Dubai Expo 2020: All you need to know
It's the date everyone in the UAE is looking forward to, but what can we expect when October 20, 2020 rolls around? Let us explain

What is Expo?

It is a global destination for millions of people to share ideas, showcase innovation, encourage collaboration and celebrate human ingenuity. They are organised every five years and last for six months.

The first World Expo was held in 1851 at London's Crystal Palace and was known as The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations. It displayed about 100,00 objects showcasing the inventions from the industrial revolution.

Some of the amazing inventions which were first brought to the world at an expo include the telegraph in London in 1851, the typewriter in Philadelphia in 1876, the diesel engine in Paris in 1900, the colour TV in New York in 1964, IMAX film in Osaka in 1970, and wireless trams in Yeosu in 2012.

The most recent expo, which started in 2015, was held in Milan, Italy, under the theme of "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life". Inventions to come out of it include solar trees and energy saving elevators - something which would be useful in the UAE with all of the high-rise buildings.

How did Dubai win?

Ladies and gentlemen, Dubai wins." Those were the words in 2013 which brought about scenes of jubilation both in Paris at the general assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), the international organisation responsible for overseeing, regulating and selecting the candidate for the world fair, and in the UAE where residents were waiting for the outcome of the voting of the 164 nation members entitled to vote. Dubai won by a resounding majority with 116 votes, leaving Yekaterinburg, Russia, with only 47.

"I am proud of our teams who earned this victory for Dubai with two years of hard work, dedication and commitment," Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, said. "We renew our promise to astonish the world in 2020."

Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State and managing director of the Dubai World Expo 2020 bid committee, had earlier delivered an emotional speech to the BIE committee. She received resounding applause for her 20-minute presentation which contained videos on Dubai's strengths of diversity, infrastructure and stability.

When the victory announcement was made fireworks filled the sky in Dubai as they exploded out of the Burj Khalifa in front of thousands of smiling faces below. Sheikh Mohammed later announced a holiday for all educational institutions across the UAE.

After two years of hard work and planning, Dubai's bid to host Expo 2020 had reached 850 million people through social media, with none of the other contenders coming close according to Fisheye Analytics.

Mao ni among gi hulat ni tata epi. kay daghan kaajong dagkong negosyante mo bisita sa dubai for the expo. basin maka negotiate ta ug mga deals ba. i'm planning to simplify the business. dili na daghang suppliers. basin mag specialize na lang ko ug medical and dental supplies from 3M. unja from india kuhaon kay mo agi ug mas barato. the president of EM3 Int'l. is my wife maria rabanzo and the CEO is my nephew epifanio moncada III. EM3 Int'l. imports medical and dental supplies from suppliers around the world and distribute it to hospitals and clinics in the middle east.

thanks for reading

kadtong naka subay na sa ahong otography the one and only story of balong familiar na sa ahong kaagi. namat-an naho ang kahayag sa kalibotan thru the eyes of the very poor. but i did not know unsa ko ka pobre hangtod nga natilawan naho unsay kinabuhi sa datu. because right now i am living the life of a very rich man. ug unsay ahong gusto naa dayon. mo kaon ko sa kina mahalan nga restaurant mahimo kaayo. mahimo gihapon nga mokaon lang ko ug poso paresan ug ginamos. way problema. i am still a very simple man. mahimo ko ug mag amerkana mag coat and tie kong mo simba. mahimo lang gihapon ug plain polo shirt ug levi's ahong isol-ob. it is all the same to me. basta desente lang ang atong gisol-ob kong mo simba ta. naa goy sapatos kay lainaha man pod mag sinelas lang ka mo simba. mag hinagbo ta sa dalan you will not know that i am a multi millionaire in american dollars. kay lo-oy kaajo ko ug porma. kamoritsing lang gihapon. tag-as ug bongot. kay wa man jud ko ma usab. naay daghang mo asenso, mora na ug si kinsa. dili na kaantigo mo lingi sa mga pobre nga pareha nija sa wala pa pa mo asenso. what i am saying is very true indeed. pero ako wa jud ko ma usab. gikan sa pagka way nahot ug karon nga speaking dollars na ko, i am still the same humble aw hambogero diay nga tawo   hihihihi

