daghan kaajong homeless dinhi sa states. naay tent city sa lakewood, new jersey. naa poy daghang ga pujo sa ilawpm sa mga tunnel in new york and nevada
#3618
LAKEWOOD â€" When he left his the place where he lives in Lakewood this morning, Charles Bowers didn’t know whether he would be allowed to return.
Bowers lives in a tent in a wooded encampment where he and his 23-year-old son have found a home with about 70 other homeless people.
Today a Superior Court judge in Ocean County â€" saying the government has a responsibility to provide for the poor â€" refused to evict Bowers and the other residents from the makeshift camp that township officials claim is a dangerous public nuisance.
"Looks like we’ll live to see another day,’’ said Bowers, an unemployed Tennessee native who has lived in what has been named Tent City for about two months after losing his construction job and his home in Lacey Township.
Since 2006, from 25 to 70 homeless people have been living in the communal setting, eating their meals there and living in tents only a half-mile from the stadium where the Lakewood BlueClaws play minor league baseball.
Lakewood officials want the camp closed, and point to the serious injuries suffered by a handful of its residents from exploding propane tanks and the harsh elements. They say the homeless residents are usurping public property.
"This is purse and simple a seizure of property," said Michael DeCicco, an attorney for Lakewood. "The importance of this decision, this case, I cannot overemphasize because in my view a decision allowing homeless individuals to remain on this property indefinitely ... would eviscerate centuries of Anglo Saxon property law.’’
The Rev. Steve Brigham, who founded Tent City through his Lakewood Outreach Ministry Church, has refused to close the camp, claiming Lakewood and Ocean County do not provide adequate shelter for the homeless.
The county says it provides more than enough resources, all that it can afford, and contends some residents have refused the services offered.
But Jeffrey Wild, an attorney for the Tent City residents, says the county and township’s remedy â€" paying $100 a night for motel stays â€" is only a Band-Aid. He says the poor in Ocean County need a shelter and affordable housing.
``We can do better," Wild said outside the courthouse. "We can use the money more efficiently."
Instead of taking immediate action, Judge Joseph Foster said he wanted to hold a hearing to decide whether Lakewood has legal grounds for trying to remove the residents from the wooded area where they live, situated off Cedar Bridge Avenue.
But Foster also said they could not stay there forever.
"What the parties will have to address here is the ultimate remedy," he told a crowd of more than 30 Tent City residents and supporters crammed in his Toms River courtroom. "The parties have agreed here this can’t go on indefinitely."
Brigham, the township and the county reached a tentative agreement last year when the county and township pledged to devote more resources to homeless residents.
At that time he agreed not to build wooden structures and remove others that existed were already there. The agreement came to an abrupt end last winter when residents built wood shanties, which Brigham said were necessary to protect them from the significant snowfall.
Wild said there would probably be no hearing while all sides pursued a resolution through court-ordered mediation.

How to attract money into your life

Sometimes it’s good to remind yourself, that there is always something you can do to make a situation better than it is.
The truth is that when things are getting tough, by reminding yourself positive affirmations, positive quotes and using positive thinking,  you can change your day for better and make your dreams come true.

Our mind is the source of all creation. If you want to attract a life of prosperity and abundance, you have to stop complaining, because thoughts that bring about bad feelings means you are not on the right track. I know it's hard to think you have  lots of money, when it's not true, but it's worth to give it a go. All you have to do is reprogram your mind and the best way to do it is by using  affirmations.

Affirmations and visualizations are  extremely powerful tools to change your life. Every thought you think and every word you say is an affirmation. Our self-talk, the things we say to ourself is very important, because it directly effects our conscious and subconsious mind. We listen to everything we say to ourself. The time for affirmations to become a reality is depending on your beliefs, how powerful the positive statement is and how determined you are to make a change in your life.

As you develop the habit of using positive affirmations in your life, you will begin to explore your feelings, beliefs and desire to continue to change and to create a life full of joy and fulfillment.
Below is a collection of affirmations for attracting money into your life. Remember that they work best if you really tune into the feelings of what you are focusing on. Say them with confidence and try to feel the essence of the intent.

AFFIRMATIONS FOR MONEY :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I choose to live an abundant life.
Every day I am getting more and more money.
I am a magnet for money, I have now more than I need.
Money comes to me easily.
Money loves me.
The affirmations about money that I repeat attract money to me.
My financial situation is improving day by day.
Decide what you want, believe you can have it, believe you deserve it, believe it is possible for you. Close your eyes and visualize having what you already want and the feeling of already having it.
 Moapil ang HNU Chess Team coached by Nick Pagaran . Ang opisina sa Gobernador sa Bohol  gidapit nga magpadala ug representative para sa Inspirational Message during the Opening Program. Napalitan na pud  ug round-trip fastcraft ticket ang modala sa mga chess clocks ug chess mats from Cebu nga si Marvin Ruela, opisyal sa Cebu Chess Association.. Usa siya nga motabang sa pagpadagan sa Balong Chess Tournament.
Naay National Master nga nagparehistro si Elmer Sumngat. Posible usab nga moabot gikan sa Cebu si International Master Anthony Makinano, taga Cebu, pero sa Bohol natawo.
Daku nakong pasalamat sa atong webmaster MIKE LIGALIG w/out whom this tournament would not have been possible.
It is my hope that in the future we can attract grandmasters to our tournament. In a few years tagaan nato ug mas daku nga premyo. So far the biggest prize given for a chess tournament was P20,000 by the Shell Corporation. Malooy ang Ginoo maka hatag pod unja ta ug ingon ana ka dak-a nga premyo.
What's So Great About Wheatgrass?
1- Wheatgrass Juice is one of the best sources of living chlorophyll available.
2- Chlorophyll is the first product of light and, therefore, contains more light energy than any other element.
3- Wheatgrass juice is a crude chlorophyll and can be taken orally and as a colon implant without toxic side effects.
4- Chlorophyll is the basis of all plant life.
5- Wheatgrass is high in oxygen like all green plants that contain chlorophyll.  The brain and all body tissues function at an optimal level in a highly-oxygenated environment.
6- Chlorophyll is anti-bacterial and can be used inside and outside the body as a healer.
7- Dr. Bernard Jensen says that it only takes minutes to digest wheatgrass juice and uses up very little body energy.
8- Science has proven that chlorophyll arrests growth and development  of unfriendly bacteria.
9- Chlorophyll (wheatgrass) rebuilds the bloodstream.  Studies of various animals have shown chlorophyll to be free of any toxic reaction.  The red cell count was returned to normal within 4 to 5 days of the administration of chlorophyll, even in those animals which were known to be extremely anemic or low in red cell count.
10- Farmers in the Midwest who have sterile cows and bulls put them on wheatgrass to restore fertility.  (The high magnesium content in chlorophyll builds enzymes that restore the sex hormones.)
