Joe Gallagher talks John Murray split and Gym move

@britishboxers - BritishBoxers - It has been an emotional and testing few months for Manchester boxing coach Joe Gallagher - one of the most dedicated patrons of the British boxing scene. Gallagher as recently flitted from his old gym, which was based at Kerry Kayes' Betta Bodies in Denton.

Kayes recently asked Gallagher to leave his gym, because of a dispute over rent and use of his premises - stating that Gallagher wasnt involving him and his company brand CNP enough and felt pushed out by the trainer, who he says he let use his premises rent free.

When we sat down with Gallagher this week we asked him about the situation and his side of things - Gallagher isnt stuck for words in his honest assesment, as he tells his side of the story of the split with Kayes. Gymless Gallagher and his fighters were then contacted by Amir Khan, who offered them use of his 'Gloves' gym in Bolton, as it wasnt being used in the day.

Gallagher also talks about the breaking news that his long time pupil John Murray, who has been under his wing and teachings since he was a 14 year old school boy, had left him to train with Leeds trainer Michael Marsden and Kerry Kayes.

Murray had just sent Gallagher a text while we were there, to announce that he would be leaving him after 12 years together. In that time Murray claimed the English, British and European lightweight titles and was close to fighting for the world title.

Gallagher reads to us the text from Murray and reflects openly about the time and sacrafices he has made for him, sometimes neglecting his own personal life, in pursuit of boxing glory and feels upset at being treated that way after all his hard work and dedication to the John Murray cause. by Chris Maylett for www.britishboxers.co.uk

Filmed in Stirling in 2003, a chav-tastic Scottish woman answers HM The Queen back. The Queen states: "Did you pick that from you garden" (referring to the flower which a little girl gave her). The mother of the girl's reponse is "Ehhh ?!?" So much for British protocol.

Internet and World Wide Web / Pacquiao vs Marquez Replay: Venture Amateur Boxing Club Birkenhead

Venture Amateur Boxing Club Birkenhead

Venture Amateur Boxing Club Birkenhead

http://www.britishboxers.co.uk Inside Boxing
Like the mythical Phoenix, Birkenhead Venture ABC has risen from the ashes. Indeed, the club has been burnt down, burgled and permanently closed over the years. But now, thanks to the hard work and dedication of its original founders and commited coaching staff, it is back and doing better than ever.

In the first three and half seasons of its resurrection, the club picked up a multitude of national titles and established itself as the rising star amongst Merseyside's already vibrant boxing scene.

In just the first half season they racked up an impressive 18 out of 18 wins and in the first three seasons, had five national titles and a tri-nations gold medallist.

The Venture has taken on new trainers over the years including Danny Kelly and continue to go from strength to strength. Some nights the gym can get upto 100 kids coming in from the surrounding areas and estates. This old ship building town that has suffered deprivation and severe unemployment and a generation of children with the need to find a sanctuary, the Venture ABC has helped many do that over the years.

Currently they have the biggest numbers attending the gym, including 42 carded amateurs and two professional boxers, trained by a team of 10 ABA qualified coaches. Like any amateur club up and down the country the coaches and volunteers give their time and efforts to keep the club running by collecting subs and organising fund raising events but it is always a constant struggle to break even, such is the cost of keeping an active gym going and self sustainable.

The club was originally set up by Dennis Trodden and Herbie Harrison in 1978 and had instant success with several area champions and a Junior ABA winner in Robbie Girven.

But after a few years it fell on hard times. Random acts of vandalism and ever growing work commitments led the coaches to handing over the gym to a trainer named Tony Diponio, who renamed it the Cavendish Wirral.

A few years passed and once again the club found itself facing difficulties. Diponio took the decision to close the club and it seemed that another of the North West's respected boxing establishments was lost forever.

The building, situated on Brassey Street, fell into disrepair until Dennis and his son Sean Trodden decided to give the old place another go in 2008.

They acquired back what they described as a 'bombsite' but with donations from local businesses and the 'youth capital fund' they were able to get a new roof, central heating and get it to the fantastic standard it is now. They took over what was basically a derelict building and turned it into the success story it is today.