grabe ning ahong mga estorya. dili katoohan. it's up to you reader to judge. nag istorya lang ko sa tinood, gamay nga tinood pakapinan ug daghang botbot. para mo lami ang story ba. di mo ganahan mo basa ug way lami ang estorya. but im pretty sure daghan mong mosubay niini. kay i fancy myself to be a storyteller. himasa man gud ko ug pocketbooks, polos action and adventure. pila ka libo ning ahong collection of books. mo palit ko ug brand new nga tag $20. mo palit pod ko ug 2nd hand nga book for $2. its all the same. kay ang libro di man jud ma daan.

so the appropriate title of this epic novel you are reading would be not the road to riches but

After four gruelling nights as a stowaway escaping the conflict in Palestine, 17-year-old Radwan Al Tamimi landed in a place where he would get a new chance and a new title – Bu Tafish.

"Sheikh Zayed named me Bu Tafish," says Mr Al Tamimi proudly.

"I prefer people calling me by that name. Do you know why he gave me that title? It's a long, long gone history."

Now 70, Bu Tafish admits that his memory is not what it was. But one event he recalls vividly is his first encounter with the founding father, Sheikh Zayed.

In the dining room of the restaurant on Abu Dhabi's Hamdan Street that carries his name, Bu Tafish pauses for a moment to collect his thoughts about his struggle to flee Palestine in the early 1950s and how he survived in a new land.

"I, along with other migrants, managed to escape Palestine," he says. "We met another 200 immigrants in Iraq and resumed the journey."

In those four harsh days and nights on a ship, all they could see was the sky and the ship, overloaded with people and cargo. "That's it," he recalls.

The journey seemed a matter of life and death. At the end of it, the teenager found himself in what seemed like a barren land, called Dubai.

There were only a few Gulf Arabs living in the city in those days. "The majority consisted of Iranians, Pakistanis, Bengalis, and Indians," he says.

Eventually he found a job as a delivery boy in a restaurant called Al Oumara. Shortly afterwards, he applied to work in Abu Dhabi.

A Jordanian businessman was recruiting people for his new restaurants in the capital. Back then, people needed a visa to work there, and Bu Tafish says he is a man who abides by the law.

Finally, his dream of working in the capital came true.

"I worked in Al Quds restaurant for another short term," he says.

"Then I thought of opening a small kiosk on the outskirts of the Corniche."

Little did he know that the mobile kiosk, attached to a tricyle, would be the starting point of a new journey.

Located in what was then called the Al Kaser area, next to a roundabout on what is today the site of the Etihad Towers complex, he furnished the enterprise with a few chairs and sun umbrellas.

"I used to sell coffee, tea, egg and jam sandwiches."

The Corniche was undergoing major construction at the time and so one day, Sheikh Zayed passed through the area and saw the young man selling from his kiosk.

"He stopped the vehicle and hopped out," says Bu Tafish. People flocked to greet the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Zayed shook hands with everyone. He was particularly inquisitive about the small business run by Bu Tafish.

"When His Highness approached to shake hands with me, I got really scared" he says with a laugh, admitting that he had begun the kiosk without seeking permission from the authorities.

At first he feared being reprimanded for running an illegal enterprise, but those first few moments with Sheikh Zayed were the start of a new chapter.

"Sheikh Zayed asked about my background," he says.

He told Sheikh Zayed that he was Palestinian and "tafish", someone who had grown so tired of problems in his homeland that he decided to leave.

His repeated use of the word inspired Sheikh Zayed to give him the nickname.

"Then the late father began to praise Palestine and spoke highly of it and its people. You know, the beautiful gems that fell from his mouth should have been written in gold letters. He was the epitome of humbleness."

Sheikh Zayed admired the idea of the kiosk, but thought the young man should think bigger.

