Channel 10 news in Philippines had a wonderful local news coverage regarding Jacksons passing away.

Loren Logarta had asked him a question during his visit to Philippines during the late 90's and while he was inside of a maternity ward blessing newborn babies and small children as he said he loved children because they were little angles.

The song he told Logarta when she was a news woman that he would dedicate to the Philippines was his song "Heal the World".

I considered that to be very touching and he said he enjoyed visiting the Philippines people the people are so friendly.

Rest In Peace

CNN will not cover it, jan, if tsika lang.  yes, farrah died too earlier today.

I find that odd what you said in your earlier reply? I have been watching live coverage of CNN regarding Michael's passing away all evening.

Drinking is also a drug but it was legalized.

Drugs have been around for a long time whether they are made chemically or grown naturally.

Look at the days when the recipee for Coke use to include Cocain in it to make it more addicting.

That part of the recipe has been taken out of coke for some time.

We use to call coka "Coka Cola"

Maybe we can help curb somewhat the appetite of drug users but stop it comepletly is out of the question.

It's sort of like no end situation to get it it stopped all the way.

Aside from the schools here teaching what are they're goals isn't much better to be teaching the about the prevention aimed at no taking drugs.

The storm was considered a bagayo 1 when it passed through Bohol. It was also St. John the  baptist day yesterday so what perfect timing for a storm to flood out parts of Luzon.

I have a hunch we will be seeing more worst weather to come as southern parts of central america coast pacific side, has already experienced their first hurricane last weekend early into the season.

Samoke!!!

A Man is a Man is a Man!!!

I think this is considered as a non adulterating state South Carolina.

Now since the crime happened out od state and country maybe he can still be in hot water.

I watched his life speech last night. He did resign from being the Republican president of governors org.

The position was handed to a woman after S.C. governor resigned from the national organization.

This should be a time for his sons and his wife and him to do some healing. his wife is a beautiful woman and he was just acting like a typical male pig!!!

#307
I was talking with Governor's son today. he informed me that his parents left at 2pm today to prepare for their journey in Seattle!!!

I hope that they have a really good time in my home town state!!!

That is awfull, I really like Jingoy Estrada he is a funny person and enjoys being with people.

I am sorry to his this bad luck regarding the families misfortune.

Recently a Filipina coughed on my nose with-out covering her mouth and now I am also ubu and sore throat.

I wished that people who are sick would use common sense when they sick such as basic hygiene manners.

Today a Filipna woman used the public CR and deposited both urine and feces into the bowl and no she did not wash her hands after that! Come on people stop being so lazy!!!

Take care of yourselves so you do not affect others in a bad way. I often notice this kind of things happening here that after people use the restroom they do not wash up properly.

In a media conference today with Population and health Dr's a survey was done on 20 of the most popular manning companies who are in charge of hiring crews to work on ships as merchant marines.

It was a not a surprise knowing that a vast majority and seamen are taking on casual relationships when abroad with either same sex persons or members of the opposite sex.

Also studies were done with both seamen who were interviewed isolated from their wives and the wives of seamen were also interviewed.

The most common response by the wives is that they could accept the promiscuity of they're seaman husbands just so long as the roof and provisions were provided for the children and herself.

In Bohol 250 merchant marines were surveyed and of the 250 sailors 69 admitted to having outside casual relationships away from the home while being abroad.

Travel and Tours / Re: Zest Air Overshoots Runway
June 25, 2009, 09:54:57 PM
Accidents do happen it just seems these days no airline is too safe!

Last december for example my daughter and i had flown Cebu Pacific and just before leaving on the runway for take off the plane stopped suddenly and we were toowed back to the terminal where we waited on board nearly one hour as the airline mechanics fixxxed the control panel that malfunctioned just before take off!

When I had informed one of my radio media colleagues he contacted the press relations officer of that airline and denied any such thing had taken place.

I have flown Cebu Air since then and my flights have been fine since then.

This year the world has encountered many major airline accidents. It does not make me comfortable any further because I have almost myself been in a plane in where I was lucky that the control panel did not break down while in flight.

I wish though that they would of transferred us o another plane instead of making my flight more intense at the time in praying that the plane would not break down in flight!!!

Happy Flying Everyone!

thanks for posting this yes American children are smart and are fast at learning how to solve problems.

I seen this news coverage yesterday and his dad was crying with joy as he was so lucky that two search and rescue horseback riders were able to find him once he had managed to get himself into a clear area.

I am happy to see such a good news as this makes me proud to see American children setting the example for other children around the world that you should always pay attention to safety/survival training  shows because you never know when you will be in that type of a situation anywhere in the world when the things you have learned from those type programs will come in handy.