I went over to the gym recently to see what the guys had achieved and was greeted by the fantastic people at the gym, my friend Danny Kelly and the gym founders Dennis and his son and head coach Sean, and their boxing prospect Sean 'Masher' Dodd.

The gym which was closed for Dodd's final training session before his second pro fight, is a great recourse and the equipment and space in which they work is of a high standard and is a testament to the men who have worked hard to get it to such heights. The Phoenix truly has risen in Birkenhead and it's called the Venture Amateur Boxing Club.

In the video above I speak to coach Danny Kelly and founder Dennis Trodden about the history of the club, the fighters they have coming through and the future.

John Murray Interview as he prepares to face WBA world champion Brandon Rios

John Murray talks to BritishBoxers about his upcoming WBA world title challenge against champion Brandon Rios at Maddison Square Garden on December 3rd. Murray gets a this suprise crack at the world crown, despite losing his last fight against Kevin Mitchell in July. With it went Murrays unbeaten record and then in the aftermath he split from his coach Joe Gallagher. Mitchell was first offered the fight with Rios, but because of a pending court case, could not take the fight and so Murray stepped forward to cease his oppertunity. - In our exclusive interview with Murray, by Chris Maylett. The Manchester boxer talks about the fight and his determination to rip the title from Bam Bam Rios, one of the most exciting and big hitting fighters in the sport. Murray discusses  the split with Gallagher and there coming back together for this fights, including the loss to Kevin Mitchell, plus training real and more - In this fight John says he feels like Mr T in Rocky 3.. When Balboa was in training in the famous boxing film, getting ready to face Clubber Laing, played by Mr T.  He took his eye off the ball and enjoyed the showmanship of being champion, where as Mr T just knuckled down to his training, which Murray as done and the Mancunian Machine as he is sometimes refered to says he is in the best shape of his life for the biggest fight of his life. - Murray believes he has the beating of Rios and is preparing to shock the boxing world, proved his crtics wrong and capture a genuine world title against a dangerous highley rated champion.

@britishboxers - www.britishboxers.co.uk  were at the Vitali Klitschko vs Dereck Chisora fight in Munich Germany, but didnt expect to see Haye vs Chisora fight after the main event! - Chisora confronts Haye, who then appears to strike Chisora, the pair get into a brawl and fall to the floor. - Haye then gets into a fist fight Don Charles, Chisoras coach and they trade heavy blows. - Haye pickes up a camera tripod and launches it at Charles. The tripod strikes Hayes own coach Adam Booth, which likely caused the cut to his head. - Peace was eventually brought to this charade, which incidently was not a great advert for British Boxing. - But a fight between Haye and Chisora has suddenly become the one people will want to see, hopefully in the ring though. - Although Chisora promised to shoot Haye and burn him, settling their differences in the ring, will hopefully be the option they take. (sorry about the bad sound quality) - The full press conference was filmed and will be available soon.

British middleweight champion Martin Murray will face French middleweight champion Karim Achour at the Velodrome in Manchester on June 16.

Murray who is promoted by Hatton Boxing, staged a public workout at the Metquarter shopping centre in Liverpool this weekend to showcase his talents and to meet and greet his fans and posed for photographs with the hundreds who came to see him.

The St Helens man trains in Manchester with Oliver Harrison and is in a catchment area to attract both the Scouse and Manc fans and indeed any boxing fan who appreciates a good honest pro and tough competitor in their boxer of choice, wouldn't go far wrong in following Murray.

Murray will take on the aggressive come forward styled Ancour on the undercard of Hatton Promotions 'Road To Glory' bill which is topped by Scott Quigg and Rendall Munroe's battle for the vacant WBA interim world super-bantamweight title .

It will be Murray's first fight since he drew against WBA super champion Felix Sturm last year in a fight that many thought he had won. But a draw against a German champion in Germany could well be conceived as a win to a more discerning pallet!

Achour, 25, has won 13 of his 15 fights, and should provide Murray who is ranked in the top five by the WBA, WBC and WBO with a decent stand, but hopefully not too much and Martin you'd think can wear him down and stop him as the fight wears past the mid way point.

On an Saturday afternoon in Liverpool Martin went through a full repertoire of punching skills on the pads with his coach Harrison and then laced on the sparring gloves to go a few rounds with his longtime coach and personal friend.