11- Chlorophyll can be extracted from many plants, but wheatgrass is superior because it has been found to have over 100 elements needed by man. If grown in organic soil, it absorbs 92 of the known 102 minerals from the soil.
12- Wheatgrass has what is called the grass-juice factor, which has been shown to keep herbivorous animals alive indefinitely.
13- Dr. Ann Wigmore and institutes based on her teachings has been helping people get well from chronic disorders for 30 years using wheatgrass.
14- Liquid chlorophyll gets into the tissues, refines them and makes them over.
15- Wheatgrass Juice is a superior detoxification agent compared to carrot juice and other fruits and vegetables. Dr Earp-Thomas, associate of Ann Wigmore, says that 15 pounds of Wheatgrass is the equivalent of 350 pounds of carrot, lettuce, celery, and so forth.
16- Liquid chlorophyll washes drug deposits from the body.
17- Chlorophyll neutralizes toxins in the body.
18- Chlorophyll helps purify the liver.
19- Chlorophyll improves blood sugar problems.
19- In the American Journal of Surgery (1940), Benjamin Gruskin, M.D. recommends chlorophyll for its antiseptic benefits. The article suggests the following clinical uses for chlorophyll: to clear up foul smelling odors, neutralize Strep infections, heal wounds, hasten skin grafting, cure chronic sinusitis, overcome chronic inner-ear inflammation and infection, reduce varicose veins and heal leg ulcers, eliminate impetigo and other scabby eruptions, heal rectal sores, successfully treat inflammation of the uterine cervix, get rid of parasitic vaginal infections, reduce typhoid fever, and cure advanced pyorrhea in many cases.21 Wheatgrass Juice cures acne and even help to remove scars after it has been ingested for seven  to eight months.  The diet must be improved at the same time.
21- Wheatgrass Juice helps with acne and even removes scars after it has been ingested for seven to eight months. The diet must be improved at the same time.
22- Wheatgrass juice acts as a detergent in the body and is used as a body deodorant.
23- A small amount of wheatgrass juice in the human diet helps prevents tooth decay.
24- Wheatgrass juice held in the mouth for 5 minutes will help eliminate toothaches.  It pulls poisons from the gums.
25- Gargle Wheat grass Juice for a sore throat.
26- Drink Wheatgrass Juice for skin problems such as eczema or psoriasis.
27- Wheat grass Juice keeps the hair from graying.
28- Pyorrhea of the mouth: lay pulp of wheatgrass soaked in juice on diseased area in mouth or chew wheat grass, spitting out the pulp.
29- By taking Wheat grass Juice, one may feel a difference in strength, endurance, health, and spirituality, and experience a sense of well-being.
30- Wheatgrass juice improves the digestion.
31- Wheat grass juice is high in enzymes.
32- Wheatgrass juice is an excellent skin cleanser and can be absorbed through the skin for nutrition. Pour green juice over your body in a tub of warm water and soak for 15 to 20 minutes.  Rinse off with cold water.
33- Wheatgrass implants (enemas) are great for healing and detoxifying the colon walls.  The implants also heal and cleanse the internal organs.  After an enema, wait 20 minutes, then implant 4 ounces of wheatgrass juice.  Retain for 20 minutes.
34- Wheatgrass juice is great for constipation and keeping the bowels open.  It is high in magnesium.
35- Dr. Birscher, a research scientist, called chlorophyll "concentrated sun power." He said, "chlorophyll increases the function of the heart, affects the vascular system, the intestines, the uterus, and the lungs."
36- According to Dr. Birscher, nature uses chlorophyll (wheatgrass) as a body cleanser, rebuilder, and neutralizer of toxins.
37- Wheat grass juice can dissolve the scars that are formed in the lungs from breathing acid gasses.  The effect of carbon monoxide is minimized since chlorophyll increases hemoglobin production.
38- Wheatgrass Juice reduces high blood pressure and enhances the capillaries.
39- Wheat grass Juice can remove heavy metals from the body.
40- Wheatgrass juice is great for blood disorders of all kinds.
The Internet is a big fan of the worst-possible-thing. Many people thought Twitter was the worst possible way for people to communicate, little more than discourse abbreviated into tiny little chunks; Facebook was a horrible way to experience human relationships, commodifying them into a list of friends whom one pokes. The Arab Spring changed the story somewhat. (BuzzFeed is another exampleâ€"let them eat cat pictures.) One recipe for Internet success seems to be this: Start at the bottom, at the most awful, ridiculous, essential idea, and own it. Promote it breathlessly, until you’re acquired or you take over the world. Bitcoin is playing out in a similar way. It asks its users to forget about central banking in the same way Steve Jobs asked iPhone (AAPL) users to forget about the mouse.
I have an intense memory from the early 1990s, when I was just out of college. I was seated alone in a diner. Suddenly a loud man behind me pronounced, “Internet time is like regular time but seven times faster.” I turned around to see a well-dressed adult, a serious person. I was mystified. How could he believe something so facile and arbitrary? On and on he went, expounding on the magical number seven.
Having been through one or two bubbles, I’ve learned that people can believe exactly what they want to believe. That’s one of the privileges of being a human with money to spend. When you compound utopian wishfulness with the anxiety of being left behind, you’ll have a bubble. Then again, we may be at the forefront of the coming Bitcoin revolution. There’s no way to be sure. I’ll admit to having run the Bitcoin mining software a few years ago for a week until I became convinced it was a poor use of limited computer resources. I had work to do. I expected Bitcoins to remain in the background with all of the other anarchist crypto-chatter that makes up an essential substratum of modern network thinking.
But Bitcoins didn’t go away. And I’m increasingly convinced there’s one thing that Bitcoins do that’s genuinely interesting. They decentralize trust. Trust is hard to earn; verifying transactions is a brutal problem, which is why PayPal locks down your account when there’s too much money flowing into it. Creating trust is traditionally the work of federal governments and branding agencies. Trust is also an easy thing to squander. Just close a beloved service, à la Google Reader. Or allow your banks to fail, causing an entire country to suddenly realize that the value of their deposits, the fundamental integrity of their financial selves, was arbitrary all along.
Along comes Bitcoin, a currency in which every transaction is stored by the entire network and every coin has its own story. There’s nothing to trust but math. Suddenly an idea that sounded terribleâ€"a totally decentralized currency without a central authority, where semi-anonymous parties exchange meaningless tokensâ€"becomes almost comforting, a source of power and authority.
That’s where Bitcoin thrives: where people would prefer to throw in their lot with anonymous strangers instead of the world economy. It’s gold-bug thinking reinvented for an age of fluid transparency and instantaneous transactions. And as such it’s an excellent indicator of anxiety. Where you see Bitcoins in action you find a weird and heady mix of speculative angst, a fear of being left behind, and people who appear to have lost faith in institutions, who feel most left behind. These are people who’ll trade in purely arbitrary tokens, willing to forgo the comfort of banking systems for the weight of mathematics and the Internet behind it.
