Nahitabo nga nang recruit ang Phil. Army sa ROTC. Para ibala sa Mindanao. Jolo and Palawan. Army. Mi enlist ko. Nag training mi diha ra sa Tagbilaran. Ang among CO si Calimbayan. Nakalimot na man ko sa ijang first name. Ricardo man tingali to. Ang training officer namo was a Tagalog. Lt. Grio. Kining sundawo ta dali ra maka attract ug chicks. Si Geesnel Lim, of the well known Lim family of Tagbilaran mo adto pod sa stadium. Motanaw namo mag training. Kay naka sight man sija ni Lt. Grio. Pagka gwapa ni Geesnel. Kalami na lang unta ipanguyab. Pero kotob ra intawon ko sa tanaw. Tulo laway.

Naa man gud sijay duha ka gwapang dalaga, Si Espie ug si Lita. Nanguyab ko ni Espie. As I have said kining gera mora ra ug duwa duwa. Dili ba sa gagmay pa tang bata, mag gera gera man ta. Naa tay ginama nga posil posil. Dili man tanang higayon gera. Naa mau usahay mag attempt pod ug peace talks. Plastic man na. Which was true. Pero hadlok sila ug garand. My preffered arms was a garand rifle. Kay mag imagine ko nga sniper konohay ko, expert marksman and sIYOTer. Pero sa tinood lang, in real life, perte nahong banga-a.

from The FREEMAN, a Cebu newspaper
July 12, 2013

I got a text message from the Villavicencio family that their father, whom we fondly know as Brother Stanley Villavicencio, Cebu's modern day Lazarus, passed away yesterday dawn. I have known Bro. Stanley for a long time as he was a very amiable employee at the Mactan International Airport (MCIA) as he was a civilian employed by the Aviation Security Command (AVESCOM).

But in March 1993, there was a dramatic event that changed his life when he coughed blood and was rushed to the Chong Hua Hospital. There he continued vomiting blood until his heartbeat slowed down and he was declared brain dead. The family could not believe what happened to him and kept him in the hospital and prepared for his burial three days later. Then Bro. Stanley woke up as if he had no medical problem. It was then that he revealed that he met face-to-face with our Lord Jesus Christ who came as the Divine Mercy. Since then he became Cebu's Apostle for the Divine Mercy.

I remember one time that Bro. Stanley approached me if I had "friends" at the US Embassy as he was invited to be interviewed at the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). Since he had 13 children and no means of livelihood, he could not pass the visa requirements. However, I told Bro. Stanley I had no contacts with the US Embassy. Of course as the long story goes, he was denied his request for a US visa.

But Bro. Stanley's faith was so strong in his faith and he told me that if our Lord Jesus Christ wished him to be in the US, this would happen. Soon after the denial of his visa, when EWTN learned of this, they called up their Senator, a famous man, Sen. Richard Lugar requesting him to allow Bro. Stanley to the US. Right there, Bro. Stanley got a phone call from Sen. Lugar telling him to go back to the US Embassy for his visa. Soon enough, Bro. Stanley was in the US giving talks about what happen to him and why he has spent the rest of his life in the service of the Divine Mercy.

I have since attended most of the Divine Mercy Convention at the University of Cebu (UC) Campus near SRP and last May 4 was the 18th Divine Mercy Convention, but unfortunately, Bro. Stanley went there only for a short while as he was too ill to stay there long enough. I didn't realize that this would be his last year.

Now Bro. Stanley is gone to the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. If he died 20 years ago, I'm sure that only his family would remember him. But the Lord granted him 20 more years in the service of the Divine Mercy and now we can count on Bro. Stanley to be our intercessor in heaven and I count myself as lucky to have known Bro. Stanley. His remains is in his home in Mambaling and burial is slated to be on July 21. May we request our pious readers to please pray for the repose of his soul.

Stanley Villavicencio is a married layperson with 13 children, and a living witness to the miraculous power of Divine Mercy. He is not an ordained priest or deacon, thus most people simply choose to call him "Brother Stanley".

In 1993 Stanly was found in bed bleeding profusely from the mouth by one of his family members. He was rushed to the hospital.  After a tremendous loss of blood Stanley went into a deep coma and soon after was declared clinically dead. His family refused the hospital to place him in the morgue.  They did, however, order his coffin and made arrangements for his funeral. Suddenly after 3 days, he woke up at 8AM in perfect health!