It was a good day and Martin unexpectedly invited some young boxers into the ring to share a few rounds with him, including two time national female champion Laura 'Cyclone' Kelly, who had come along as a fan on the day, and got to share the ring with a British champion and world title challenger.

The afternoon was accompanied with a running commentary from Ricky Hatton and the former undisputed light-welterweight and welterweight world champion interviews Murray to get his views on training and his fight with Achour.

Martin and Ricky staying behind afterwards to let everybody who came have their picture taken with them down to the very last person, everybody were treated to a great spectacle and could meet their boxing hero's up close.

Murray is surely not far away from getting another shot at a world title after his performance over Sturm. Unfortunately a proposed fight with WBC champion Julio Ceaser Chavez Junior had to be scrapped when Murray was refused a visa to travel to the States. But Hatton believes if he keeps his charge busy, the chance will come again.

"Martin is being patient, but I am certain we will deliver another major fight later this year.

"In the meantime it is all about keeping him busy and winning against decent opposition.

"Since the Sturm fight a match against WBC champion Julio Cesar Chavez Junior fell through, but he got over that by getting straight back into the gym.

"Achour is a decent test for Martin in his first fight since Sturm, but I am predicting a big performance that will prove he's Britain's number one middleweight."

The Bible reveals the Father's overall plan for the world and provides general guidelines for life. But how can we know His specific plans for us? Listening to God is essential to walking with God (Life Principle #13). In order to know the Father's will, we must learn to hear His voice.

Anxiety: How to Respond

By Dr. Charles Stanley

Do you sometimes lie awake at night, fretting about a situation? Have you ever felt paralyzed by worry? Although everyone experiences moments of anxiety, we don't have to let fear control our lives. The Bible teaches us how to acquire peace in the midst of stressful circumstances.

A. Closely guard your thought life.

Anxiety is an emotion caused by fearful thoughts. Changing one's pattern of thinking generally causes apprehension to dissipate. When your thought life becomes negative or counterproductive, deliberately choose to set your mind on something else.

According to Philippians 4:8, what should our focus be?
What percentage of the time does your thinking measure up to this standard?
In what areas does it fall short?

There are a number of ways you can stop an unhealthy train of thought. For instance, you can praise the Lord and thank Him, turn to solving a different challenge, or find wholesome entertainment. But perhaps the best way is to meet God in prayer and focus on biblical truths.

B. Renew your mind with Scripture.

Many anxieties are rooted in worldly concerns. Refreshing your mind with biblical truth can help put such worries in perspective.

Two scriptural principles in particular can bring us great peace:

Our heavenly Father is sovereign and in control over all situations (Ps. 91).
He lovingly provides for the needs of His children (Matt. 6:25-34).

You can also look for verses regarding the specific anxieties that bother you the most. For instance, to counter an unhealthy fear of dying, remind yourself: "God will redeem my life from the grave; He will surely take me to Himself" (Ps. 49:15 NIV).

In what area of your life do you feel most anxious?
What specific scripture(s) could remind you of God's perspective on those worries?

If no verses come to mind, simply ask the Lord to reveal appropriate ones during the next few weeks.

C. Turn anxieties into prayers.

A constructive way to redirect nervous energy is to turn our concerns over to the heavenly Father. You may want to get on your knees and talk out loud to God in the privacy of your home. Or you may find it productive to write your prayers in the form of letters to the Father.

Anxieties may return at some point. If that happens, simply say, "Lord, I'm giving this worry back to You." Then deliberately refocus your thoughts.

Prayer should be accompanied by thanksgiving (Phil. 4:6). What are some reasons for believers to be grateful?
How can an attitude of thankfulness lower a person's anxiety level?
If we make known our requests to God, what does Paul promise will happen (Phil. 4:7)? What do you think this would look like in your life?

Sometime today, present your requests to the Lord according to Paul's instructions in Philippians 4:6. Even if your situation does not change, God will give you His supernatural peace.

D. Diligently fulfill your responsibilities.

When we fail to perform our duties, we sometimes end up with anxiety-causing situations. For example, a person who fails to maintain his car will typically end up with a malfunctioning vehicle.

