This is nice move to push for the strengthening of COOPs because this is a better way to empower the people - poor or not so poor.  But as in politics, cooperatives need good leaders or chairpersons and oh yes, proper accounting system.

Hello willmerit! Below is the list of basic ingredients but most of the time akong gadugagan kon unsa lang makita nko sa akong pantry.  Sahay makakita ko sa akong pantry na naay nata de coco ako pod butangan or di ba naay laing dried fruits, or bottled cherries and nuts hala butang lang man ko. Anyway, mao ni sya akong basic ingredients:

eggs, cream or half and half or pwede na just milk, condensed milk (as sweetener too), melted butter, dash of salt, cinnamon, mix all together then soak in it enough day-old bread and or leftover donuts. bake at about 350 degrees for about 45 minutes to an hour or until ma brown na ang top.  serve hot or cold.  good too with vanilla ice cream! lol!

Thanks, Bran!  My Dad stopped smoking which is what we have been praying for long and he also kind of stopped drinking too but only on special occasions.

Forgiveness is really important.  God shouldn't find in our hearts that we need to forgive somebody.  It's so hard to move on if we don't forgive people who wronged us.  For this boy, I will pray for him to find it in his young heart to forgive his father and move on with his life free of anger and someday he will be a fine boy just like you!

That's right, Jun!  I will speak on behalf of my sisters, in our own little ways, we built our future in the midst of storm.  It may not be as big as the others but we could have been worst if we did not persevere and if we just gave up when it was easier to.  God is good!

That's right, Bran! My father used to be a big drinker.  He scared us a lot when he got drunk.  He never touched us (drunk or not) but just the same when he got loud, it was really terrorizing.   This has always been my question jud, Bran!  Ngano man jud mag sobra man inom when they know already mabuang na kon mahubog!

This story reminded me of fatal stabbing of a boy in Maribojoc in another thread, only here the father stabbed his own son and I pray to God he survives and he will forgive his father.

Oh, I felt so bad reading this, Mike!  If the boy survives, he will always carry the emotional and physical scar of what his father did.  His father will always regret what he did to his son.  Alcohol may have played a big role in that altercation or who knows. I felt so so bad for this wounded family.

Ngano man diay kon dili man jud kaha kapugngan ang vote buying, modawat ang mga katawhan sa money unya mo vote lang gihapon sila according to their conscience?  Will somebody please explain to me because if I am just being ridiculous or if this is possible, then why not just educate the voters.
#18831
WN,

Thanks for the info.

I had a great time reading your posts kay informative and thought-provoking.

Naa na pod ta dinhi, Way Nada!  lol Nganong sayop man ang paghatag sa katawhan ug full democracy?  Dili hinuon ko ganahan anang college vote kay dili man jud na ang tinuod na tingog sa katawhan kay gi representahan lang man ang kada istado ug pila ka number sa votes depending on the size of the state.

gahimo ko ana Gem - mura bitaw na sya bread pudding. tuyuon lang ipa bahaw ang pan aron lami kay kon ma bahaw na, mo dry bitaw na ang pan so maka absorb jud ug tarong sa liquid which is a combination of milk, cream, melted butter, eggs ug naa dayon cinnamon ug usahay butangan pod nko ug dry wine.
#18839
#18840
Ah, mao ba, Way Nada?  (I still feel funny calling you Way Nada oi coz I am learning a lot from you! hhahaha)  So anyway, kining Kyoto Protocol unnecessary lugar ni?  Ang tuyo ug tumong gud ni ani aron ma ubusan ang ginatawag ug Greenhouse gas emissions which is a human activity.  Am I wrong? What's your take on excepting developing countries like China and India in the Kyoto Protocol?

Speaking of Al Gore, I saw his documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. Nagpakli-pakli pod intawon ko ug libro para masabtan nko ang modelling nya sa Earth because it looks so impressive pero ning samot lang ko ka libog.  Anyway, the message was good but wala kaayo ko salig sa messenger.  Diha sa documentary, makita nato naglakaw sya sa airport supposedly to take commercial planes but i read na gasakay man na sya sa iyang private plane which is a great pollutant.

But can we go back to the time of our forefathers who depend solely upon fire and stones as tools for living?  Dili siguro ba?

Salamat, Way Nada!

#18842
Hello, Way Nada! (I am sure naa jud kay Nada coz you are such a smart person! lol)

So if illegal na presidente si GMA, buot ipasabot nag recognize ang presidente sa ubang nasud sa tibuok kalibutan sa usa ka illegal na presente?  tsk tsk tsk dangerous world!

He was caught red handed, in my opinion, in that Velarde case. The fact that he knowingly signed a bogus account, nagpamatuod na kulang ang iyang paminsar sa mga butang.  Mo uyon ko nimo na magpa ilawom kita sa tingog sa mga tawo pero, Way Nada, kanus-a pa ba klaro nadungog ang tingog sa mga tawo na gi corrupt man ang atong mga voters? By the way, usa ko sa mga daghan na tawo na nag rally para ma oust si Erap.  I did what was best for my country, bisan gi sukwahi nako ang opinyon sa akong mga ginikanan.