During last weeks Expats meeting I had discussed with my group of sweet foreigners about looking out for Trafficking and also handed them booklets on the subject.

The problem with the materials given by the USAID when advocating such a topic the materials are so outdated.

Bohol has many port of calls now I think around 9-10 and trafficking is not just happening via flight it is also happening via van hires and bus's going on board Ro-Ro ships (vessels).

The area with some of the saddest areas of traffickiing are on the East portions of Bohol mostly.

Bohol Latest News / Re: Tourism Code of Bohol
June 25, 2009, 09:28:22 PM
What are the accreditation qualifications and what is the training for such accreditation, and where will they be getting their accreditation?

Safety should be at the top of the list when it comes to accrediting these establishments.

It does not mean a sleeping guard is enough to protect. You drive around tagbilaran at any night you will see many guards snoring away at the post here.
#314
I know what that is,and if I did not I would think it was something pretty darn bad but no it is really good indeed.
#315
Sad story, so young. Maybe from the sounds of the girlfriend he was suicidal and maybe the friends were trying to stop him from doing what he may have been pre-meditating to do.

But maybe his friends were scared because they could be looked at in the wrong way when they were trying to prevent him from jumping.

Foul play could be another angle. But his friends are innocent until proven guilty.

Again sad story sad to read the news condolences to the family.

Depression is a rampant thing going on with more youths these past years.

Travel and Tours / Re: Accomodation, rates
June 24, 2009, 11:07:19 PM
The beach is always a nice place to stay at, but in Bohol Saturday night you can usually find a disco place to enjoy at.

Any other night would be a family rest night as it is not a Polynesian type place where you have fire dances and hula dances in hula skirts and drink chi chi's out of a coconut shell with colored umbrella's sticking out the top.

I can think of Alona kew and a couple other resorts hiring drivers for you but not they're own service.

the other thing to keep in mind is that insurance is not so good here so pick a driver who can show proof of insurance.

Some places you can even rent a motorbike.

Alona is fun because people from all over the world part there.

Travel and Tours / Re: Bohol: Alona Beach Tips
June 24, 2009, 10:58:07 PM
I have stayed at Bohol Divers, and never was bitten by any bugs. I enjoyed the pool untill I ended up doing a write up on three persons (Internationals) who had died in Panglao over the weekend and one of the ones who dies was a drowning in the Alona Diver's Pool and he was not even a guest.

It is not the first time i have heard about faulty diving equipment at Panglao because the second death of the three on the same weekend was a Japanese female diver was asphyxiated as her tanks did not contain any air. That is still an unsolved case.

#318
ha ha ha ha yes he is good one.
#319
I am okay if foreigners can invest in properties to build business here to create livelihood here for the people who are barely getting any food put on the table.

I do not agree with CONN ASS when it is for making her stay in her reign as president.

I just want to see her sail out with grace and a more safe election being done here in the Philippines.

Elections are not worth killing or being killed over, and democracy means having a right to your own opinion.

I would like to say good luck for any new wonderful happenings for a new coming election.

The horrible odor can be smelled coming around the corner to the gas station near to the Dao bus terminal.

It takes your breath away same like the CPG drainage system.

Philippine Business News / Re: ATM Scam na pud!
June 24, 2009, 10:13:33 PM
I remember in high school we had a philosophy with modern man class and we discussed what it would be like if we just had our ID and numbers embedded near to our wrist.

We discussed what purposes this could serve for it could be used for many purposes such as credit card, drivers license, and other things in life that we need to use ID and account numbers for.

It would be like some sort of a chip embedded and in order for it to be used you would scan your arm under a detector that could read it.

Is that we we are aiming for if this kind of thing keeps on happening?

This world is getting very spooky out there indeed.
#322
In Philippines to adopt someone it must be at least no further then a 4th degree relative to the one you are adopting. So Bohol must have a bloodline out for Pac-Man or a bloodsucker hook out for his clams!! ha ha ha ha!!!
#323
Bedo you have raised some good points. Unfortunantly i had come into the meeting late, but I did hear them say that there would be 8 thousand voter machines for Bohol to use.

It does not seem like much consideriing the amount of some of the barangay's does it?

I would be happy to forward your questions of concern to the comelec local office of Bohol and find out what i can for you in your concern.

Thanks Bedo.

When i had discovered this story recently I was amazed to see this type of low tide out as far as this was?

I know it has to do with the moon and gravity but I think it has global warming mixed with it to cause it go so low.

I had also noticed last weekend at Dumaluan Beach the low tide was also extremely low. To bad the clamming season is over along the West Coast.

A little secret about Seafood's. when purchasing the crustaceans to eat whether at a Market or a restaurant.