"He advised me to expand the food chain and do something exceptional for Abu Dhabi," he says. "I promised to bring his vision to actuality."

Sheikh Zayed helped him with finances for the expansion, and gave him three days to turn his small business into something bigger. He ordered a licence to provide water and electricity to the young entrepreneur.

"Before departing, Sheikh Zayed told me he would visit me after three days to see if I had used the money wisely," he says.

"I kept the promise and began the expansion gradually with the help of other people."

Although three days was not quite long enough to fulfil such a big dream, Bu Tafish did win the admiration of Sheikh Zayed.

"I longed to establish a floating boat restaurant, which was popular in Egypt and Lebanon." he says. "I always asked God to help me start something similar."

In Jordan, he knew that floating restaurants did well on the Red Sea coast at Aqaba, attracting tourists. "I wanted to start a similar concept in Abu Dhabi."

The first restaurant he opened was called Sindbad the Sailor, in Al Bateen. Later, he changed the name to the Flower Beach Restaurant and then to Golden Beach.

None of the names were particularly popular, leaving him with another challenge to overcome. After two years, the owner of the building told him that it was time to pack up.

"I welcomed the news and did what I was ordered to do," he says.

In 1968, he decided to try again, calling his new restaurant Bu Tafish, the name he was known by. It was a turning point.

The authentic seafood dishes and the ambience attracted many leaders to his place, including Sheikh Zayed, a regular customer.

The Ruler also gave him the secret ingredients to perfect a popular Iraqi grilled fish dish called Masqoof.

"Sheikh Zayed was not only an expert on food, he was an expert on life," he says.

"Sheikh Zayed visited us frequently. He was a simple man. His favourite appetiser was Palestinian-style lemon juice. He would eat modestly and talk to people in a friendly manner."

On entering the Hamdan Street branch of Bu Tafish, the city's oldest seafood restaurant, diners get a feel of eating in a floating boat surrounded by maritime trappings.

Today there are five branches of Bu Tafish, including the recently opened branch in the newly revitalised Al Bateen Marina.

"You see Allah's power," he says. "I was ousted in Al Bateen decades ago. Look what Allah compensated me with. Bu Tafish is back to its birthplace."

"Praise Allah. I live a peaceful life. Whatever I have today is from Allah followed by my parents' prayers and Sheikh Zayed's support."

Asked about his success, he whispers: "Do you know I failed four times in Grade 1? Like people say in Palestine, something good came out of me."

Palestinian Radwan Al Tamimi, left, arrived in Dubai at the age of 17 and moved to Abu Dhabi, where he set up a seafood kiosk on the Corniche. One day Sheikh Zayed stopped by and encouraged him to take his dreams forward, giving the young entrepreneur a vision, money and a utilities licence. He also gave him a nickname, and so Bu Tafish went on to open a boat restaurant and a chain of restaurants in the city. Courtesy Bu Tafish

An indepth look at the Dh25 billion Sharjah Waterfront City.

'Sun Island' consists of 231 villas ranging between three, four, five, and six-bedrooms.
Phase 1 of the Dh25 billion Sharjah Waterfront City project is on track for completion, with the handover of 321 villa units scheduled for 2019.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday morning, officials from Sharjah Oasis Real Estate, the developer of the project, say that construction work is progressing steadily on 'Sun Island' - one of the eight natural islands that make up the 60 million square feet development. Phase 1 involves the completion and handover of 321 residential units ranging between three, four, five, and six-bedroom villas on Sun Island.

"More than 50 per cent of the units in Phase 1 have been sold, which is a reflection of the confidence that people have, not just in the development, but in the property sector in Sharjah," said Sultan Al Shakrah, chief executive officer of Sharjah Oasis Real Estate Co.

"After the launch of the first phase, we have quickly received some very good feedback from the market. Prices for the villas in Phase 1 of the project start from Dh2.5 million and go up to Dh8 million. Much of the investor demand right now comes from Emiratis, as well as from investors in KSA and the rest of the GCC, and Indians and Pakistanis."