While he lay ‘dead’ Stanley says he spoke with Jesus. As he died, the first image he saw was the image of Christ as the Divine Mercy. Stanley reviewed his life 3 times as Jesus watched, seeing all the good things he had done and all his sins too.  Jesus asked him if he was willing to go back to His people and preach the message of Divine Mercy to a world in dire need of mercy.  Stanley said "yes" and awoke immediately - his health fully restored.

Since 1993 he has spoken nearly 7000 times in his efforts to evangelize - all over the world. At the canonization of St. Faustina in Rome in the year 2000 Stanley gave his testimony to 36 Cardinals, 38 bishops, and many priests.

Many healings have come during the veneration of the Divine Mercy  image Stanley takes with him everywhere he goes. The veneration comes at the end of Stanley’s presentation.

This is the true story of Stanley Villaviciencio, a devotee of Divine Mercy, who died and was brought back to life thru a miracle of Divine Mercy.

On the morning of March 3, 1993, Stanley Villavicencio's mother-in-law discovered Stanley moaning and shivering violently in his bed with blood spouting from his mouth. A relative, who is a registered nurse, was called but failed to find a pulse. Already his heart beat had come to a near halt and his eyes had turned white. He was rushed to Chung Wah Hospital where he was immediately placed in intensive care. His family was told by medical experts that he only had a one-in-a-million chance of survival. His organs had failed and when doctors attempted a blood transfusion they found that the blood was so thick it was unable to circulate around his body. His wife duly phoned home and arranged for his burial in the family plot. Four of his relatives, who are doctors, were asked for permission to turn off the life support machine, but they refused. Although family members kept a bed side vigil praying at his side, all hope had been given up of a recovery. During the three days of coma it had been established that he was clinically dead, but as he was to reveal later he was very much alive.

The Gospels tell us that Jesus was born in cave or stable in Bethlehem “because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2.7) There, our Lord â€" God made man â€" was wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manger. What a blessed place!

The Church has always held this place in high esteem, which is why at the beginning of the fourth century a small chapel was built around it so that everyone could visit it.

Unfortunately, this chapel was destroyed in a revolt in the 6th century. Soon after, though, when a period of peace reigned, the Emperor Justinian ordered that the chapel be rebuilt, but now much larger â€" it would be a basilica! It is precisely this basilica that continues to this day.

Celebration Town Center

It's impossible not to have a good time in a place called Celebration.

Originally developed by the Walt Disney Company, the master of happy places, Celebration offers the best of small-town America-with a modern twist.

Celebration boasts charming homes, lush, green parks and a relaxing lakefront en route to a block of independently owned boutiques and gift shops. As you stroll through the quaint village, Celebration's close-knit, friendly community will welcome you warmly.

Some of the country's best architects designed Celebration's community buildings, Welcome Center and more than 2,500 homes. Try the walking tour, available online or at the visitor's center, to learn about different buildings throughout downtown. Bustling Market Street's stucco buildings, verandas and arcades call to mind the breezy Caribbean. Clusters of columns give the stately, Philip Johnson-designed Town Hall a postmodern feel, while the Googie cinema has the Jetsons-style architecture of the 1950s.

Colonial, Folk Victorian and Mediterranean-style homes blend together along Celebration's residential streets to create walkable postcards that you'll remember for years.

When you've worked up an appetite, grab a bite at one of Celebration's diverse eateries. Local favorite Columbia Restaurant serves an extensive selection of Spanish and Cuban dishes. They'll even mix a carafe of sangria or toss a famous "1905 Salad" right at your table. Where do I begin
To tell the story of how great a love can be
The sweet love story that is older than the sea
The simple truth about the love she brings to me
Where do I start
With her first hello
She gave new meaning to this empty world of mine
There'll never be another love, another time
She came into my life and made the living fine
She fills my heart
She fills my heart with very special things
With angels' songs, with wild imaginings
She fills my soul with so much love
That anywhere I go I'm never lonely
With her around, who could be lonely
I reach for her hand, it's always there
How long does it last?
Can love be measured by the hours in a day?
I have no answers now but this much I can say
I know I'll need her till the stars all burn away
And she'll be there
How long does it last?
Can love be measured by the hours in a day?
I have no answers now but this much I can say
I know I'll need her till the stars all burn away
And she'll be there