Those who neglect their responsibilities will face many unnecessary hardships in life. Let's look at this biblical principle as it relates to money. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus promises that the Father will provide for our basic needs. But Scripture also teaches that in most cases, believers have a role to play in meeting financial commitments (2 Thess. 3:10).

According to the wisdom of Proverbs, what are a couple of reasons why some people become poor (Prov. 10:4; 28:19)?
What are two reasons why the apostle Paul worked to earn a living (2 Thess. 3:7-9)?

Now, let's apply the general principle that each believer must do his or her part to respond to problems.

Is God prompting you to be a part of the solution regarding one of your concerns? If so, in what way?
What do you think has prevented you from doing your part?

Of course, taking responsibility doesn't guarantee a resolution to the problem. If the situation doesn't resolve, you can still find supernatural peace by applying the concepts in the rest of this study. Continue to be sensitive to the Lord's guidance regarding your role in finding a solution. If necessary, seek outside help from your pastor, a professional counselor, or a ministry designed to help people struggling with a similar difficulty.

Conclusion: Anxiety can cripple us emotionally and hinder our productivity. Or it can drive us to prayer and prompt spiritual growth. Choose to respond to worry in a godly manner. Not only will the Lord be glorified, but you will be set free from anxiety's paralyzing grip.

Bible Study / Bible Studies: CHARLES STANLEY OSAS PROVED FALSE BY BIBLE!
December 09, 2012, 12:01:25 PM
CHARLES STANLEY OSAS PROVED FALSE BY BIBLE!

This is a look into the teaching that is commonly known as OSAS ('Once Saved, Always Saved'). In this short video message, I take a look at a passage from Charles Stanley's book 'Eternal Security: Can You Be Sure?' and I compare it with the scriptures as they were spoken by Jesus Christ Himself. Can a true Bible believing Christian be deceived and end up in Hell? Yes, according to the Holy Spirit of Truth they can. Read the following passage for yourself, and trust the truth of God's Word, and the leading of the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth! (John 16:13)

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall DEPART from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (1 Timothy 4:1)

An UNBELIEVER cannot DEPART from the FAITH that they were NEVER IN to begin with! The DEVIL already has the UNBELIEVERS in his SATANIC headlock. Satan uses his deceptive and seductive doctrines (teachings) on those who are ALREADY in the FAITH (Christians), to take them away from Jesus Christ. There are thousands upon thousands who teach this FALSE OSAS doctrine, and untold millions who follow them!

Here is an excerpt from Charles Stanley's book regarding people whom the Lord declared would be in outer darkness:

"Where is this place represented by the 'outer darkness' in Jesus' parables? To be in the 'outer darkness' is to be in the kingdom of God but outside the circle of men and women whose faithfulness on this earth earned them a special rank or position of authority. The 'outer darkness' represents not so much an actual place as it does a sphere of influence and privilege."

Concerning the "gnashing of teeth" Charles Stanley goes on to say that these people were

"extremely frustrated with themselves" and

"As some are celebrated for their faithfulness, others will gnash their teeth in frustration..." And

"we do not know how long this time of rejoicing and sorrow will last. Those whose works are burned up will not weep and gnash their teeth for eternity."

[Charles Stanley: Eternal Security, Can You Be Sure? Pages 126-127]

I find it amazing that Mr Stanley would even put something like that in print. If you read about how Jesus spoke about HELL and outer darkness, you know that the Lord was not talking about those in the Kingdom of God or Heaven. According to Charles Stanley there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth in the outer darkness of Heaven! I don't know about you but the place that he is describing sure sounds a lot like HELL to me.

Do you know why? BECAUSE IT IS HELL!

In this message, Dr. Stanley explains how God taught him to trust in His Word and shares the scriptural principles that will also allow us to do so.

Charles Stanley Sermon Notes: Our Heart's Desires

Charles Stanley Sermon Notes: Our Heart's Desires

These are sermon notes from a Pastor Charles F Stanley of In Touch Ministries Atlanta, GA sermon called,"Our Heart's Desires", from '07, & then shown twice this year. Feb, & Nov 22cd '09. In Touch Ministries with Pastor Stanley is online @ www.InTouch.org

Psalm 37:1-8

Our desires reveal:
1. Our character
2. Our self-esteem(There are many people who don't feel worthy to ask anything of God that's a big promise from God, or something that they really want, but think God wouldn't do it for them.)
3. Our direction(of their/our life)(What is it they/we are desiring?), & purpose in life(What is it they/we want to accomplish in life?)
4. Our thoughts(What are we/they thinking about?)
5. Our understanding of who God is(If you understand who the Lord is, there are some desires that will not come into your mind, & heart.)