The best times of the year to purchase are months with the letter R in it as the months with-out R is usually when the meat is smaller or more hollow will be the shell due to spawning during this part of the year May, June, July and August. believe me a spawn er crustacean does not have a good flavor and is hard to get rid of the smell.

So be warned about the next bucket of clams you order!!! :D

Could This be a Global Warming Wonder?

The Washington and Oregon coasts are expecting the lowest tides of the year this week, exposing sea life and otherwise hidden tide pools. Tuesday morning and again Wednesday morning, the tide will drop to around minus 2 feet on the Oregon Coast, with the lowest valleys coming during the morning, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The walk to the first needle of Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach will be uncovered, said Suzanne Williams of the Cannon Beach Visitors Center.

Walks to Chapman Point and Bird Rock also are enhanced in the low tide, she said.

Tide pools around Haystack Rock are often loaded with anemones, chitons, crab, limpets, nudibranch, sea stars and urchins.

At Clastop Beach, the Peter Iredale, a ship that sank in 1906, stands out. The remains of the Bettie M, a tuna seiner that sank in 1976, are more visible where Jetty A meets Cape Disappoinment on the Washington side of the Columbia River.

Low tides are typical for this time of year because the moon is closer to the earth, so its gravitational pull stronger, according to the Seaside Aquarium in Oregon.

I few years back I was more interested in this topic during the same time the twin towers and the middle east war and all that was going on so was the nuclear preparation of the North Koreans, but everyone was to distracted to pay any real good close attention to it at the time.

Kim is with out razier then a COO COOO Clucker that has been eating his KIM CHEE a bit way to spicy!!!

I heard he doles out good cash to media who will write about him how it happened in a newspaper here in Bohol last weekend.

Just because someone is good in sports and dedicated does not mean he will make a good leader.

Manny Pacquiao quote in a cartoon editorial from The Bohol Standard newspaper last weekend......."Bohol is nice, My kids love Bohol, you know."

#328
Today during the Bohol Tri Media Association (BTMA) monthly meeting ALARMA held at JJ's Seafood's two representatives Attorneys spoke to the media about a more modern and newer style in how Philippine registered voters will be be made for the coming election and more.

The Attorneys said that instead of voting by paper ballot the votes will be entered into a computer.

This will help eliminate the voter fraud of vote buying that goes on here, and hopefully cut down on campaign and murders that are going on in this country.

Philippine residents who are registered voters who are living abroad will be able to vote by absentee ballots.

Further news to follow by other media members who would like to ad to this topic. The meeting for ALARMA was sponsored by IT College AMA learning Center for IT students.

My media colleague and i traveled to Danao and were given the best treatment and we also experienced the suize-slide.

Well anyways news like that is sad to hear happening anywhere.

Apil ako gusta ko ug travel pero sponsored nalang!!! :D

I think Alona bar and resort owners should be ordered to take a piss test before they can own such a business in where you are dealing with the safety of the public.

The police chief tourism inspector who had informed me of the earlier news is been relocated on his job. I think Alona needs to be investigated for skank like behaviors of bar owners and locals at or near to the beach.

Question?

What if it is the law who is the one who is having a sideline for hire to kill? For me it makes it hard to trust the authorities.

I have heard that many here would like to have the Philippines do again with the "Death Penalty".
#333
I agree no one deserves to die for theft especially that of almost 900 dollars. No one deserves to die for lower crimes less then murder but perons in my book as I have always said if pre meditated, or aggravated murder then I do say I for an eye.

Danao - Bohol / Re: Danao, a new Bohol Attraction
June 21, 2009, 11:55:12 PM
I am looking for any news regarding one foreign national who has reportedly died here In Bohol according to over seas newspapers.

The person (foreigner) was in an extreme adventure in some part of Bohol rumored to have a heart attack in the middle of his sporting event and passed away?

This news did not reach local media and anyone knowing anything about this please blog any information here.

It may be he was involved in a filming of some fear show here?

Would like to see if anyone can confirm such a rumor or not?
#337
I have always said "Nothing surprises me here anymore!"....LOL!!!
#338
 ;D

8AM Bohol Tri Media Association members will be heading out to a local resort spot to enjoy some fun in the sun!!!

Members are to bring their own provisions and bring their neatest personalities along to take a time out from stress of being in the media work.

Immediate Family of BTMA is also invited to uban sa media workers if they would like too.

I think games and laughs and good times will be out at the beach. The local BTMA is comprised of around 120 plus members.

The BTMA also holds monthly ALARMA meetings on whatever is the hot topic of the of the month to be known for others in Bohol.

BTMA also hold awarding of the best writers and broadcasters in the province every year.