Al Shakrah also said that the construction on the whole development will be completed in six phases, and that construction on the second phase will begin by the end of this year. Sharjah Waterfront City consists of eight natural islands connected to each other, and is a mixed-use development that includes villas, commercial units, shopping malls, a water park, hotels, and a marina. Phase 2 of the project will include the construction of several commercial units, as well as two hotels.

Completion of the whole project is currently estimated between 8-10 years, but the CEO clarified that market conditions were going to be a key factor. "However, we have a target of completing all the vital project infrastructure by 2021, because without the proper infrastructure in place there is no project."

Al Shakrah also highlighted how the property sector in Sharjah has been developing over the past 20 years.

"The good thing about the property market in Sharjah is that it is stable and we are fully supported by the government of the emirate as well as the private sector," he said. "We believe in having the right product at the right location. What is unique about this project is that it offers direct sea views; there are a limited number of projects in the UAE that offer such stunning beachside views."

He also noted how the project will ultimately help the emirate of Sharjah in achieving its tourism visitor target in the coming years.

"By way of hospitality offerings, we are also interested in bringing in four and three-star properties, in addition to our five-star offerings. We are also interested in developing resort and leisure offerings for visitors. The Crystal Lagoon water theme park is designed by Jack Rouse Associates, and will be bringing 38 rides that have never been seen before. Families that are interested in enjoying all the rides can expect to have 2-3 days of fun in the water park."

Currently, over Dh3 billion worth of infrastructure work has been completed on the project, including two power transmission and distribution plants, built with a cost of Dh250 million to ensure an uninterrupted supply of up to 700MW of electricity.

"I am pleased to announce the completion of Dh3 billion worth of infrastructure works within Sharjah Waterfront City, including the removal of 12 million cubic metres of sand to dig 3.5 metre deep canals with a width spanning between 100-300 metres to create eight islands within the landscape, that helped us to create 20 kilometres of new coastline and beachfront properties," said Sheikh Abdullah Al Shakrah, chairman of Sharjah Oasis Real Estate Co.

"As part of the infrastructure projects, we have moved and installed five million tonnes of rocks to create breakwater and marina quays and the protection of water channels, in addition to the construction of bridges, roads and power transmission and distribution plants, which cost Dh250 million," he said.

Mohamad Chadi Itani, media and marketing consultant at Sharjah Oasis Real Estate Development, noted that upon completion, the project will boast 1,500 villas and townhouses, 95 mid-rise and high-rise towers, 14 hotels and serviced apartments, and 800 berths for boats and luxury yachts in the marina.

"The 95 towers will be for residential and commercial use," he revealed. "The 14 hotels will be a mixture of four and five-star properties located along the beaches. We have signed a joint venture with Dusit, as well as with Kempinski for two of the hotel properties. There has also been a great amount of interest from various schools, universities, and hospital groups in the development."

"In terms of population, we expect to see up to 150,000 people in the area including residents and visitors," he added. "The development is like a small, self-sustaining city by itself. There are going to be three shopping malls, one of which will be one of the biggest in the emirates and offer a unique mixture of retail, leisure, F&B, and entertainment offerings."

The shopping mall will not only serve the residents of the community, but also visitors from the rest of the emirate and neighbouring emirates such as Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. The developer also has plans for an internal tram network that will provide an easy access for residents and visitors. Entertainment and leisure offerings are also expected to bring in visitors from the neighbouring emirates such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Officials at Oasis Real Estate say that they are already in talks with the Dubai RTA to provide water taxis that will ferry visitors between the two emirates.

Harden has first 60-point triple-double in NBA history
By KRISTIE RIEKEN | AP Sports Writer

Jan. 31, 2018 12:15 AM ET

HOUSTON (AP) James Harden knew he'd have to do a little more on Tuesday night with the Houston Rockets missing key players.

Even he couldn't have imagined he'd do this much.

Harden became the first player in NBA history to score 60 points as part of a triple-double and the short-handed Rockets beat the Orlando Magic 114-107.