Bitcoin isn’t tied to any commodityâ€"besides trust. As a statement on the global economy, Bitcoin is hilarious. As a currency for the disenfranchised and distrustful, it’s as serious as can be.
Bitcoin May Be the Global Economy's Last Safe Haven
By Paul Ford on March 28, 2013
One of the oddest bits of news to emerge from the economic collapse of Cyprus is a corresponding rise in the value of Bitcoin, the Internet’s favorite, media-friendly, anarchist crypto-currency. In Spain, Google (GOOG) searches for “Bitcoin” and downloads of Bitcoin apps soared. The value of a Bitcoin went up to $78. Someone put out a press release promising a Bitcoin ATM in Cyprus. Far away, in Canada, a man said he’d sell his house for BTC5,362.
Bitcoin was created in 2009 by a pseudonymous hacker who calls him or herself Satoshi Nakamoto (and who might be several people). It’s a form of virtual cash used to buy goods and services online. Even by Web standards, it’s a strange and supergeeky phenomenon. This is what happens when software and networks meet the concept of currency, when you take peer-to-peer networks and advanced cryptography and ask, “How can I make a new economy?”
There are 10,952,975 Bitcoins in circulation. (With a digital currency you can be specific.) Bitcoin isn’t about to replace hard currencyâ€"with a market cap of $864 million, all of it is worth less than what Facebook (FB) paid for Instagramâ€"but it’s bigger than anyone expected. And many people will tell you that the emergence of a virtual global money supply beyond the reach and control of any government is very real and that it’s time we take it seriously. As long as the Internet remains turned on, Bitcoin will be thereâ€"to its adherents, it’s the Platonic currency.
A dollar bill has a serial number and travels from buyer to seller. A Bitcoin’s not so much a thing as an understanding, a balance in a decentralized general ledger, or “account log.” Bitcoins are created as the side effect of a great deal of meaningless computational work. That is, the computer could be working on protein-folding, or processing images, or doing something else with its time, but instead it’s being used to “mine” Bitcoinsâ€"searching for mathematical needles in a networked haystack. Once the needle is found, a “block” of Bitcoins is born. Bitcoins live in a bit of software known as your “wallet.”
How did they get there? Perhaps you minted them by mining, or bought them on an exchange, or received them as part of a barter transaction. Now those Bitcoins are burning a bithole in your bitpocket, and you want to buy something. How do you spend them? Clicking around your wallet app, you set up a payment and put in the Bitcoin address of the recipientâ€"something memorable and fun, like 1Ns17iag9jJgTHD1VXjvLCEnZuQ3rJDE9L. A few minutes later, after the peer-to-peer network has authorized the transaction as legitimate, the recipient’s wallet, wherever it is, will show that you’ve paid up.
How is this different from PayPal (EBAY)? In theory anyone could run his own version of PayPal on a server and use that to transfer funds between parties. But he’d also need to handle world currencies, deal with security, and handle regulations. Similarly, physical banks promise protections above and beyond stuffing cash in a mattress or dropping it off in paper bags. Financial institutions commodify trustâ€"it’s not their money, after all. It’s yours. Yet you trust them more than you trust yourself.
Bitcoin shrugs all this off. It’s not pegged to anything, and there are no regulations. It’s a supercomputer-size chore to counterfeit. The key thing to understand is that there’s no bank, no Federal Reserve, in the middle. It’s not unlike an exchange-traded fund (for example, FORX, from Pimco)â€"a mix of non-U.S. currenciesâ€"designed as a hedge against the dollar. Bitcoin is a hedge against the entire global currency system. And no exchange is needed, unless you want to convert your Bitcoin into an actual hard currency.
Bitcoin is no more arbitrary than derivatives or credit default swaps. Given that regular folks, if they’re nerdy and interested in Bitcoins, can use the currency for all manner of things, including illegal things, it’s arguably a far less arbitrary instrument.
Maybe Bitcoin’s devotees are right, and it’s the currency of the future. Or perhaps it’s a ridiculous jokeâ€"a speculative, hilarious enterprise taken to its most insane conclusion. Given that the founder is nowhere to be found, it feels like a hoax, a parody of the global economy. That the technology used to implement it has, so far, shown itself to be impeccable and completely functional, and that it’s actually being exchanged, just makes it a better joke. The truth is, it doesn’t much matter if it’s a joke or not. It works.
Eike Batista, the Man Who Lost $25 Billion in One Year
By Alex Cuadros, Juan Pablo Spinetto, and Cristiane Lucchesi on March 28, 2013
A year ago, Eike Batista was Brazil’s richest man, and his goal of climbing to No. 1 in the world seemed within reach. After founding five publicly traded natural-resource companies in six years, he’d just sold a stake in his EBX Group conglomerate that valued his holdings at $34.5 billion. His companies had yet to turn a profit, so the deal, struck with an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, was mainly a testament to Batista’s vision: an integrated empire of companies, shipping oil and iron ore to China from a port he was building near Rio de Janeiro. “I think Eike is a special kind of entrepreneur,” said Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff during a visit to the port project in April. “He’s a person who comes up with extremely ambitious dreams and then seeks to fulfill them.”
Today, Batista’s empire is under siege. His port, which he said would be the third-largest in the world, is still under construction, just one of many delayed projects and missed production targets. That, together with a 34 percent decline in the price of oil since 2008, has battered his companies’ share prices and knocked $25 billion off his net worth, more than the entire fortune of Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos. “People were basically investing in a PowerPoint presentation,” says Ed Kuczma, an emerging-markets analyst at Van Eck Associates, which holds shares in Batista’s companies. “He’s very charismatic. I’ve seen him on roadshows and he definitely lightens up a room when he walks in. But he doesn’t have the credibility he used to.”
With a net worth of $9 billion, Batista has fallen off the Bloomberg Billionaires Index’s top 100 and dropped to No. 4 in Brazil. Investors, concerned about his companies’ continued ability to borrow money, have made OGX Petróleo e Gás, his largest holding, into Brazil’s second-most-shorted stock. (Short sellers borrow shares and sell them, hoping to buy them back at lower prices.) On March 22, OSX Brasil, Batista’s shipbuilding and oil services company, plunged 17 percent, to a record-low 4.88 reais a share. OGX fell 9.2 percent. On his Twitter account, Batista wrote that investors betting against him based on “rumors and gossip” would be “caught with their pants down.” In five years, he tweeted, his projects would remake Brazil as a “mega-efficient” country. A person close to EBX, who asked not to be identified because the matter is private, says that Batista’s companies are not facing any short-term financing problems and have $6 billion to $7 billion in cash. Batista declined to comment.