I wish you all plenty of fun and a safe time this weekend.

Mexico attacked us with Pork Flu but we can combat that with raw ginger garlic and onions but of course the non cooked version.

A poll is taken in my local home town newspaper in the states and the most responses are that America should counter act and detonate this missile.

I hope not also!

#340
Thank you everyone for the well wishes, I have actually been on board radio since age 5 my natural father wasa DJ at the time and until now he is in management part of the radio station in the states where he works.

I am a very fair person and not nasty or mean on air. i am currently planning to go on board with some former Filipina women friends whom I use to do a once a week show with and it was popular and Lingaw here when we did the show here in Tagbilaran City

We are aiming for the show to be funny as talk shows tend to get boring always if you stick to the same format. The people in the world need to laugh at the lighter side of the life. =D

Raquel yes i miss you a lot hope your pregnancy is going well for you. Lorenze hope we can meet when you plan to visit to Bohol again!!! Take care TB friends.

Starting at 9AM Saturday (Today) untill around 6PM this evening Ahapi along with German Dr. Hill will give a free medical mission at the clinic located in Dauis.

The clinic is across from the Mormon Iglesia (Church) in Dauis.  :)
#342
The information has not yet been released to the media. as soon as we get it I will try my best to post if anyone was lucky enough to win it in Bohol from Bohol.
#343
Swakee is sea urchin and small fish capture it I am guessing this and the wives tail goes like this if you get pricked in the foot by one of is spores and it stays in your teil and it festers you had better urinate on it to fizz it out of your foot.....LOL!!!

Am I right?

Or its some sort of yucks i do not eat in a bottle seashells and bottled ginimose are way out of the question or should i say my bravery. ha ha ha ha!!
#344
May i plse make a kind suggestion but not in a way of hurtiing anyones feelings.

I think it is better to discuss this neat topic so foreigners may learn of this also.

This is a fantastic topic and i would be more than happy to throw a column in the local newspaper about it.

thanks =)
#345
I have been eating balut for over ten years and what is another term for swakee? ha ha ha ha!!!

Thanks for the first said congrats!!!

whooohooo!!!!   =D

Church should just stick to spiritual and soul and good moral and practicality role playing. Church should not decide on types of approved family planning methods which then makes it hard for women to get the appropriate hormone medications because in Philippines it is hard to find the right dosage of hormone pills as the church looks at it as if birth control versus saving a woman from uteran cancer and dammaged uteras if sh is experiencing to much over bleeding.

If she can not afford to have surgery she can take oral medication during mid life crisis known as provera to help keep her life balanced and health and cancer free.

Look at the death rate of women here? Why do so many women die here at such a young age?

It is because they are getting terminally ill by not balancing out their hormone levels after having kids.

Balanced hormone is important for a woman to live a long and healthy life.

Church is not helping too financially raise these babies either.

I can understand being against abortion. But just outside the church gates here are many hungry children.

Government and church should help with putting more into indignant families and persons.

#347
I had paid an entrance fee before to BBC and i was fine with the amount i had paid because I had ordered just enough.

The beach was a beautiful walk and the facilities there are very good and the staff is always very friendly.
#348
About 2 years ago you could ride a Pajero and do the chocolate hill tour loboc river tarsiers and hangdagan caves and that for a 4-6 pak.

I hope for that price it is a good conditioned vehicle certified driver and fully insured with documented proof of all of the above.

Private and tour group differences is the type of liability insurances they may carry or may not end up having the insurance at all.

last October 2008 some 70 persons assembled into JJ's Seafood's resort to take the KBP exam for National Broadcasters.

Among the 70 or so examinees included one very adorable white lady. This may be Bohol's first foreigner to take and pass the exam in Bohol who will receive her license from the National KBP federation president as she has passed her test and finished all the necessary requirements to have the license the National KBP office of the KBP exam President has called today announcing to the white lady that the license will arrive in 24 hours.

A specail Thamk You goes to Sir. Peter Dejarasco president of Chronicle/DYRD/KISS FM for the passing evaluation.

The exam consisted of 125 written multiple choice questions in both English and Tagalog and the second portion included a radio station evaluation.

If anyone would like to sponsor a a program for news in English for foreigners visiting and living here I would be happy as well as many other foreigners living and visiting here so that we will be able to understand what are the latest news events as well as what are the latest activities going on in Bohol.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!  ;D

For you green horns who do not speak the lingo the word "Horny"means "Malibuge" he he he he he!!!
#351
I just spoke with a Tagbilaran City councilor who often just holds his mouth shut to give way for others to aske questions are raise comments.

But with the issue of the business permits  when I had bring it up with him he just said "Maybe the mayor wants to control all the businesses here in the city?"

