Lust
ceases when self
is no longer served;
it's fickle,
insecure, unfaithful.

Love
never fails;
it's constant
and enduring.

Lust
backs out when it's
no longer convenient.

Love
always perseveres.

"You're so good,
I want you now"
isn't the same as
"You're so good,
I"m willing to wait."

Voda,

I am sure that the pain that you felt , your beloved has realized it now or has felt it come back at him. The pain of regret and longing is unparalleled compared to the pain that one feels when he thinks of 'what could have been'.

I do hope that there is closure between you and the man that has left such an impact on you.

Hehehe. I told my father and showed him the pictures of our meeting and Mr. Ferds, Mr. Rey Tirol and all of the members of the Puppies.
My auntie Beth, and my father both were happy to see the pictures and asked me about our conversations etc.
Ingon si dad nako, "It is like a reunion of the generations".

He referred to my lolo and your parents as the "1st generations", and referred to you and the puppies as the '2nd generations' and i the '3rd generation' hahaha!

Regards to your dad. Engineer Lungay. My dad knows him kono.

Father, This reminds me, I forgot to ask you a question when I was there in Bohol.

Is it true that the Tirol Family (Gov. Tirol etc) are the founders of University of Bohol?

Thanks.

I'm sorry Father. I only remember the one time my dad was talking about the time that my grandpa (Businessman Mr. Rustico A. Lucino) went to a party , and he mentioned that he was good friends with your dad, and the former Governor Tirol and former Governor Chatto & late Attorney Cagulada.
My dad mentioned an Engineer Lungay, i assume that is your dad. :)

May God bless your papa! My regards to Engineer Lungay....

This email contains strong anti-Chinese rhetoric. Not all Chinese are against the Filipinos, and many Chinese recognize the importance of the Filipinos in China (professional, technical, domestic work).

I think it is obvious that most Chinese know and recognize that the latest incident was caused by a discontent worker, not by the Government of the Philippines and not by the Filipino people in general.

The relationship between China (Zhong Guo) and Philippines goes back over a thousand years ago and our continued good relation as regional partners in commerce/trade, culture is essential for a fortuitous future.

As one who had a great-grandfather who was Chinese, I feel the close relationship between China and the Philippines. Chinese character and the Filipino character is highly intertwined, many so called Filipino people have within them Chinese blood.

A Commentary on Proverbs 15 & Psalm 34, in regards to the deceitful tongue, Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

Let young persons set out in life with learning the fear of the Lord, if they desire true comfort here, and eternal happiness hereafter. Those will be most happy who begin the soonest to serve so good a Master. All aim to be happy. Surely this must look further than the present world; for man's life on earth consists but of few days, and those full of trouble. What man is he that would see the good of that where all bliss is perfect? Alas! few have this good in their thoughts. That religion promises best which creates watchfulness over the heart and over the tongue. It is not enough not to do hurt, we must study to be useful, and to live to some purpose; we must seek peace and pursue it; be willing to deny ourselves a great deal for peace' sake. It is the constant practice of real believers, when in distress, to cry unto God, and it is their constant comfort that he hears them. The righteous are humbled for sin, and are low in their own eyes. Nothing is more needful to true godliness than a contrite heart, broken off from every self-confidence. In this soil every grace will flourish, and nothing can encourage such a one but the free, rich grace of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The righteous are taken under the special protection of the Lord, yet they have their share of crosses in this world, and there are those that hate them. Both from the mercy of Heaven, and the malice of hell, the afflictions of the righteous must be many. But whatever troubles befal them, shall not hurt their souls, for God keeps them from sinning in troubles. No man is desolate, but he whom God has forsaken.

If God is With Us, who can be against us?

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us allâ€"how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who diedâ€"more than that, who was raised to lifeâ€"is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: " For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Cast Your Cares and Trust In The Lord...

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

The Reward of A Saving Faith

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
For this we say to you by the WORD of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

Saints of God, come to his aid!
Come to meet him, angels of the Lord!
Receive his soul and present him to God the Most High.

May Christ, Who called you, take you to Himself;
may angels lead you to Abraham's side.
Receive his soul and present him to God the Most High.

Give him eternal rest, O Lord,
and may Your light shine upon him forever.
Receive his soul and present him to God the Most High.

Let us pray: We commend our brother, Andrew to you, Lord.
Now that he has passed from this life,
may he live on in Your presence.
In Your mercy and love, forgive whatever sins he
may have committed through human weakness.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

nag attend ug lubong sa akong uncle...it was sad pero happy cos i know he is with the Lord right now... one thing i like about, it was a family reunion to us kay ang mga relatives nga naa sa layo nanguli man so it was a family bonding for a week..

Jenneth, I am so sad to hear of your tito's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. The Lord is Merciful to those who pass on in friendship with Him.

History / Re: Military History Discussion Board

The operations in Vietnam resounded some of the errors that the McKinley Administration procured during the Philippine-American War (Philippine Insurrection, as it is called by some American Historians).

The way the military (U.S) operated and carried out battle-field tactics was deplorable. It is estimated that close to 1-2 million Filipinos perished in that war (military & civilian).

The war in the Philippines was a subject of debate within members of Congress and within the American people; it was an unpopular war. Because of it, there were increased differences between the American Pro-Imperialist League and the American Anti-Imperialist League. The heightened opposition to the American involvement in the Philippines resulted in McKinley's untimely demise, he was assassinated.

Love Talk / Re: To my Former Love,

Voda,

I guess that is the beauty / or curse of our hearts and our innate feelings. Isn't it amazing how even with the course of time, and the progression of our lives in our chosen directions, still we retain the memory of a former loved one.

For me, I will never forget her. How can I. I was crazy in love with her, as she was with me. There was a time, a moment in our lives that we were inseparable. Physically and emotionally.

I can only smile in remembrance.

Right reason, that is, reason rightly exercised, leads the mind to the Catholic faith, and plants it there, and teaches it in all its religious speculations to act under its guidance.

Song of Farewell - Old Hundredth

The paschal mystery of Christ and the hope of our own resurrection is central to Catholic belief.

Come to her aid, O Saints of God, Come meet her angels of the Lord. Receive her soul, O holy ones; Present her now to God Most High.
May Christ who called you, take you home And angels lead you to Abraham. Receive her soul, O holy ones; Present her now to God Most High.
Give her eternal rest, O Lord, May light unending shine on her.Receive her soul, O holy ones; Present her now to God Most High.
I know that my Redeemer lives, The last day I shall rise again.
Receive her soul, O holy ones; Present her now to God Most High

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Requiescat in pace. Amen.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her May she rest in peace. Amen