Investors’ loss of faith in Batista comes as the general euphoria over Brazil’s prospects dims. After growing at a China-like pace of 7.5 percent in 2010, the country’s gross domestic product expanded 0.9 percent last year. Batista’s decline has dominated headlines in Brazil in part because of what he had come to represent. In an interview with Bloomberg News last year, he said, “Brazilians have always admired the American dream. What’s happening in Brazil is the Brazilian dream, and I happen to be the example.” He has more than 1.2 million Twitter followers and, in 2011, published a bestselling memoir.
The billionaire has often failed to live up to his own hype. Based on studies by geologists he’d hired away from Petrobras (PBR), Brazil’s state-controlled oil company, Batista predicted that OGX would pump 50,000 barrels a day by the end of 2012, ramping up to 730,000 a day by 2015. He said it was one of a group of “bonanza assets” worth as much as $1.5 trillion that would produce such high profit margins that they were “idiot-proof.” When OGX began pumping oil in January 2012, Batista bragged on Twitter that the two-year interval between discovery and production was a world record. The wells were far less bountiful than he’d hoped, however, and the company is now producing fewer than 17,000 barrels a day.
Batista, 56, started out selling insurance policies while still in college in Germany. Although he often speaks of being a self-made manâ€"he bought his first gold mine at 24â€"his father, Eliezer Batista, served as Brazil’s mining and energy minister and as president of Vale (VALE), the formerly government-owned mining giant. The younger Batista has acknowledged that his father’s reputation helped him secure his first loans. In recent years, Batista’s startups have benefited from the largesse of Brazil’s state development bank, which has lent more than $5 billion to his companies since 2007.
Does Wheatgrass Turn Gray Hair
Back to Its Natural Color?
Dear Reader,
Gray hair: The ultimate telltale sign of aging.  Approximately half of all 50-year-olds are at least 50% gray.  Try as you may to postpone the inevitable with expensive, foul-smelling and messy dyes, the battle against gray is predictable... gray is pretty much the undefeated champion.  Or is it?
     Regular consumption of the young grass of a common wheat plant can recolor those grays so that you can enjoy your lush, natural color well into your senior years.  And it doesn't just stop at the gray.  This young cereal grass slows down the entire aging process by rejuvenating your cells, detoxifying your body, fighting tumors and tightening loose and sagging skin.
Gray Isn't Just a Sign of Age
The age-old healing system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) links hair pigmentation to the quality of your blood and the strength of your kidneys.  According to TCM, gray doesn't mean old as much as it points to weak kidneys and blood.
     Made up of 70% chlorophyll, wheatgrass, from the wheat plant triticum aestivum, restores the health of your kidneys and blood.
     Chlorophyll helps to strengthen, build and oxygenate the blood.  It is remarkably similar to hemoglobin, a compound that carries oxygen to the blood.  Once consumed, chlorophyll is transformed into blood.  It then transports nutrients, such as oxygen, to your cells, tissues and organs, rejuvenating, protecting and strengthening.
     Renowned nutritionist, Dr. Bernard Jenson, discovered that wheatgrass and other green juices high in chlorophyll are nature's best blood builders.  In his book Health Magic Through Chlorophyll From Living Plant Life, he cites several cases in which he was able to boost red blood cell count in a matter of days simply by having patients soak in a chlorophyll-water bath.  Consuming wheatgrass and other green juices regularly has been proven to boost red blood cell count even more rapidly.
Beyond Beautification and into Total Body Health
Wheatgrass is made up of an impressive array of nutrients that reinforce and rejuvenate everything from our cells and tissues to our organs and bodily systems.  In addition to its 70% chlorophyll makeup, wheatgrass contains 17 essential amino acids, 90 minerals, 13 vitamins and 80 enzymes.  Prominent research scientist Dr. Earp-Thomas says that,"15 pounds of wheatgrass is the equivalent of 350 pounds of carrots, lettuce, celery and so forth."
     Wheatgrass delivers an impenetrable line of defense against disease.  An all-natural and powerful detoxifier, wheatgrass protects the liver and purifies the blood by neutralizing toxic substances such as cadmium, nicotine, strontium, mercury and polyvinyl chloride.
     Detoxifying is the first step.  From there, wheatgrass takes the offensive as a proven anti-cancer agent that stops tumors in their tracks.
     Fact: Cancer cells cannot develop in oxygen rich environments!
     Wheatgrass is an abundant source of liquid oxygen.  Boosting the production of red blood cells and increasing oxygen in the blood helps fight cancer cells because cancer cannot survive in such alkaline rich environments.
     A recent study published in the journal Mutation Research pitted chlorophyll against beta-carotene and vitamins A, C and E. Chlorophyll had a greater anti-cancer effect than all the other nutrients.  Wheatgrass truly is total body nutrition in one gulp!
Why Has This Proven Anti-Aging Cure Been Hushed Up?
Practically every week, new alternative health breakthroughs are discovered.  Most of these anti-aging and longevity cures are already scientifically proven to heal a wide variety of diseases... eliminate pain... slow down or reverse the aging process... and enhance total body wellness.  Yet, these powerful health alternativesâ€"most of which are inexpensive or freeâ€"are unknown to most people because mainstream media rarely reports them.  To the contrary, these powerful health solutions are systematically suppressed and even banned.
     The reason for this is simple: these inexpensive natural treatments threaten the profits of mainstream medicine and the pharmaceutical industry.  Imagine what would happen to the earnings of Big Pharma and the medical industry if people had the information they needed to heal themselves of virtually any disease or health problem?  Everyone would be able to optimize his or her own health and well-being... and no one would ever need medical treatment againâ€"except for emergencies and natural disasters.
     Click here to discover the cutting age, unconventional, top-secret cures for health problems ranging from A to Zâ€"virtually every ailment in existence!  You'll discover the No. 1 anti-aging food, and the North American fruit tree extract proven in a National Cancer Institute-funded experiment to be a million times more powerful than chemotherapy, with no harmful side effects.
     Gain access to hundreds of other scientifically validated natural cures for life-threatening diseases, including the diabetes remedy with a 100% success rate... the non-drug arthritis cure that reverses the breakdown of cartilage... the mind technology that causes spontaneous remission from disease... and more.  Discover the single best source of "underground" health breakthroughs that most people will never know.
Wishing you the best of health,
Money doesn't grow on trees. Or does it? As a publicity stunt, RaboDirect of Australia sponsored a stunt where a tree in a park in Sydney is festooned with real $5 bills:
An Overview of Responses:
Lost Opportunity
In the early stages, almost 100 people passed the tree without noticing that anything was different. Even when a group of joggers noticed, they were too busy to stop. The first groups who eventually stopped to interact couldn’t believe it. They inspected the notes and took pictures, but left empty handed.
Follow the Crowd
Only once one brave participant started taking the money, did momentum gather. Legitimised by the crowd, a wide spectrum of behaviour ensued.
Frugality
Some took just one or two notes, satisfied by their modest and unexpected gains.
Opportunist
Consumed by the fantasy, a group of braver participants made the most of the opportunity by filling their pockets.