Nothing more was said.
#352
I have to agree with you. In my place a sand dune beach and the oceans rippling shores belong to the state parks.

The resorts facing onto the beach of a state park are not allowed to claim any part of the beach front as their own neither are they allowed to bulid extentions from their current resorts out onto the beach.

Maybe because the government owns mineral rights on most of the lands in some places in the states. So salt is found on the beach it is a mineral there fore it belongs to the state and the people.

#353
Julius are you hinting at Dumaluan by chance?
#354
Grazie until now his candle still burns and beside it is a cross and a potted tree right out front of the LTO.

The bus has since been moved from what I hear.
#355
I remember the 2006 election and it was my first year in the Bohol Media.
I was given the honor and privilege to cover the election as a Comelec media Witness.

When I was watching the Congressional votes being tabulated I had noticed Cesar Montano was doing good on the local Bohol level.

I agree totally with the positive support being given to Cezar. he is a nice person who loves Boholand does not want to see bad things happening in Bohol that will ruin it's reputation.

I wish all the candidates a happy and safe campaign and election and Good Luck to everyone!!!

#356
This week a monthly meeting was held with Bohol's foreigner group some interesting concerns arised despite the group not having a lead conversationalist.

The most tourism officails had been notifeid but no one wanted to reply to a text message or answer their cell phones when an invitation to help at the meeting was being asked.

Why is that since we have so many persons here who are public officails tied into tourism and foreigners here in Bohol but no one wants to put it into gear to talk to the friendly group?

Some concerns came from male members of the group regarding Filipina who go to the hotel with foreigner men they actually age 15 and under minor age then when the foreigner meets the family a relative will take them aside and say "Hey what are you doing with her she is just 15 years old?"

Since the beginning of the year no one knows what mayor wants and no one not even Filipino business owners are having businesses permits to operate a business. This has caused many foreigners to move out of Bohol and into provinces with friendlier and more reasonable city policies.

Some home owners and land owners have not received tax payment returns on their properties and a meeting was held last month between business owners and nothing seemed to get resolved from such a meeting.

Despite the things going on here the foreigners admit they they still enjoy living in Bohol. :)
#357
WOW!!!

Ben nice way of looking at it!!!

He has agreed to fight the champion of that boxing match from last weekend now that is not surprizing is it.

So he cut a trip short to kill two birds with one stone to accept his reward and check out the moves of his next opponent? ha ha ha!!!
#358
He was a summer employee and a fixxer as well so money is involved for sure. I had posted this earlier on the day that it had happened.
#359
I am home sick na!

Your pictures are fantastic and love the climbing very happily flowers nice work!!!

How are you doing these days
#360
Ha! ha! ha! Girlfreind when I get to your place I am going to make asperagus shake and then gobble every thing I see in your pictures from your A-B-C!!!

                 Beans!

                         Chickens!

Nice work and hard work as well Raqueal.
#361
I have seen pictures, posters, and other remnants of where the rally was heldand it did not appear much had gone on.

Never the same when election time comes around the hand will be out to accept monies for votes from the same persons awho are against con-ass.

I know so many want her ass-out of office and so many want here to stay in so I think it may be a 50/50 balance on whether she goes or stays.
#362
I just seen The Pacman watching a live fight in the states between Cotto and the Clot' he was sitting with his wife Jinke at ringside.

Must be nice to travel at your husbands side to go to America anytime you want when at the same time there are many good Philippine persons who are being denneid a chance to go see familily getting marreid, school purposes, work purposes and at the last minute a wife gets to tag along with her husband.

Oh yes' this couple also owns a house in America must be such a fine priveladge since foreigners are not allowed to buy properties in the Philippines. Ha ha ha ha!!!

I am honest about my feelings.

I do not hide them as I think about everyone as a whole.

I do not think boxxing should buy his way around for his wife to just ride along on his ticket anywhere he goes.

Think of it like this? Does a Filipino Seamans wife travel with him on his ship for his professional career???
#363
Does anyone have any suggestion or knowledge on how to prevent this from happening?

People also enjoy coming here for shark watching as well.

In some shores along popular swimming areas for tourist sharhs and dolphins where being kep far back by nets that were placed several meteres away from the beach to not allow persons to be attacked by sharks but unfortunantly the dolphind are getting caught up in theses nests as well.

The dolphin and sharks sometimes become stressed out if captured inside the net and end up tangled up attacked by stronger mammals and normally end up up dead.

Will Philippines need to do such measures to keep these beautiful mammals from getting out of the way?

What are solutions for going on here if anyone has any ideal please advise here.

#364
Ben,

Thanks for noting this to Boholanos. This would be the time for the people here to say thank you for the help by the Australians for helping to make a better Bohol.

