in old testament and not just take specific verses here and there. As you are failing to read the entire message.

It is the same as a student studying for an exam, yet instead of reading the 10 chapters for his examination, he only reads the first 3 chapters, yet takes the exam, knowing full well that he didn't master the rest of the 7 chapters.

Same situation in regards to reading scripture.

God Bless. :)
I invite you to read more of the Holy Bible.
Again, God Bless you.

Quote from: Jesusmessenger on April 26, 2009, 04:06:55 PM
WHO ARE THE WAY,THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE IN TIME OF DAVID,MOSES AND ETC...?

My friend,

You are confused in your contemplation and comprehension.

Please take time to read the Bible from the first book in Old Testament to the New Testament and not reading snips of bible verses that are incomplete.

During the times of Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Baruch, Job, Habakkuk, David, Jacob and the other host of prophets, the Lord God spoke to men and the nation of Israel through prophets. Please note that since the fall of man in Genesis (the banishment of man from Eden), the Lord God was separated already from man.

The arrival of Jesus Christ completes the message, as Christ Jesus is the Word Made Flesh.
And the Word Is God.

Jesus especially asked his apostles who THEY thought he was. And It was REVEALED!

13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
14 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
17 Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

-Matthew 16:13-19

Jesus is not a prophet, Jesus is not a mere man.
Jesus Christ WHO IS LORD! Is THE MIGHTY GOD. Who came down from Heaven to Earth to be the ultimate and perfect lamb. Who died for our sins, so that salvation would be guaranteed to those who BELIEVED IN HIM!

The beauty of Salvation, my friend, is that the LORD MIGHTY GOD, who is MERCY has provided a means for man, who has already fallen to the temptations of the flesh and sins innumerable, to attain and acquire salvation. And that is through Christ Jesus Our Lord.

We are told, again,
of the DIVINE nature of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said to them, "I Am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.
36 But I told you that although you have seen (me), you do not believe.
37 Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me,
38 because I came down from heaven not to do my own will but the will of the one who sent me.
39 And this is the will of the one who sent me, that I should not lose anything of what he gave me, but that I should raise it (on) the last day.

40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him (on) the last day."
41 The Jews murmured about him because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven,"

-John 6: 35-41

Jesus Christ Is the Messiah.

God Bless :)

In sleep he sang to me,
in dreams he came
that voice which calls to me and speaks my name

And do
I dream again?
For now
I find the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside my mind

Sing once again with me our strange duet
My power over you grows stronger yet

And though you turn from me,
to glance behind,
the Phantom of the Opera is there - inside your mind

Those who have seen your face draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear

It's me they hear

Your/My spirit and my/your voice in one
combined: the Phantom of the Opera
is there - inside your/my mind

He's there,
the Phantom of the Opera
Beware the Phantom of the Opera

In all your fantasies,
you always knew that man and mystery

were both in you

And in this labyrinth where night is blind,
the Phantom of the Opera is there/here - inside your/my mind

Sing, my Angel of Music!

He's there the Phantom of the Opera