Employing Tools and Working Together
When the low hanging $5 notes were depleted, participants employed tools such as swinging coats and umbrellas, to help them reach higher branches. Teamwork also came into play as spectators formed human pyramids to reach the notes seemingly out of reach.
Altruism
Perhaps the most comforting observation from the participants was that of altruism. Taller participants shared their earnings with shorter spectators, while one gentleman on identifying the undercover observation team, requested his money be donated to charity.
James Cameron On 'Avatar 2': 'It's Building There'
James Cameron talks "Avatar 2" progress.
So much has been made in recent months about tentative 2015 releases "Star Wars: Episode VII," "Justice League" and "Marvel's The Avengers 2" that it's easy to forget there might be a sequel to "Avatar" coming in that year as well.
Speaking to reporters at the New Zealand premiere of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" in November of 2012, director James Cameron said the goal was to shoot "Avatar 2" sometime in 2013; Cameron previously stated that he had hoped to get "Avatar 2" in theaters by 2015 or later.
"I'm deep into it and I'm living in Pandora right now," Cameron told Play Goes Strong in a new interview. "There is that start up torque where you feel it's coming to you. Then you build up momentum. That's when it gets fun. The characters talk and it's writing itself. I'm almost there right now. It's building fast."
That's good news for those anxious to see another "Avatar" film; the 2009 blockbuster grossed over $2.7 billion worldwide, making it the highest grossing movie of all-time. For his part, Cameron has remained focused on the world of Pandora for the last four years.
"Last year, I basically completely disbanded my production company's development arm," Cameron told the New York Times in May of last year. "So I’m not interested in developing anything. I'm in the 'Avatar' business. Period. That's it. I'm making 'Avatar 2,' 'Avatar 3,' maybe 'Avatar 4,' and I'm not going to produce other people’s movies for them. I'm not interested in taking scripts."
That may be, but Cameron did acquire the rights to Taylor Stevens' "The Informationist" late last year. According to THR, Cameron could direct the film after he's done living in Pandora, which means it probably won't happen within the next five or more years.
USA and Canada / Re: Satan Looks Like OBAMA
March 20, 2013, 08:18:23 PM
A major hit already, History's 10-part miniseries The Bible is stirring up extra attention for its casting. The role of Satan -- the bad guy -- is played by the actor Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, who, thanks to makeup and other production tricks, bears a startling resemblance to President Barack Obama.
The resemblance was pointed out on Twitter while the show was airing Sunday. Glenn Beck, the Christian conservative broadcaster who has called the miniseries "one of the most important shows in decades," sent out a tweet with a screenshot. Beck, who refuses to use Obama's name, referred to the president as "That Guy."
Ouazanni has featured in several religious-themed programs before, including the TV movies David (1997), Jeremiah (1998, with Patrick Dempsey in the starring role), In the Beginning and the Emmy-nominated The Ten Commandments (2006).
The Bible executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey fired back Monday. “This is utter nonsense," the married couple said Monday in a joint statement with History. "The actor who played Satan, Mehdi Ouzaani (sic), is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor. He has previously played parts in several biblical epics -- including Satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our president."
Burnett has given to Democratic candidates, including Obama in 2008 and the DNC in 2009, though he also produces Donald Trump's The Celebrity Apprentice and was behind Sarah Palin's first reality effort. Downey, while not publicly identifying with a party, is a devout Catholic who has spoken in public about her faith quite often. She starred in the 1994-2003 CBS series Touched by an Angel, and through LightWorkers Media, a religious production company behind The Bible, she produced the children's animated program Little Angels.
In the lead-up to The Bible's debut, Burnett and Downey went on a tour of several megachurches, including those of Joel Osteen and Rick Warren (who once gave the invocation at Obama's first inauguration but has since decried his policies). Burnett and Downey have also appeared on Beck's show. In addition, the pair penned an editorial for the Wall Street Journal calling for bible education in public schools.
In the same release, the History said: “History channel has the highest respect for President Obama. The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection. History’s The Bible is meant to enlighten people on its rich stories and deep history.”
'The Bible': Satan Actor Looks Like Obama In History Channel Miniseries
Posted: 03/18/2013 10:43 am EDT  |  Updated: 03/18/2013 10:02 pm EDT
"The Bible" has been an incredibly successful miniseries for the History channel, so it's no wonder viewers took to the internet after noticing that the actor cast in the role of Satan looks quite a bit like President Barack Obama.
Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni plays the role of the fallen angel. A number of Twitter users noticed the similarity between Ouazanni and Obama on Sunday. Among them was Glenn Beck, who first tweeted that the series was "one of the most important shows in decades," then posted a screenshot of Ouazanni and asked if others thought he looked like "That Guy," Beck's preferred term for Obama.
Ouazzani has starred in multiple faith-based films, including "The Ten Commandments," "The Satanic Angels," "Jeremiah" and "David."
UPDATE: The History channel and executive producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey have responded to news reports picking up on the similarity between the actor and Obama.
“History channel has the highest respect for President Obama," a statement from the History channel read. "The series was produced with an international and diverse cast of respected actors. It's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection. History's 'The Bible' is meant to enlighten people on its rich stories and deep history."
“This is utter nonsense," Burnett said. "The actor who played Satan, Mehdi Ouzaani, is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor. He has previously played parts in several Biblical epics -- including Satanic characters long before Barack Obama was elected as our President.”
"Both Mark and I have nothing but respect and love our President, who is a fellow Christian," Downey added. "False statements such as these are just designed as a foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of The Bible.”
The original story continues below.
As The Hollywood Reporter notes, "The Bible" comes to viewers from acclaimed reality-TV producer Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey. Burnett has donated to Democratic causes in the past (though he also produces Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice" and worked on "Sarah Palin's Alaska." Downey is known as being highly religious and also producers "Little Angels," a Christian show for children.
"The Bible" has come under fire for other reasons, as well. A number of Biblical scholars have noticed that the show seems to be "Europeanizing" characters in the story. In particular, it seems as though characters with positive roles are being cast as white, while roles of characters engaging in evil are more likely to be filled by actors with darker skin.
Writing on HuffPost, Rev. Wil Gafney, Ph.D. had this to say on race in "The Bible":
Mark Burnett and Roma Downey replaced the life-giving red-brown soil of Fertile Crescent with sandy white soil which would not sustain life so they could show God creating a white man in God's image. That man, like the bulk of the cast, is white like them, like their target audience, unlike the Afro-Asiatic Israelites.
When they do cast a black actor it is to reinscribe some of the most base racialized stereotypes in the Americas: the big black man/dingo with a taste for white women.
Gafney is referring to Samson in the last line of the above critique. For more on the Obama look-alike, head over to The Hollywood Reporter.
Beyond the BRIC: Are the Philippines the Next Frontier?
by Ari Charney
3/18/2013
Over the past year, I've interviewed several portfolio managers who helm some of the top-performing international and emerging market funds. And when the conversation eventually diverges from the usual BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) names, one of the more intriguing countries on their radar is the Philippines.