''I just gave it all I had tonight,'' Harden said. ''We all did. We all fought for 48 minutes, we got key stops when we needed to and we made big shots.''

Harden scored 18 points in the fourth quarter to eclipse the 57 points Calvin Murphy scored in 1978 to break Houston's single-game scoring record. After Harden broke the record, cameras in the arena showed a shot of Murphy, who works on the television broadcast team, smiling and clapping for the Beard, who also had 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

The game was tied at 107 after a basket by Marreese Speights with just under four minutes to play. Neither team scored for more than two minutes after that before Harden took over, scoring the next six points to make it 113-107 with 45 seconds left.

He set the scoring mark when he stepped back and made a 3-pointer before crashing to the court after being fouled by Mario Hezonja. He then made the free throw to give him 60 points and bringing the crowd to its feet.

''Amazing (and) topped it off with a four-point play at the end,'' coach Mike D'Antoni said. ''But we had to have every minute from him.''

Harden, who also had four steals and a block, grabbed his 10th rebound a few seconds later to give him his third triple double this season. He made 17 of 18 free throws and was 19 of 30 from the floor with five 3 pointers.

He said he didn't realize he was the first player with 60 points in a triple-double.

''It's a good feeling, I guess,'' he said. ''Just try to go out there and make an impact every single night on the game, however I can. Whether it's scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, whatever it is. And tonight I guess I was doing everything.''

Hezonja and Speights scored 17 points each for the Magic, who dropped their third straight.

The Rockets started the game without Chris Paul, who has a sore groin, and Trevor Ariza, who is dealing with a strained hamstring. They lost another player when Eric Gordon, who is second on the team in scoring with 19.5 points a game, left early in the second quarter with lower back stiffness.

''I looked at coach and said: `Eric can't go,''' Harden said ''He said go get `em and after that I didn't come out of the game.''

Harden's big night came as he played 46 minutes and 26 seconds, which was a career-high for a regulation game, with Houston missing so many players.

''I was shocked to see that,'' Speights said of Harden not getting worn out by playing so many minutes. ''He didn't really get subbed out and that shows the growth in his game and the maturity in his game.''

It was his fourth 50-point game this season and Tuesday's performance bested his previous career-high of 56 points set in November against Utah.

''I have never seen a performance like that,'' teammate Gerald Green said. ''I caught myself just being a true fan throughout the whole game ... what he did today was remarkable.''

Orlando led by two points with about 9 1/2 minutes left before the Rockets used a 10-4 run to make it 101-97 with about seven minutes to go. Harden made two 3-pointers in that stretch, and wowed the crowd on the second one that he came as the shot clock was about to expire and with Shelvin Mack right in his face.

Houston didn't lead for long though, as Speights was fouled while making a 3-pointer and added the free throw to tie it seconds later.

The Magic had a 2-point lead with about 5 1/2 minutes left before Houston used a 6-2 run, with all its points from Harden, to take a 107-105 lead with about four minutes left.

Harden piled up 16 points in the first quarter and had 24 by halftime despite his early 3-point shooting woes. Orlando led 55-54 at halftime.

TIP-INS

Magic: Aaron Gordon missed the game with an injury to his left hip that he suffered on Saturday night. He will likely sit out Wednesday as well. ... Simmons and Mack added 15 points each.

Rockets: Ariza injured his left hamstring on Sunday. ... Coach Mike D'Antoni said he doesn't expect Paul to miss much time with his injury. ... Clint Capela finished with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

THEY SAID IT

Magic coach Frank Vogel on Harden's performance: ''That was a heck of a performance when your second, third and fourth options are out. He's likely the MVP of this year's season. He did what he had to do to get a win.

LOVE FROM LEBRON

Cleveland star LeBron James gave Harden some love on Twitter after the game , tweeting in part: ''That's insane G! 60 point Triple Dub. Sheesh!!!'' The four-time MVP added five fire emojis after his comment to show how impressed he was with Harden's game.

