Ms Agnes, I don't know if my skincare routine belongs to 'beauty tips', since I don't consider myself beautiful, nor do I have flawless skin...but these are things I've been doing for a while...they're really pretty basic...

A) I wash my face with Noxzema (original formula) -- it's the only thing that has consistently worked for me over the years
B) I alternate using two toners --a) Dickinson's witch hazel, b) Arbonne toner
C) I moisturize with Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer for combination skin -- this product is the best I've tried so far, there's noticeable improvement on my skin in the last few weeks that I've used it
D) Every other day, I use Arbonne's Thermal Fusion Enzyme Mask -- this is my HG (Holy Grail) facial scrub/mask, I've tried a lot of facial scrubs, but this one is the best so far; it's a little bit pricey, but definitely worth it (mine was a gift from MIL)
E) I use Neutrogena Swedish Formula Hand Cream on areas that tend to get really dry in the winter, hands, elbows, knees etc etc -- this works so good, and it's pretty affordable too...I like the fact that it works just as good as petroleum jelly but has none of the icky oily, sticky feel
F) And finally, this one I just started recently...I scrub my scalp using fresh lemon juice, then slather my hair with mayonnaise, leave it on for 2 hrs, and then rinse my hair with a 1:1 solution of apple cider vinegar and water after shampooing...this is amazing! I just did this last night, and I'm loving my hair right now...

My mom is very gwatsinanggo, very tabian, very Boholana and Inabangnon in her mannerisms. I enjoy her friendship, she can make me laugh like no one else. My mom and I share a passion for food, so when we're together, there's always food involved. But we both can't cook very well. LOL

My dad is a very calm person. Even when he's mad, he's calm. I don't think I've ever heard him raise his voice. He is smart, and more importantly, he's streetsmart (which I'm not). Despite his faults, he is one of the bravest people I know. He is also one of the lucky few endowed with the 'happy' gene, he can never be miserable even if he wanted to.

I am lucky...and blessed...because I have the parents I have.

I got really sleepy after ko ningkaon sa turkey, but then ingon man sa study that one would actually need to consume 2 whole turkeys to have enough tryptophan to induce drowsiness in one's system, so I think it's largely psychosomatic ra jud cguro na. We feel sleepy because we anticipate feeling sleepy after eating the turkey.

Musta inyong mga adlaw?

Just got back home from the Thanksgiving kumbera. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, I got to spend the first part with my banana's entire family (sister, in-laws, uncles, aunties, grandparents, cousins etc etc), and we had a traditional American Thanksgiving. The second part was spent at the house of my Pinoy good friend, with his family...this time, it was the Pinoy version of thanksgiving.

I had so much fun, I had the best of both worlds.

I loved reading Agatha Christie books too, Ms Emlegaspo. My favorite character of hers is Ms Jane Marple.

We all get depressed from time to time, but clinical depression (major depressive disorder) is something else entirely. It is more physiological than psychological in origin.

No one who has never suffered from major depression can ever know how it feels to live with it from day to day.

I just wish she'd have sought help from healthcare professionals and various support groups that could have made a tremendous difference.