A big part of the growth story for this island nation of nearly 100 million people is the extensive diaspora of Filipinos working overseas. Despite having the highest unemployment rate (recently 7.1 percent) among its peers in the Pacific Rim, the Philippine economy grew at a torrid 6.8 percent last year, thanks in part to significant remittances from the country's expatriates. In fact, the money that Filipinos send back home, which amounted to USD1.7 billion in January, accounts for about 10 percent of Philippine gross domestic product (GDP).
With consumer spending contributing as much as 75 percent of GDP, remittances are a key component of the country's consumer-driven economy. Even with the peso still trading near five-year highs (recently at 40.62 pesos to the dollar), remittances may be growing at a fast enough rate to offset any decline in exports, which dropped 2.7 percent in January from a year ago. By contrast, January remittances were up 8 percent year over year, the third fastest rate in the past 12 months.
The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEI) is up 27.5 percent over the trailing year, and the index has gained 17.6 percent annually over the past three years. Even with such heady gains, there are likely still opportunities for aggressive investors interested in this frontier market.
With that in mind, I screened for the top-performing mutual funds focused on international and emerging markets, narrowing the results to funds that specialize in the Asia-Pacific region or small- and mid-cap stocks. With regard to the latter, the average market cap of the stocks held in the iShares MSCI Philippines ETF (NYSE: EPHE) is USD5.7 billion.
I looked for mutual funds that beat the MSCI EAFE and the MSCI Pacific indexes over the trailing one-year, three-year, five-year and 10-year time periods. I also limited my search to funds whose management teams have been at the helm for at least five years. Of course, these criteria exclude a number of emerging market funds that were launched in the past five to eight years to capitalize on the outperformance of these markets, so it may be worth searching these newer funds for ideas in the future.
Among the dozen or so funds that fulfilled my criteria, the following six funds had at least one or more holdings domiciled in the Philippines. Since data for portfolio holdings is reported on a lag, I've also included the data cut-off for each portfolio in parentheses, so you can take that into consideration:
Artisan International Small Cap (ARTJX) (12/31/12)
Fidelity Pacific Basin (FPBFX) (1/31/13)
Invesco Asia Pacific Growth (ASIAX) (12/31/12)
MFS International New Discovery (MIDAX) (1/31/13)
T. Rowe Price International Discovery (PRIDX) (12/31/12)
Wasatch International Growth (WAIGX) (12/31/12)
All the funds are open to new investors, except for ARTJX. Four are no-load funds, while ASIAX and MIDAX have sales charges of 5.5 percent and 5.75 percent, respectively.
Aside from ASIAX, which holds seven names domiciled in the Philippines among its 41 holdings, most of these funds are generalists, so their exposure to the country is limited to just one or two names.
The only stock held in common across more than one portfolio is the holding company Alliance Global Group (Philippines: AGI), whose businesses operate in the food and beverage industries as well as real estate development. However, the two funds that hold this stock, ARTJX and FPBFX, moderately pared their investments, which suggests the stock may not be the best investment for new money.
Better bets could include the following three stocks, which were either new positions or stocks whose holdings were boosted significantly:
Megaworld Corp (Philippines: MEG)
Globe Telecom (Philippines: GLO)
International Container Terminal Services (Philippines: ICT)
Megaworld Corp is a real estate developer that specializes in an array of projects from hotels to condominiums. The stock was added as a new position to the portfolio of ARTJX in the fourth quarter, with a 1.3 percent weighting. Megaworld's shares are already up more than 29 percent year to date, though they've dropped about 8.2 percent over the past week.
PRIDX first bought shares of Globe Telecom during the third quarter of last year, subsequently boosting its position 74.6 percent, which brings its allocation to 0.4 percent of assets. The fund has over 200 holdings, so many of its positions account for less than 1 percent of assets. Shares of the wireless provider have gained just 5.5 percent over the past year.
The portfolio manager who runs WAIGX initiated the fund's position in International Container Terminal Services during the fourth quarter of 2010. In the most recent quarter, he increased the portfolio's holdings in the stock by 36.2 percent, to 1.5 percent of assets. The cargo handler and port operator's stock has risen 17.6 percent year to date, though shares are off 3.3 percent over the past week.
If you're leery of wading into the Philippine stock market or holding individual names, you can always invest in the aforementioned iShares MSCI Philippines ETF. The exchange-traded fund (ETF) actually outperformed the Philippine stock market last year, gaining almost 48 percent vs. nearly 33 percent for the PSEI.
However, it should be noted that its highly concentrated portfolio holds about 60 percent of assets in just 10 stocks. The ETF charges a reasonable 0.61 percent annual expense ratio.
11 Things That The Obama Administration Is Doing To Promote More Illegal Immigration
By Michael Snyder (The American Dream | Original Link)
March 12, 2013
Why does it seem like Barack Obama has been doing everything that he can to sabotage our border security and promote more illegal immigration?  The number one responsibility of the president of the United States is to defend our nation, and yet Obama stubbornly refuses to secure our borders.  In fact, he has been doing quite a bit to make it even easier for millions more drug runners, gang members and welfare parasites to enter our country illegally.  This is utter insanity.  Today, the U.S. government makes it exceedingly difficult for law-abiding people to enter this country legally through the “front door”, but meanwhile we leave the “back door” completely wide open.  What sense does that make?  And now Obama is using the sequester cuts as an excuse to totally gut our border security.  60,000 border agents are going to be forced to take mandatory furloughs and thousands of illegal immigrants are being released from federal detention facilities due to “budget constraints”.  Yet Michelle Obama still has enough taxpayer money to have Adele and Beyoncecome out and sing for her 50th birthday celebration, and the Obamas continue to take extravagant vacations that cost U.S. taxpayers millions of dollars.  And most Americans don’t even realize that the U.S. government will still spend more money in 2013 than it did in 2012 even after the sequester cuts are factored in.  So the government still has plenty of money to do everything that it needs to do.  Obama is just using the sequester cuts as an excuse to gut the programs that he does not like, and that includes border security and immigration enforcement.
The sad truth is that Barack Obama never cared about protecting our borders or enforcing our immigration laws.  In fact, he has done basically everything that he can within the constraints of the law to make things even easier for illegal immigrants.
The following are 11 things that the Obama administration is doing to promote more illegal immigration…
#1 The Obama administration is using the sequester cuts as an excuse to cut border security to the bone.  CNN is reporting that 60,000 border agents will soon be facing mandatory furloughs…
The U.S. government on Thursday notified 60,000 federal workers responsible for securing borders and facilitating trade that they will face furloughs due to government-wide spending cuts.
Customs and Border Protection said it expects furloughs and other austerity will cause delays at ports of entry, including international arrivals at airports, and reduce the number of border patrol officers on duty at any one time.