Thins like this are always as if not appreciated or maybe just regarded as just another hand out from a country that is financaily better off then the Philippines.

I should start campaigning for a more appreciative attitude and also a positive one for people to start sharing with one another.

The whole world needs to chande for the better. If we can not do it on our own and help has been given the least we can do is express how we truly appreciate.
#365
The PACMAN not only leads the way n boxxing but he leads the way in remembering who he needs to show his appreciation too.

No matter how big your name and your fame it is imortant to always remember the people who encouraged and helped you along the way.

If not for that then those who were there for you are put into a feeling of shame for their good efforts.
#366
I thought you guys would love it!!!
#367
Um! Friends who said it should be 20 ways to say I love you?

Let's just keep the positive post going as long as we can make it!!!

May I add something kinky?

I like to nibble and lick and taste the toes of my mate!...slurp!!!

#368
What year is your patience up to Lorenzo???  he he he I will try and I will let you know when.

It could be fun when I start posting pictures sheesh I can not get the Langaw picture of my mind!!! =D
#369
Yes, Hofelina I will be there as I am the press officer of the group it is a lot of fun so far!!!
#370
Yes I did and Mike has showed me how to paste pictures in Tubag but I am a bone head when it comes to the  "IT" part of computers. (Honest<<<<not afraid to be honest!) he he he!

Thanks for the sweet comment Lorenzo.  =)

#371
Please note that this was taking place when Governor was out of the province.

He is the Chairman of the political party in where the mayor's had jumped ship from.

You are so right my friend the LTO can see the walls of Camp Dagohoy when your on the Enerio Rd front entrance.

My exact questions exactly since this incident had taken place around 7 Pm in the evening last night.

Camp Dagohoy is on three streets I can name two of them Espuelas extension and JA Clarin.

The PNP Camp is exactly one block length from the LTO

Sketchy Information

A cross a lighted candle and a pool of blood remain out in front of the LTO....

I do not have the complete details of an LTO employee who was a father of seven children who ended up shot to death last night in front of his place of work in Tagbilaran City Catugasan/Dampas boundary on the corner of Espuelas Extension and Enerio Rd.

Last night around early evening a bus was pulled over alongside the highway and the bus driver had fled the scene but when the employee of LTO office had driven the bus to the LTO an unknown at large suspect fired a fatal bullet into the neck of the LTO worker.

If anyone has details of this event please post them.

May we share many condolences to his family at this time of horrible loss.

Sorry to bring such sad news to the forum, but I think it is important that people should know what are the things happening here.

Please keep your comments nice, informative as well as respectful.

God Bless Everyone!

This particular case of swine flu is not as bad as denge fever according to some Drs here in Bohol such as Dr. Esterlita Lim who has helped plenty of recipients during medical missions held through out the island over the years.

She said the Denge is nway more serious then the Swine flu because the swine flu is more advanced on treatment medications.

Abapo is already been sponsoring good programs that have bennefite plenty of poor persons in this Island.

Abapo is also busy in tennis and in my eyes has a good sense about things in life pleasant person to be around.

Has a terrific sense of humor well in manners and in my way of thinking he makes a perfect example for being what it takes to be a public servant.

I am sure he will run an honest campaign and election.

I have never known this man to make or cause any problems during his past ten years as a capitol employee.

I have seen Abapo with Vice Governor Julias Herrera quit a bit this past few weeks.

from what i have heard these slave camps for women are considered very brutal because of how they are often treated by such things as physical abuse hard work, raped drugged up, basically bad conditions prison guards raping them and beating them lack of foods and water over worked, are work that is way over strenuous.

But I was watching Fox News coverage on this last night and according to their reports the girls are not going to stay in the camp directly they will be treated better as the American Government is already working on getting them out of the place where they are being held at.

It is also said that such cases as this can not be appealed in the system as the supremem court is the highest appeals court already.
This is awfull these women are trying to do a good thing to try and expose trafficking of women and make people aware of it and hopefully get it under control.

The woman trafficking is rampant in that country.

Lets just hope and pray for their safety and any other women in danger in this world.

Okay I have read all these replies but not one of you bothered to mention anything about the where abouts of the man who put her into this spot.

I was once offered to get back a child that i had taken care of and put into a private school where she earned second honors and provided well for her but during summer vacation she went home to her mother in Cebu marreid to a guy who is not a father of the girls that i had in my custody.

Her biological father is a policeman who is marreid to a woman he has given two children and he plays the feild and pries on whatever he can get as she lives with the two kids in a poplation about 45 minutes from the place where he works.

The mother of the girl after i had taken super good care of her asked me for 15thousand pesos and wanted me to pay that before her daughter could come back to me.

