I am a little upset that my Lincoln seems not running right. I don't drive it for a month. I wanted to use it yesterday but looks like a battery problem. I hope it can make it through Walmart for a check up.

Car trouble freaks me out real bad.

I have a mixed feelings about population control. Abortion is a great No..No to me, but I am leaning on the positive side of contraceptives.

Back to China, according to google, its population is 20% world's total. That means 1 every 5 people is a resident of China. Whewwww!!!!

Wolf. Sometimes life tends to throw a ball curve our direction, sometimes we fall and have a hard time getting up, sometimes past pains are hard to heal or are constantly in the subconscious and affects actions (and it really does). I in no way am trying to mitigate your personal experiences and am sure it hurt, but i would like to also add that through your efforts in regional build-up, and life sustenance efforts (from reading about your projects and involvement in the grassroots) you have made changes (definitely) for the better and lives were definitely touched through your works.

Please know that you are definitely appreciated, and your experiences are as human as it gets. I hope you are feeling better, wolf.

Keep on smiling.
All my life God is not tired sending me angels, good people that helped me manage life with ease (mind you there are devils too, to test my sanity), now that I am capable, it is now my turn to fulfill God's wishes to do the bright side of life.

That must have been very traumatizing, wolf, at such a young age (13 being such a highly sensitive time for a woman, considering the maturation process, and all that entails for a woman). So in part, your friends (close friends, i mean) have effectively taken up the role of parent and close guardian in your life. It must have been hard for you, wolf. Truly, it must have been.
Ohh yeah, rough, but I worked harder to have a good life and worked even harder to be a good person. I experienced one day one eat, and who cares, the world is too busy to notice me.

Struggle is the name-game. But, that does not mean I have a bad life, I have fun as I grew up. I don't regret anything whatsoever.

puahaha, i love that coined term, "balance of trade"!

I have a friend , a very beautiful curvy white woman (she has a very curvy body) and was telling me that the man who she liked was taken; taken by a small sized asian woman. She asked me if there was anything wrong with her. Luoy pood intawn. Guapa ug sexy raba ijang lawas...

ahayyyy~  :P
Well, the winner takes it all. I lost my husband to another Pinay that he met online. Now, he is in the Ph and joined her. He left everything because of love (maybe lust), you can't beat that part. But, if he comes back to me and said:"You cant find one like me." Jesus, what I did to deserve a double jeopardy.

No. In fact I have a joke, that my Mom cannot hear very clearly but when I tell her the PIN, she can hear it loud and clear. They followed what I want them to do, that because they are heavily dependent on me on  almost everything...I considered that peace offerings.

But, I live a life alone for so long, too late now to go back and be sentimental about it just as when I was 13 years old and growing.

"because you (referring to me) seem to have a racial preference for asian women! that and the fact that asian women are stealing white american men!" i could not help from laughing. :P

Hahahhaha...tell them that is economics, "demand vs supplies", and well of course, the quality of the products dictate the demands.

But, listen to this, a Pinoy once told me that he is angry of foreigners because they are stealing the Filipinas. Magpares na lang kaha na sila, para adunay balance of trade.

hehehe they say that by 2050, the minority will be the majority in the United States of America. This country will no longer be a 'white' nation.

Again, it only strengthens the already internationally accepted understanding that the United States is a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-cultural nation state. Our racial demographic will be akin to that of Brazil, which is highly amalgamated nation-state.

In the United States, wolf, the minorities tend to have a higher birth rate , child per family, as compared to the white-american demographic.

So true. In our parish it used to be crowded with white people, now I am seeing black and hispanics. To add, I told the white American, blame that on your white American spouses that bitches about having kids LOL!

There are so many reasons why people build walls instead of bridges. When you are deeply wounded, you prefer to isolate yourself, you shy away from people that connect to the pains and anything that reminds you of that awful feelings are oftentimes shut off from your life.

I for one built walls against my family, owing to the fact that I grew up without them. But, I take care of them (well my money does), however, I refused to let them come into my life entirely. I have set the limitations. My parents don't even know that my marriage was over. It is wrong, but I am more comfortable sharing my problems to my friends than my family. It made me sad at some point but that's is best I believe.

What a coincidence because last Thursday I was discussing with my partners, a white American and Hispanic from Ecuador, about this racial distribution in the United States starting the year 2040. According to that research, though am not sure if it is official, that white Americans will be starting to become a history in the US. That Hispanics, black Americans and Asians will become the dominant physical appearance of the people living here, because the whites stopped producing children. The current white people will become old and no new generations will replace them.

Based on this premise, maybe Clinton has some logical explanation at the back of his head. With the influx of inter-marriages happening now to Filipinos, time will come that the Philippines will be converted to different color... and the living brown people will be the minority if we stop making children.

Maybe 100 years or so. That what happened to New Zealand when they adopted "o" population growth way back then. NZ reached to a point, that they don't have enough productive population, even now it is roughly 50% in the labor force and the increase rate is still less than 2%.

There is a saying of the Philippine playboys: " Di bale maubos ang salapi nungka ang lahi."

hehe, a topic close to my heart.  if there's no trade secret involved, mind sharing the recipe here?
Of course.
Ingredients:
1 head cabbage (shredded)
5 carrots (shredded)
lots of garlic (finely chop)
2 handful meat (just for flavor)
a handful of shrimp (pounded and cut to small pieces)
oyster sauce (for seasoning)

Procedure:

Saute the garlic in olive oil, then add meat and shrimps, add the vegetables and continue stirring using both hands (sigehan og ukay ba, duha ka luwag lousy kaayo ko maghimo og recipe) then add the oyster sauce. Do not overcook the veggie. When done drain all the water, after that put it on a wide shallow pan and refrigerate and allowed to cool (not in the freezer). After an hour or so, roll it.