Ali Baba, a poor woodcutter was in the forest when he saw forty thieves stop in front of a cave.
The leader said “Open Sesame!” and before Ali Baba’s amazed eyes the sealed mouth of the cave magically opened and the men disappeared inside. To come out and close the entrance, the leader said “Close Sesame” and the cave sealed itself once more. Trembling with excitement Ali Baba waited till the thieves had left and then entered the cave after saying the magic words. To his delight he found lots of treasure.
Ali Baba told his brother Kasim about the wondrous cave. Kasim set off to get some treasure for himself too. Sadly, he forgot the words to leave the cave and the thieves killed him. Ali Baba discovered his brother’s body in the cave. With the help of a slave girl called Morgiana, he was able to take Kasim’s body back home and bury it.
Realising that someone else knew about their cave the thieves tracked Ali Baba down. The leader, disguised as an oil seller stayed with Ali Baba. He had brought along mules loaded with forty oil jars containing the other thieves. Clever Morgiana knew who the oil seller really was and poured boiling oil into the jars killing the other thieves. While dancing in front of the leader of the thieves Morgiana stabbed him. Ali Baba was saved and lived happily ever after.

Niklas Zennstrom

LONDON â€" Niklas Zennström, Skype's cofounder and former CEO, is backing a company building car-sized aircraft in Germany through his venture capital firm Atomico.

Lilium Aviation, a two-year-old Munich startup, received â,¬10 million (£8.4 million) on Monday from Atomico and other investors to help it develop the personal electric planes that are capable of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL).

Founded by four entrepreneurs in 2014, Lilium envisages building a quiet, lightweight commuter aircraft that will be capable of flying between cities at a height of 3,000m. It is gearing up to test its first full-sized prototype early next year.

With an expected range of 300km and estimated top speed of up to 300km/h, the Lilium Jet is aiming to make inter-city travel, faster than any widely available mass transit system. San Francisco to Palo Alto would take less than 15 minutes, while Munich to Frankfurt would take just over an hour.

"This is a really good example of founders who are using deep technology to take on a very big problem," said Zennström, who has joined the board of the company, at the TechCrunch Disrupt conference. "The way we deal with transportation today is broken. There are congestions and to get from East London to West London takes forever. There is pollution in our cities with carbon dioxide so we get climate change.

"Of course you have electrical vehicles and autonomous vehicles to deal with some of those things but really to solve it in a big way we think you need to take to the skies."

rendering City takeoff Lilium Aviation

Atomico, which was set up in 2006 and has raised over $600 million (£472 million) to invest in startups, also backed Lilium in a smaller undisclosed round in June. Lilium said it intends to use the new money to expand its existing team of 35 aviation specialists and product engineers.

Other companies are also building personal planes but they're going about it in a different way. "Others are taking the concept of a drone and making it really big," said Zennström. "The problem with a drone is the propellers have to create lift all the time so it’s going to use a lot of electricity. But Lilium, they’re just using thrust to get it up and then it transitions to flight mode with the wings using much less energy. About the same as an electrical car. It's extremely energy efficient."

Lilium claims that its aircraft â€" powered by 36 directable electric fans, mounted along the wings and front pods â€" will be quieter than helicopters and other competitors, while also requiring less infrastructure.

Lilium CEO Daniel Wiegand said in a statement: "When we founded Lilium we had a single, simple goal â€" to design the best possible means of transportation for the 21st century. With our technology we can triple the radius of people’s lives while preserving our environment, avoiding congestion and eliminating the cost of infrastructure. We can also flexibly connect whole states to single metropolitan areas.

"A personal vertical take-off and landing aircraft has been the dream of generations. It is the ultimate means of transportation. Together with Atomico we share the vision to make this dream come true for everybody, in the form of the VTOL Lilium Jet."

This brings us to mind the case of congressman Jalosjos, who did not resign in the wake of a rape charge involving a minor.

hihihi. congressman mang rape. dios mio. ug ako maoy congressman, i can have all the chicks i want pinaagi sa pag pangulitaw. dili sa pag pang logos.

if i were digong, i will do everything in my power nga ma preso ni si de lima para naay sampol ba. nga tinod-anay jud ning ijang war on drugs. dili man hinoon ma dali dali ni kay everything has to go thru the rule of law.

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
