This is just a joke, but I think the person who really is obsessed on building an International Airport is the one who always remembers the word "Airport" when he looks himself at the mirror every morning.

I guess you are familiar with him.

It's gonna be UB's culmination party of its Diamond Jubilee celebration!

All alumni of the University of Bohol, formerly Rafael Palma College, will converge at the UB quadrangle on September 21, 2007 starting 7 p.m. to rock and party with songs and dances from the 50s to the present which became a part of the UBian's life from 1946 to 2006.

Dr. Carol Belarmino, Committee chair of the Diamond Jubilee program, extends the invitation to all those who walked through the corridors of UB/RPC.

Cheers to you all! ;D

Talk of the Town / Proposal: The Order of Tuasan Malea
September 08, 2007, 09:31:19 PM

The Order of Tuasan Malea will be for those individuals who have a knack of making things happen as intermediaries in negotiations.

Without Tuasan Malea, who acted as interpreter, the Blood Compact would not have happened.

#1315

We need to know more about Si Gala. I find his character fascinating, complex, textured. He was cautious but, in the end, also had a blood compact with Legaspi. But it is said he never had himself  baptized as a Roman Catholic... it is not sure if he embraced Christianity at all.

Accordingly, this is the reason why Spain gave more prominence to Si katuna because he was baptized in the faith of the white people.

#1316

From what  I remember from the previous pronouncements of our local officials, the airport in Panglao is actually a domestic airport with international standard. In other words, it is primarily for domestic flights but already capable of handling international flights, if there are any.

#1317

Remember Kevin Costner's movie FIELD OF DREAMS?

Voices have been telling him to build a baseball field in the middle of the cornfield. His friends thought he was going nuts but he did it anyway. And when it was done, the people came to play.

But that's just the movie...

Let's keep Bohol small in a big way

#1318

An international airport without international flights is good for Bohol.

It's consistent with Keeping Bohol small in a big way   ;D

That's why kinahanglan jud madayon ang broadband internet backbone to be provided by chinese company ZTE. With this, our senators will no longer rely on yahoo email. We will have our very own Philippine cyber-network infrastructure that no one can crack, except the Chines intelligence agency ;D

Poverty.

So long as there is poverty, the level of criminal activities will soar.

A place may progress and develop... but if there is still a class of citizen that goes to bed hungry, or have to suffer the chill of the night... there will be those who will be forced to turn to crime.

I'm not saying everyone who is poor is prone to have a criminal streak... There are rich people who do far worst that any ordinary criminal could do.

The point is:in a place where wealth is more or less equally distributed among the people, there is usually less crime.

Anger leads to hate
Hate leads to suffferinggg.

So, fight back we will!
Criminals we see, their blood we spill!

How To Tips / Re: AFTER ALL...

Dugay nakong pamalandong sa imong pangutana, Junayag, kapin sa usa ka semana ug karon pa jud ko maka-paambit sa ubos kong panahom:

Maybe, to most of us, we have faith on the inherent goodness of a person such that when we experience kindness we accept it as a matter of course especially when the person is very much around.  But when the person or gone -- either permanently or temporarily -- and we do not experience the same kind of kindness the person showed to us from the others who remained, it is at this point of sentimentality that we yearn and long for a repeat of the kindness shown.

Dagohoy, Ikaw ra ang among paglaum
Gamita imong kaisog ug gahum
Sama sa pakigbisog mo batok sa mga banyaga nga katsila
Sa mga tulisan karon panalipdi kamin'g mga timawa!

Dagohoy, Dagohoy
Ang imong dagon sa hoyohoy
Usa ka dakong tigmo
Nga ugma ra i-asoy

Anyway, I've also wanted a real reenactment of Sandugo. ;)  They need not drink the blood, I'd just like to see if politicians have the guts to draw their own blood.

Or maybe from each other's blood? ;)