#2 The Department of Homeland Security says that it will release approximately 10,000 illegal immigrants that are currently being held in detention centers around the nation.  The Obama administration says that there is not enough money to hold them any longer.  The following is from a recent Fox News article…
The Department of Homeland Security has started releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants held in local jails in anticipation of automatic budget cuts, in a move one Arizona sheriff called politically motivated â€" and dangerous.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said Tuesday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement released more than 500 detainees in his county alone over the weekend. A spokesman for Babeu told FoxNews.com that ICE officials have said they plan to release a total of nearly 10,000 illegal immigrants.
If you are outraged by this, you are not alone.  In fact, the official at the Department of Homeland Security that was in charge of immigration enforcement and removal operations actually resigned because of all this.
#3 The head of the Department of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, has implemented a case-by-case review of all deportation cases involving illegal immigrants.  Cases involving those that have committed crimes will be prioritized and almost all the rest will be thrown out.  In essence, this is a form of “backdoor amnesty” that the Obama administration has put into place without going through Congress.  I discussed the details of this “backdoor amnesty” in a previous article…
Government officials have now been given a list of 19 factors to use when deciding whether to use “prosecutorial discretion” in deportation cases.
Essentially, what is going to happen now is that illegal immigrants are going to get to stay in the United States if any of the following apply….
-arrival in the U.S. as a young child
-actively “pursuing an education”
-serving or served in the U.S. military
-spouse of someone in the U.S. military
-18 years old or younger
-”elderly”
-pregnant or nursing
-victim of a “serious crime”
-serious disability or health problem
-caring for a family member with a serious disability or health problem
As you can see, these categories are so broad that almost all illegal immigrants will be able to fit into at least one of them.
#4 The Obama administration wants immigrants to know that just because they are getting food stamps that does not mean that it will hurt their chances of becoming United States citizens.  The following is from a recent Daily Caller article…
The United States Department of Agriculture has been working to dispel immigrants’ concerns that getting on Food Stamps will harm their chances of becoming U.S. citizens.
The USDA addresses those fears in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamp, brochures it distributes to Mexican consulates as part of its “partnership” with the Mexican government “to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance.”
In one portion of the brochure, USDA’s text asks, “If I get on SNAP benefits, will I be a ‘public charge?’” The brochure then answers: “No. You and your family can apply for and receive SNAP benefits without hurting your chance of becoming U.S. citizens.”
#5 The federal government actually has a website that teaches immigrants how to sign up for welfare programs once they arrive in the United States.  On WelcomeToUSA.gov, immigrants are encouraged to sign up for all of the “government benefits” that they are eligible for.  Here is an excerpt from that page…
Depending on your immigration status, length of time in the United States, and income, you may be eligible for some federal benefit programs. Government assistance programs can be critically important to the well-being of some immigrants and their families. Frequently, however, there is a lack of information about how to access such benefits. Benefit programs can be complicated and you may be given misleading information about how they operate.
Sadly, once immigrants get on welfare they tend to stay on it for a very long time.  For example, one study found that 43 percent of all immigrants that have been in the United States for at least 20 years are still on welfare.
#6 Barack Obama sees the upcoming “immigration reform” bill being pushed through Congress as an opportunity to grant amnesty to millions upon millions of immigrants that have come into the United States illegally…
“‘A bad sequel’ is how American Legion National Commander James E. Koutz described President Obama’s proposal to grant amnesty to people who are in the United States illegally,” according to an American Legion press release from Jan. 30.
“Whether it’s called ‘Pathway to Citizenship’ or some other euphemism, it’s still amnesty,” said Koutz. “It didn’t work when President Reagan signed the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and it will be even more disastrous if we repeat that mistake again.”
Koutz added that those who came to the United States illegally should not receive the special title of “American citizen.”
#7 An increasing number of U.S. states are now allowing illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses.  This is being done with the blessing of the Obama administration.
#8 Since entering the White House, Barack Obama has steadfastly refused to go after “sanctuary cities” even though there is a federal law that requires him to do so.
#9 Obama has not been afraid to appoint women with links to pro-illegal immigration organizations to very high positions in his administration…
After assuming office, President Obama appointed Congresswoman Hilda Solis as Labor Secretary and Celia Munoz as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. Both of these women have strong pro-amnesty histories with affiliations with groups such as the National Council of La Raza (The Race).
#10 Recently, the Obama administration announced the very first “unmanned” border station along the Texas-Mexico border…
Get ready for the very first “unmanned” border station on the U.S.-Mexico border. Slated to open at the end of this month, the Big Bend National Park in Texas will be staffed by, you guessed it, computers.
If nobody is manning those stations, who will stop illegal immigrants from coming across?
#11 Not only has the Obama administration refused to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws, they have also sued individual states such as Arizona that have tried to crack down on illegal immigration.
Are you starting to get the picture?
Meanwhile, it looks like illegal immigration is on the increase again in many areas.  For example, La Joya Police Chief Julian Gutierrez recently said that he is “seeing more people coming across and in bigger groups.”
And of course it is ridiculously easy to get across the border if you know where to do it.
Recently, Alex Jones went down to the Texas border and shot quite a bit of footage of illegal immigrants crossing the border without any problem whatsoever.
Today, far more people move into the United States illegally than come in through the legal immigration process.
Our immigration enforcement is a complete and total joke.  Illegal immigrants know that if they do happen to get picked up, they will just get sent back over the border where they can just try again.
And now we are even releasing many of the illegal immigrants that we have captured inside the United States itself due to “budget cuts”.  The Department of Homeland Security insists that they still plan to deport all of them, but once they release them they will have a heck of a time trying to find them again.
And Barack Obama has shown time and time again that he will use the legal immigration process to benefit certain groups that he wants to favor while using it to hurt groups that he does not like.
For example, Obama wants to deport a German homeschooling family that is seeking political asylum in the United States, but he authorized an 80,000 increase in immigration from Islamic nations in 2011.  Obama said that the increase from Islamic countries was “justified by humanitarian concerns or is otherwise in the national interest.”
Whether the college picks a younger pope or not, Benedict’s resignation in the face of ill health also was seen Monday as precedent-setting and important because modern medical technology is likely to make the occasion of a frail but alive pope more common than before.
“For the century to come, I think that none of Benedict’s successors will feel morally obliged to remain until their death,” Paris Cardinal Andre Vingt-Trois said.
According to news reports, two cardinals from Africa have emerged as top
contenders for the papacy:
Mga inilog
• Cardinal Francis Arinze. Born in Nigeria, Cardinal Arinze, 80, has been the bishop of Velletri-Segni, a cluster of Roman suburbs, since 2005 â€" when he succeeded Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, who became Benedict XVI.
• Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson. Born in Ghana, the 64-year-old cardinal is the archbishop of his native country and is a member of councils focused on evangelization, worship and Catholic education.