Salamat sa pagpahinumdum nako mahitungod aning demokrasya, Way Nada!

Wow!  I bet the best wedding jud to didto!  That's my hideaway too, c2! I spent one birthday didto and they prepared a very humble dinner for me.  touching kaayo tapos gitagaan ko flowers from their garden. I love that place!

Yes, c2.  I used to daydream of a wedding up there in Lake Tahoe but I didn't write that in my wish list to God kay basin mo ingon si Lord sobra nako.  But when my husband, who is not really that romantic but more on practical, said we will have our wedding in Lake Tahoe, I was speechless.  I said to myself, Lord, you are so cute! lol
#18846
Thanks, C2!  And I am sure my sister Lumine can relate this too, di ba Men? ;)

At one time, I had a very good friend who loved me and I think I loved him too but it just didn't work and I just wasn't ready even if I was already in the right age.  Friends warned me that I had wasted a chance already.  But you can't argue with people just basing on your inner voice.  I always believed and I claimed that to God that He will give me the right man for me - not necessarily perfect otherwise he wouldn't want me too. lol

C2, I think someday oneday, we will meet each other in the adoration chapel.  When things get though, I get going by spending sometime at the adoration chapel.  You can pour your heart out and feel that God is really listening to you.

#18847
busa kinahanglan vigilant kitang tanan aron dili k******n unya mag cooperate ta sa mga kapolisan kon naa tay nahibal-an aron masumpo ning mga binuhatan aning mga k******n - kana kon walay involvement coz i read many times na naay involvement ang mga ubang mga police.  no offense meant again coz naa bya koy uncle na police sa una ug naa pod mga kagupa na police.

Bran, after you eat your humba, go back to the vegetarian and healthy thread because I posted a simple and healthy soup.

How do you cook your humba?  Gave you tried using red wine instead of water to dilute the vinegar?  Try it, it's good!
#18860
Ok, here's a simple home made soup.  I'd call this:

MISO SOUP

ingredients:

olive oil
ginger
tomato
spring onion
tofu
miso paste (of course)
oyster mushroom (or shiitake or any mushroom you like)
vegetable or seafood stock or chicken stock, whatever you prefer
seaweed or you can use green vege like spinach, chard, cabbage
cilantro (optional but since I love cilantro, i put this any dish i can!)
salt and pepper to taste
sesame oil

sautee ginger until brown.  you can let it stay or you can take it out, whatever you prefer.  add white portion of the spring onion and tomato and cook until wilted.  add mushroom and stir for a minute or two.  add stock or broth and let it boil until mushroom is cooked. add miso paste - i use a tablespoon for every cup of stock but if you like more miso flavor, go ahead, don't be shy. lol. season to taste.  add green vege and cilantro and just let it quickly boil and remove from heat. serve hot with a drop or two of sesame oil.  enjoy!

I don't question your preference, Bran, because "ang Bol anon gayod magmahal kanimo hangtud sa kahangturan!"  I have had few friends from other countries and they are really have different views on family.  For men here naman, they want a stable family that their girls can not give busan they look for wives somewhere else.   But not all ha I don't want to be toinked for that. heheheh

Me, I didn't plan on marrying a non-Filipino neither did I plan to marry only a Filipino.  I let my heart decides who to love and be with for the rest of my life. lol  Of course, I pray so hard to God from the very beginning that He would lead me to the right man.  For awhile, I thought God had forgotten already my desire but He didn't!  He gave me a good man from a different continent but we understood each other.  WE equally love each other, and we will be together through thick and thin.

Ngek!  Baby Matt will have a better life kon dili sya mag artista! Magulo ang buhay artista.  Been there, done that! hahaha mura pod korek!  artista sa freak movies hahahah

To the issue,  I married a guy from Kenyan and we are living in a country that is neither his nor mine - US!  I go with, culture doesn't matter. (thanks Happy!)  Communication is important so it's important that you speak out your mind.  panagsa mag away man jud but the important thing is that you love each other. When you love each other, everything can be understood. Our hearts know no distinction of cultures, anyway.

According to local police members who happen to be friends of mine they have complained n the past with Inking he is gutom-Gutom and when Evangelista received funds that were extra he would share it with the other PNP members as an incentive where as to Inking does not?
This is why we now have some not so happy attitudes with in the police forces now a days here.
Even if the incentive was in a simple form of a Lechon baboy but the Boys would always have something to look forward too after going the extra mile for the province in over time.
It's nice to be rewarded for going the extra mile. :)

What is gutom-Gutom, precious?  where are these extra funds or incentives we are talking about coming from?

OFs and OFWs contribute a lot to our country economically so we should be given voice to the congress but how do you choose a representative amongst OFs and OFWs all over the world?  I can see we TB members, in the near future, can push to be represented in the Bohol Council but pardon my ignorance, is there already a strong organization of OFs and OFWs world-wide?

Men, here's a link to Kim's video.

For TB friends, you may want to see the video taken by my brother in law Kim when they were in Bohol for two weeks.  That was his first time to be there and he really enjoyed his Bohol trip!