Wrap the egg roll in a clear plastic wrap, tighten it. Put it on another plastic bag to avoid exposure in the freezer. Fry it frozen.

Masabtan ba?

Remembering my Friend Marlene.

I met her when I migrated to Davao City to find a job right after I graduated from college. She is my sorority sister. When my savings ran out, she offered me to stay in their house. He parents love me like a real child, her siblings considered me as one of them. I called her parents Mommy and Daddy. She was working and was financially supporting me until I landed a job in the Department of Agriculture. I have no family, and they gave me one. I was so sad when she left Davao City and went to Manila to take CPA board exam. She decided to stay in Manila, luckily she found a good job. While she was gone, my career was getting stable. I was given the opportunity to work as an Expatriate for South Asian food security program, a Swiss funded and I left Davao City to stay in our Asian headquarter in Bangkok. The pay check was good so after my contract I decided to stay in Manila. Since then, we never been separated, only when she finally got a boyfriend and got married. I was so furious when I know about it. I know all her life she wanted to be a nun, the only thing that keep her holding is her family which she was financially supporting. I promised her that I will be rich so she can follow her heart's desire. I failed her because I was not able to make so much money to support my family and hers. She considered my failure as a sign of God for her to marry. I was the Maid of Honor on her wedding but, I did not attend. I failed her searchings. We don't talk for a while, but when she got her first baby Dannah, she called me to be the Godmother. Then, we were back to each other. When Daddy got cancer, she asked me if we are going to let Daddy undergo a chemo. I said no, God has plans for Daddy and, let him feel comfortable.

She did not push the issue of chemo. Later I realized, if money can save his life why not. I have little savings at that time, and I told her again that we can afford to give Daddy a chemo. But, she told me Daddy is too weak already, I need to come home to Davao because he was looking for me. At the time I was on my campaign trail for National Vice President for Sorority in our frat/sor; a dream that I worked hard to realize. Because of this, my travels to all regions were very intensive. The convention will be in Davao so I decided to go there ahead of time before the convention and spend time with Daddy. It was May 26, at 3pm I was on his bedside at the hospital, he wished me luck for the election. In between sobs I can't believe it takes me too long to visit the man that stood as my father all these times. Thirty minutes later Daddy closed his eyes forever. Marlene comforted me that Daddy was only waiting for me. For the second time, I feel that I failed her. I carry that in my heart for a long time. I was so ashamed for being so overwhelmed with my dreams, that I forgot to give my friend the needed support when she needs it most. I was overwhelmed with guilt, until one day, she told me that she always understand the life I have chosen. That she will always support my undertakings, my plans and support whatever that makes me happy because she loves me.

She has a godly heart, but was unfortunate with finances after she got married. She always told me that she accepted her fate because God punished her for not following her desired vocation. I always convince her that God will never punish a clean and good heart. When I migrated in the US, I was supporting her financial needs. Then I sent her to nursing school, at first she does not want because she does not want to burden me, but I insisted. Now, she is a registered nurse and her life was changed forever.

We are both happy in our own world though, thousand miles away from each other. We both know that we are always there for each other, nothing can change that.

I am now completely free of guilt for once I did something to the person I truly care and love more than a family. It is truly not the blood that runs in your heart, it is through the heart that makes a certain person so special in your life.

And as a former President, he does a lot of charity works - maski palakero pana siya  before and probably still now (hahaha). He has also helped a lot of people both from Third World countries and locally... probably more than all of us here at TB combined. It's all perception... and presidents included, at times, they don't get the respect they deserved because of who they are. But they do, sometimes, that we don't know about. I for one can attest to his charity works because our community (my parish) is one of the many recipients of the Presidentd Bush & Clinton grant after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Yes, I can vouch for this too because he spearheaded a campaign for the victims of Katrina. The Bush and Clinton tandem in 2005 for the victims of Katrina gained popular support all over the world. We helped also in our own little ways.

What will NY152 say today, I wonder. I turn on my computer, I wait impatiently as it boots up. I go online, and my breath catches in my chest until I hear three little words: You've got mail. I hear nothing, not even a sound on the streets of New York, just the beat of my own heart. I have mail. From you."

Yesterday afternoon, I helped in repainting our fence. Hours after,i experienced a mild spotting. This morning, it was already a bit alarming that Herman told me to visit my obgyne the soonest. I underwent a transvaginal ultrasound where i saw the image of the fetus. My doc told me to be hopeful that the fetus would hold tightly. When i arrived home, i saw a thick blood shaped like the fetus after i urinated.
OMG, but you are okay? I am sad too...

There are people that like us or dislike us. There is nothing we can do about that, but, if you keep saying you don't care about them, I believe you, the feeling is probably mutual.

However, why consider yourself with someone that has enemies, it is not healthy for the soul.

The Infant King Church in Cortes according to my grand-aunts, is a miraculous church. They told me when I was still a baby, they used to offer me to Sto. Niño in a dancing ceremony because I was very sickly as a child, that takes place during the town fiesta which is 16th of January.

They told me also that during the war, there were several attempts to drop bombs on the church. howver, it landed on Abatan River. The old folks believed that the patron blew those bombs away.

A quote from my favorite author:

My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place--police, firefighters, and members of our armed forces."

And today, here I am at work trying to do my share to make the citizens of Polk County safe.

sex is a process of combining and mixing genetic traits, often resulting in the specialization of organisms into a male or female variety.
It is XX and XY chromosomal pairings that resulted to male and female. So genetically there is no "Bajot" scientifically speaking.