About 176 million people in Africa are Catholic, nearly one-third of all Christians across the continent, according to a December 2011 study by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.
Mga biya
British bookmakers offered odds on candidates to replace Benedict, with Cardinals Turkson and Arinze taking lead positions. Speculation turned to other likely contenders among the College of Cardinals, including:
• Cardinal Marc Ouellet. The head of the Vatican’s office for bishops was born in Quebec 68 years ago, and has been a cardinal since 2003.
• Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle. Born in the Philippines, he is the archbishop of Manila and 56 years old. He has been a cardinal since 2012.
• Cardinal Leonardo Sandri. Born in Buenos Aires, Cardinal Sandri, 69, heads the Vatican’s Asian churches department.
Despite the 6.5% stock market rally over the last three months, a handful of billionaires are quietly dumping their American stocks . . . and fast.
Warren Buffett, who has been a cheerleader for U.S. stocks for quite some time, is dumping shares at an alarming rate. He recently complained of “disappointing performance” in dyed-in-the-wool American companies like Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, and Kraft Foods.
In the latest filing for Buffett’s holding company Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett has been drastically reducing his exposure to stocks that depend on consumer purchasing habits. Berkshire sold roughly 19 million shares of Johnson & Johnson, and reduced his overall stake in “consumer product stocks” by 21%. Berkshire Hathaway also sold its entire stake in California-based computer parts supplier Intel.
With 70% of the U.S. economy dependent on consumer spending, Buffett’s apparent lack of faith in these companies’ future prospects is worrisome.
Unfortunately Buffett isn’t alone.
Fellow billionaire John Paulson, who made a fortune betting on the subprime mortgage meltdown, is clearing out of U.S. stocks too. During the second quarter of the year, Paulson’s hedge fund, Paulson & Co., dumped 14 million shares of JPMorgan Chase. The fund also dumped its entire position in discount retailer Family Dollar and consumer-goods maker Sara Lee.
Finally, billionaire George Soros recently sold nearly all of his bank stocks, including shares of JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs. Between the three banks, Soros sold more than a million shares.
So why are these billionaires dumping their shares of U.S. companies?
After all, the stock market is still in the midst of its historic rally. Real estate prices have finally leveled off, and for the first time in five years are actually rising in many locations. And the unemployment rate seems to have stabilized.
It’s very likely that these professional investors are aware of specific research that points toward a massive market correction, as much as 90%.
Well, well, well. Let us just wait and see what happens next. Anyway, I can go home to Bohol when the time comes.
Sa wa pay eleksyon ga sigi ko ug bagolbol, reklamo, nangampanya against barako obamo. I have foreseen what will happen kong ma reelect si barak. Karon nag sugod na ta ug ka thrilling. America's billionaires are already dumping their stocks. Ako wa koy e dump kay i dont hold blue chips. Duwa duwa lang ko ug penny stocks. Senentabos lang ta kotob kay wa man tay milyon nga pohonan.
Buffett just ditched millions of shares in familiar giants like Proctor and Gamble. Bill Gates just dumped 90 million shares of Microsoft. Why? They're scared. Obama's economic policies scare them.
Indiana Teen Hikes 10 Miles Through Ice Storm For Minimum-Wage Job
By Dan Fastenberg
The younger generation is often criticized for lacking the classic American work ethic. But Indiana teenager Jhaqueil Reagan has proven that the national rite of pulling oneself up by the bootstraps is not dead. Neither are happy endings. The 18-year-old hiked through an ice storm for 10 miles to interview for a minimum wage position with Dairy Queen Inc., and a local restaurateur was so impressed that he hired Reagan for double the state minimum wage, which would make his salary $14.50 an hour.
Reagan's dedication came to light Friday while he was trudging through a winter storm outside Indianapolis for the Dairy Queen job. On the way, he asked a man for directions. The man turned out to be Art Bouvier, the owner of a local restaurant, Papa Roux Cajun Cooking. When Bouvier learned of Reagan's 10-mile journey, he asked the 18-year old, "How come you're not on the bus?" Reagan answered: "I can't afford the bus until I get a job," Bouvier told Indianapolis TV station Fox59
"That's the kind of story your parents used to tell, my parents used to tell, up both ways in the snow," he told Fox59. So Bouvier decided to follow up with Reagan. In a post on Facebook, Bouvier recounted how Reagan never asked for any money for the bus. He then decided to get in his car and follow Reagan, before finally catching up with him 15 minutes later. (Since being posted on Friday, Bouvier's post has gotten more than 15,000 "likes." Commenters have been effusive with their praise, with one, Charlie Bentz, saying: "this is what we need more of in this country.")
After picking up Reagan, Bouvier dropped the teen off at his interview. But before he let him go, Bouvier told him that whatever the Dairy Queen offers, he'd double it for him to start working with Papa Roux, according to conservative news site TheBlaze. After his interview, Reagan soon found out that the Dairy Queen decided to fill the position with another candidate. But Bouvier told Reagan that he'd have a job waiting for him at Papa Roux on Monday.
In speaking to the TV station, Reagan talked about how he needed the break. After his mother died two years ago, he was forced to stay at home to take care of his siblings. He was only able to earn a high school diploma through GED. Speaking Friday after hearing about his new job, Reagan said his "heart's racing ... I'm just too excited, just excited to start."
Growing prosperity is an ongoing process of sowing and reaping; giving and receiving. There is no better example than that of a farmer. If he wants to reap a harvest he has to sow seed. The measure he sows is the measure he’ll reap. The type of seed he sows is the type of harvest he’ll reap; sow corn, reap corn.
Give money â€" receive money.
Give love â€" receive love.
Give compassion â€" receive compassion.
Give encouragement â€" receive encouragement.
Give thanks â€" receive thanks.
Give loyalty â€" receive loyalty.
Give a lot â€" receive a lot.
Give a little â€" receive a little.
Give hatred â€" receive hatred.
Give discouragement â€" receive discouragement.
God tells us that if we ask for something and believe in our heart that we will have it…. We will have it!! You must have unwavering faith. Ask, BELIEVE, Receive.
"I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, “Go throw yourself in to the sea,” and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:21
Prosperity Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank you so much for all you have given me. I am so happy and grateful for the abundance I already have. You amaze me with your love, blessings and rewards we receive everyday without even asking or realizing what we are receiving.
Father, I give you my life and today surrender all my financial concerns to you. I already know that you have told me I do not need to worry or have fears about anything. You have already told us that you take care of everything and we just need to trust and have faith.
I completely trust that my finances and debts will be paid and I will have a constant flow of money in my life starting today.
I only think of the positive now never looking at the past. I believe that my prosperity is here and I thank you for it now. I also want to thank you for showing me how to handle my finances carefully and also for teaching me how my prosperity can be of help to your kingdom.
Father, thank you for all your great rewards! I will continue to work diligently and strive to do my best in all that I do.
Thank you God, Amen.