Trade talks are starting to pick up with the NBA trade deadline just a month away, and in the thick of several of those conversations will be the Los Angeles Lakers, who are expected to aggressively try and clear space for one or two star free agents this upcoming summer.

The Lakers, namely Magic Johnson, have made their intentions clear since before the season tipped off in late-September. Perhaps a little bit too clear, as their ambitious claims reportedly caused problems in the Lakers' locker room, to the point where the team had to have an "air it out" meeting. You know, like all teams do in the middle of the season!

It's clear players don't feel confident about their future with the team, and according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, they have every right to feel that way, especially for three young players.

In his latest for ESPN, Wojnarowski says the Lakers have "made it clear that Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and Larry Nance are available," even saying there is "mutual desire" between Clarkson and the front office to get a deal done before the end of the season.

Wojnarowski also reiterates past reports that the Lakers have given up on trading Luol Deng, as it would likely cost young players, draft pick or some combination of both.

It's understandable why Clarkson would want a trade sooner rather than later. Clarkson has never played postseason basketball, and with his 26th birthday coming up this summer, he might want to spend his prime years on a playoff contender.

The challenge now is finding a team willing to take on the final two years of his four-year, $50 million deal, but he's shown growth as a legitimate scoring guard off the bench.

Clarkson and Randle are the Lakers' longest tenured players, followed by Larry Nance Jr. and Ivica Zubac. With the front office hungry for cap space, it wouldn't be surprising to see all four on a different team come next season.

Health and Food / Church cures cancer
January 28, 2018, 05:35:02 AM

It's difficult to say what was in worse shape: the run-down century-old church or the cancer-stricken 56-year-old man sat on its crumbling steps. For many years, Greg Thomas would sit on these steps and pray when he walked his dogs along the country lanes in rural Minnesota. However, in May 2009, he found out that the searing earaches, headaches, and jaw aches that had plagued him for 12 months were due to inoperable head and neck cancer. In fact, it had progressed so far that doctors had told Greg's family to plan his funeral.

Greg was sitting on the church steps one evening when he decided he would like to do one last thing for the Lord. This something was to fix the peeling paint, the leaking roof, the mangled steps, and the rotting floorboards. He approached the church's association with a deal: He would repair the building if he got a key to the front door so that he could go in and worship whenever he liked. He warned them that it would be slow going as he had just undergone three rounds of chemotherapy along with 40 sessions of radiation. They agreed to his deal anyway.

Incredibly, as Greg scraped off old paint and replaced boards, he felt himself growing stronger each day. The more he worked, the better he felt – he didn't even need to use the strong prescription drugs that his doctor had prescribed to him.

As Greg continued to fix the church, medical scans revealed some shocking, but very good, news: His tumors were shrinking. Four years and 23 days after his diagnosis, doctors were able to remove his feeding tube – the one they said he would have for the rest of his life. Today, Greg's tumors are completely gone. He is now in remission and no longer needs any follow-up tests.

And the church? After five years of Greg's labor and love, it has been restored to it past glory. Greg finished his main project this summer, but he will always be involved in maintaining its beauty. Greg believes that while he was restoring the church, God was restoring him.

It exports finished diamonds to no less than 50 countries around the world, and it has affiliates based in the USA, Belgium, the UAE, Hong Kong and China.

Mr. Dholakia started out in the diamond industry when he dropped out of school at age 13 and joined his uncle's diamond business. He then started his own diamond firm with his brothers, Himmat and Tulsi, in 1984, before setting up HK Exports in 1992.

Almost a quarter of a century later, HK Exports is considered to be one of the top 5 diamond companies in the world, achieving many prestigious awards for outstanding performance.

During the past three years, Mr. Dholakia has given away in excess of $8 million to some of his 6,000 employees as a reward for successfully meeting targets. In 2014, he gave away 491 Fiat Punto cars, 525 pieces of diamond jewelry and 200 apartments

In 2015, some 1,268 employees received gifts from their boss, but he managed to top his two previous acts of generosity in 2016 when he gave away no less than 400 apartments and 1,260 cars!
In addition, there's no sign of this stopping, as Mr. Dholakia has announced his intention to provide housing and transportation to every single one of his employees over the next five years.

