it's sad and frustrating really when most noypis abroad don't realize this

yes, yes...luod jud but i am such a hypocrit about everything regarding politics because i haven't exercised my right to suffrage yet although i have always volunteered for namfrel quick counts every chance i get, but, i guess that doesn't really cut it. i didn't vote, i didn't dare will my power as a citizen, i don't have the right to complain...but, yes, luod jud. the inabanga mayor isn't inspiring, and though the congressman is a good friend of my brother, i can argue with him why he doesn't belong to the congress...

sad really, because it is not simply a political thing. it is an intricate and deeply rooted social and economic problem. something which could have been avoided IF the filipinos have been well educated, or even educated enough which we aren't because the government isn't benevolent enough to make quality standard education available and afforadable to all.

mike, i had the misfortune or the honor, to watch a beauty pageant at HNU. i forgot what it was but my aunt was one of the pageant's consultants or something like that so i got a seat for free.a contestant was asked whether she was against or for the legalization of jueteng or lotto (or something like that) in bohol. i can still remember her exact answer, "no, because it is not the problem to the solution. thank you." that did it, i resolve to disqualify myself from pageant invitations!!!!

the characters needed to run an LGU of a third world country like the RP aren't bundled in a US diploma simply because of the great disparity in our cultural, economic and political mindsets.

i am not much interested in politics and i know even less about it. but, when my brother told me a few weeks back that a 21 year old won a municipal seat, i was scandalized. more so when a classmate from uni won a congressional seat!! is it just me or do we seriously need to ratify the qualifications, age foremost, stated in our local government code! i have two relatives on the list, an uncle and a cousin. i didn't know they won, that's how impervious i am! this is a cool site! i'll come here frequently.