Instead I got so mad at her and reported her to the DSWD and i had been told storeis by the little girl that her step daddy sexxually abused her.

That mother was probably the worst mother I have witnessed in the Philippines, she has no real regards to her daughter from a man in whom she bugged to have sex with untill he gave into her hoping she would leave him  alone he was 23 years old and she was arounnd 15 years old at the time.

I am sure there are many cases similiar to the bus driver scene. I am fully aware of the Philipopines not taking away children from biological parents no matter how provershed they are.

No matter how much another couple who can not make babies can provide for a another child who would normally not be well off. The Philippines would not even consider it unless it is up to a fourth degree blood relative of the child.

Whats the background of this woman in Cebu?

Was she a prostitute? Is she homeless as in a streetchiuld most of her life?

The big intersection near to the regional 7 DSWD has many type of children begging and other persons begging from car to car as they wait at one of the longest lights in Cebu and no one is stopping them and the regional office is right there an arms length away.

Looy everything in this sittuation.

According to some long time dr's here in the province of Bohol they beleive that the Denge fever is far more dangerous then the swine flu virus.

The one sickness that still does not have much medicine involved for combatting it.

Two days ago it was media man Kit Bagaipo who was the one first contacted in the media to find out about the virus.

Kit was able to get things confirmed by the cebu D.O.H. as he was having a difficult time getting anyone to confirm the case here in Bohol.

Kit Bagaipo was the one who informed Vice Governer Herrera and got the ball of fire to appear for everyone to know about it.

A lot of credit goes to media man Kit Bagaipo for his concern and efforts to the local people living here and to the tourism here.

Kit was able to take the time and send me many text messages so that we in the media could get the warning out to as many persons as we could.

Thanks for reading.

Some say Gloria could declare Martail Law?

I think in Tagbilaran our lovely city government has already been practicing that with putting out so many businesses and theyre owners as well as not issueing permits what a true shame as jobs provide livllihood for employees and they're families.

Then instead of having presidency some say philippines could make Gloria into a Prime Minister instead of a president!

Or some even say that Philippines would run on a parliamant system in other words!

Tagbilaranos are already pre conditioned either way from the look and feel of things in the Capitol city.

In a radio station interveiw with Atoy Cosap over DYRD Radio the victima of the so called swine flu virus was angered by what she said is the fault of the media for blowing things out of porportion.

She was also angrily lamblasted Vice Governor Herrera for revealing her identity over the airways and for all his actions and orders to be followed by the citizens of Bohol in regards to her case.

The 33 year old female victim involved also added that the confirmation of D.O.H. both here and locally was not true and it was a mistake on their part.

Later today the family plans to release a statement to the media and the public.

This is going to be a sticky one to put into print for Sunday as all sides need to have a chance to be aired out.

This is what I call one of those write ups with many titles. sheesh!

Thank Goodness i have asked our Mike for help with this weekends write up.

;D

Mackey,

your so right, about your statement, but the intersting thing is that I have been noticing more Philippine persons losing touch with Catholicism and making choices of other faiths on their own.

Iam thinking in about 5 ore years the 90% could go down to even 75% unless the catholics can start making more practical changes and start helping out instead of doing what is the opposite.

I have a new saying; Why are catholics so against abortion but yet they just walk past kids with famine and starvation and homelessness in the streets?

#384
Ha ha ha you know the old saying it takes one to know one!

Howdy Benz!
#385
The reason why the family has backed out of the interveiw this evening is because according to Vice governor Julias Herrera he has spoken with the family and according to them she has agreed to be confined in isolation at a local hospital.
#386
I just received word from my media coleauge who was set up for the interveiw he had been awaiting this evening the victim apparently has backed out of any interveiw and will issue a statement sometime in the morning as reported by her family.

Stay tuned.

Influena A-H1 N1 I was told she was a migrant from Southern California.

The one telling me the news also treid to confirm it with other political figures and public servants but he felt due to theyre interest in making tourist dollars here it is why some where relutant to comment or felt it was better not to admit that there wasa case in Bohol.
Regardless with such a dangerous case as this and i would not say any virus that is considered as fatal is considered as mild in any circumstances as this is an airborne virus.
#388
I have beenn informing other persons about this latest happening. I think there will be a law that a foreigner man does not have to marry a Filipina to own property here and make business.

Stupidist law i ever seen since it is his money that pays for everything and makes her enjoy a better life in a good home and often making her a livlihood to support the family with.
Well folks for those who do not know there is a term we call conjugal properteis and one must read into it to get through the loop holes of it and how it really works and who really bennefits?

As we are discussing beaches here not proerty biasis is it not?