Our desires reveal more about us, than we may want to reveal about ourselves. Watch your words carefully.

1 Timothy 6:9, Titus 2:11-12(worldly living leaves God out), 2 Peter 2:9-10, & v18(of the same chapter) Be careful always about what you desire, & want, because you may get it. & you can get yourself some absolutely, totally ungodly desires. This is very evident by all the sinfulness around us. Such desires lead to emptiness, pain, suffering, heartache, disappointment, sometimes destruction, & sometimes death. These desires are all the result of corrupt, harmful, ungodly, fleshly, worldly desires. The warnings are in the Bible for us to be careful about our desires, & what we desire. The verses in the Scriptures about us getting the desires of our hearts is not an open door to anything, & everything we want. If we delight ourselves in the Lord, then He will give us the desires of our hearts. With these promises, we have a human responsibility that we must delight ourselves in the Lord, then He will give us the desires of our hearts. We also have a responsibility to be persistent in what we're asking. We have a responsibility to ask, & find out(determine) what is in the will of God, before we ask Him of our desires. Every promise we have from God, we have a human responsibility to expect God to divinely answer that. If we ignore the context of God's promises, we generally fret. & fretting leads to more negative attitudes, & general negativity. We have to claim God's promises the way they are stated in the Bible. Since God operates on the basis of His principles, & guidelines, some prayers may go unanswered, if they do not fit His will. Unanswered prayer is not due to God not listening, ignoring you, or even not necessarily wanting you to not have what you're asking.

Requirements, Our Responsibilities when claiming a promise from God:
1. Delight yourself in The Lord(Basically that we're so pleased with God, that we want to follow Him, & His plan, & purpose for our life. & to be obedient to Him. It's all about God, not us. Delight yourself in The Lord, not in your desires. You can't be delighted in the Lord, while you are willfully disobeying Him, due to such disobedience creating conflict between you, & the Lord.
2. Commit your way to The Lord(Basically this means to lay down, & surrender our desires to God, for Him to either change it anyway He sees fit to, or to not fulfill it.) Where your mind goes, your feet are gonna follow, so be careful what you think about.
3. Trust in The Lord Romans 8:32
4. Rest in The Lord(Let Him have your desires. Don't be concerned over it.)
5. Wait patiently for God

If we are genuinely, & wanting to genuinely follow, & be obedient, & committed to God, & His plan, & purpose, & still make a mistake, He will turn it around for our good, if we learn the lesson. Romans 8:28

My dear friend Tanja and her Family encountered a tragic and unexpected loss, when Tanjas Sister, who was living in England, died from a heart attack at the age of 41. She Left behind two beautiful children. One is already out of the house and going to college The other one is 8 years old. Tanja lives here in the USA and wants to adopt her Sisters daughter to be able to grow up in a loving environment with her, her husband and her own daughter, which is 14. The problem is, the adoption will cost between $20000 and $30000 - for lawyers and court cost, flying back and forth and so on. We were able to organize $5000 from friends and school fund raisers so far, but it is not enough and we neeeeeed your help for this poor child, now all alone with no parents, waiting in a foster home until a judge will make a decision - and it will all come down to the money. This girl belongs with her relatives and not in a home. Please, every penny counts. Please go to

The NBA and the Referees Suck in less than 6 second (DOUBLE DRIBBLE)

www.actualtecnologia.com First, make comments related to the video. Pay attention to the double dribble that Rajon Rondo. When Paul passes the ball, Rondo make one dribble, hold the ball and dribble again. Seriously? Maybe some of you will agree and some of you will disagree. I don't watch NBA anymore like ai used to in the 90`s, and that is the main reason. But people, that is clearly a DOUBLE DRIBBLE. The referees make so mucho money and they don't do a good job. Referees in the NBA make anywhere from $100000 to $550000 for a season of 82 games. Awful!