 :o  Alert!

the Swine flu scare has reached now into Tagbilaran City.

The Flu Virus that is sweeping through out the world has landed in Tagbilaran.

The victim is a 33 year old female minor who is in her first trimester of pregnancy.

The victim came from the Southern california region on or around the 23rd of May 2009.

She was seen and examined at local clinics and at the Borja Hospital but was later released.

Normally women in they're first trimester of pregnancy are not administered this strong of medications made for this virus.

Yesterday a local media mans freinds had brought to the attention of one family wearing masksin the local neigherhood and thought of it as being peculiar.

The media man informed actting governor Vice Governor Herrera of the suspicious persons wearing masks and DOHin Cebu confirmed that one known case was here in Bohol.

The woman victim was at large this morning but after Vice Governor Julias Herrera had made public awareness calls all the case to look for all flu cases in Bohol and to report the female victims right away to the health authorities.

The name of the victim was released  by Vice Governor Herrera over both radio stations in Tagbilaran City.
Even though it is against the DOH policies to give out private names of persons who are seriously infected whether they pose a public threat or not.

At present time the victim has had a meeting with her family and is underway with a live interveiw being given by one of the persons in the local media.

The family was also willing to get screened themselves for any possible signs of being infected themselves.
In hopes for a speedy and safe recovery for the victim and her family and for the community to be safely protected from such sicknesses.

I will try to update this as soon as I am able too.

The female victim was interveiwed over DYRD yesterday evening and has lamblasted both Vice Governor Herrera and the local media for what she is saying is all lies and mistakes from the governent and the D.O.H.

This also is another news item from the Bohol chronicle written by senior writer Kit Bagaipo.

I just posted it to inform the people on what are the things happening here.

Thank you and have a pleasant day.

;)

The news came out in last weds, Bohol chronicle and was written by Kit Bagaipo the senior writer for the publication.

At the time i had posted this topic Kit had not given me permission to put his name on the by-line. Yesterday i had informed him that i had postes a part of his write up and he has given me permission to say it is his write up.

I also informed our gate keeper last night over buko and soup that Kit would like to have his name be added to the by lines from now on.

I hope everyone is clear on what I am saying.

Thank you for the time.

Also underwater earthquakes, and global warmng play a big part into what is going on I am so surprized that we do not witness more red tides and seafood poisoning from this eventually.

Yea it is so sad about the dolphins here it is becoming so regular for them to be found dead captured and cut up.

I hope things get better for them in the near future.

Carmen Mayoy Manuel "Boy" Molina is facing complaint of the ombudsman for alleged fraud and violations of the code of conduct and ethical standards for public officails and employees.

The case against Molina stemmed from a complaint filed by an employee of Carmen Municipal Treasurers Office. accusing the mayor of collecting P300 in the renewal and issuance of business licenses as payment for socalled "Business Plates"

The newly imposed fee is not  covered by a municipal ordinance authorizing its coillection.

Asked to comment, Mayor Molina said all collections of the P300 for business plates were duly receipted but, since it was found out that the collection for business plates was not supported by an ordinance, the amount was refunded.

In her complaint affidavit submitted to the ombudsman, Raqueal Rejas, a revenue collector at the Carmen municipal treasurers Office, said Molina started imposing the P300 fee for business plates last January......

Mayor Dan Lim returned back to his duty as city Mayor on June 1st, and again and Vice MayorToto Veloso handled the job well as the accting mayor even though short lived as it was.

I hear Toto was surprized to read in May 31st issues of the local newspapers that Dan Lim was returning back to office the following Monday.

Leaving ones compfort zone is all about having a sense of liberty and feeling to get out and test other waters.

I think the more ones sticks to the same routine the more he becomes depressed ofthe same routine as nothing new will stimulate him if he does not get out to explore.

Who's Who of Bohol / Re: Who's Who in Tubagbohol
June 04, 2009, 03:47:58 AM
Lorenzo come back to Bohol they need talented medics to help fill in the Drs gap of so many Dr's per every so many thousands of people.

Please come back Philippine Philippine medical persons to help out your country and provide the best medical care that you learned while abroad and share with your own brothers and sisters here.

Maybe have a clinic open here half a year and another office open abroad for the second half of the year.

Something rude awaits foreign visitors on the shores of certain beaches here in Bohol when natives have started posting up home made signs along the beaches telling foreigners to keep away or else and other such messages of the same sort.

I was told this by a freind who often rides his bike for excersize along the highways and beaches and mountains of Bohol. He was so offended that his own people could post such mean things.

The beaches are not private they are all public where the signs are obviously home made.

I hope the authoriteis deal with these pollution mongers and deal with them properly if they can catch who whomever is doing it.