Befittingly for such acts of generosity, Mr. Dholakia holds his big award ceremonies to coincide with the Hindu festival of Diwali, which is symbolic of the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil and hope over despair.

12 Reasons to Make Love More Often

The act of procreation is both important and enjoyable, but according to several recent studies, it also has quite a few health benefits. Here are 12 reasons why you should be having relations on a more regular basis.

1. Orgasms increase the blood flow to the whole brain, making it a better mental exercise than a crossword puzzle.2. Intercourse causes the brain to release a steroid called DHEA – a main contributor to staying young. Couples who engage in relations 3 times a week look 10 years younger on average.

2. Intercourse causes the brain to release a steroid called DHEA – a main contributor to staying young. Couples who engage in relations 3 times a week look 10 years younger on average.

3. Intercourse can help relieve period symptoms, thanks to the muscle contractions that occur during an orgasm. Furthermore, researchers from Columbia and Stanford found that women who have intercourse at least once a week enjoy more predictable cycles.

4. According to Women's Health Magazine, vaginal stimulation can relieve chronic back pains, leg pains, headaches and migraines.

5. The Lifestyle Mirror recently interviewed Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, who said that "Regular love making increases blood flow and decreases stress hormones in the body, and those stress hormones wreak havoc on the skin."

6. Having intercourse in the morning was found to boost both our mood and our immune system.

7. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, people who engage in penile-vaginal intercourse enjoy much lower blood pressure.

8. After intercourse, the level of oxytocin (the "love hormone") in men is elevated. Men with elevated oxytocin levels are less likely to "stray", which means that having relations literally makes men stay in a relationship.

9. Men who ejaculate more often are less likely to develop prostate cancer.

10. Intercourse boosts the levels of immunoglobulin – an antibody that protects us from the common cold and the flu.

11. Love making burns calories like a moderate exercise session. For every minute spent 'doing it', men burn 4 calories and women burn 3.

12. According to Dr. Joseph Mercola, men who have relations on a regular basis are 45% less likely to develop life-threatening heart conditions.

These Facts About Intercourse Make For An Interesting Read

I've heard many an intercourse fact in my life, but these less talked about ones made for a very fascinating read! From clearing up myths, to finding out the most  and least sexually active nations on earth, we guarantee that these 16 lesser-known coitus facts will amuse and intrigue you in equal measure:

1. Vibrators Weren't Invented for Sexual pleasure
They were invented in the 19th century to "reduce hysteria". The very first vibrator was steam-powered.

2. 300,000,000/1 Sperm Ratio
While the average healthy man has some 300 million sperm in just a teaspoon of semen, it takes just one sperm to fertilize a woman's egg.

3. Women Have More of it
According to a study, women have 17% more intercourse than men do.

4. Orgasms Lower Risk of Illness in Women
Scientific studies have shown that orgasms can lower the risk of heart disease, strokes, breast cancer and depression in women.

5. Burn Those Calories
Every 30 minutes of active intercourse burns around 200 calories in men and around 70 calories in women.

6. Responses to Intercourse Are in the Brain
Sexual stimulation of different areas of the body produces arousal in different areas of the brain.

7. Wonder Why It Can Be Difficult To Go To the Bathroom Right After intercourse?
The body releases antidiuretic hormone after orgasm, which inhibits the ability to urinate

8. Conceiving is More Difficult Than You Think
A woman usually only releases one egg per month.

9. Let's Talk About Sex
A study has found that people who talk openly about having relations actually have better sex lives than those that don't.

10. Sexy Food
Apparently some people feel a similar sense of arousal to thinking about intercourse when thinking about food.

11. Body Image is Important
Individuals with good body image have better intercourse than those who suffer with their body image, according to a study.

12. No Pain, No Gain
A person's ability to withstand pain is significantly higher during a state of arousal.

13. There is no Correlation Between Shoe Size and Penis Size
Contrary to popular belief, it's not actually possible to estimate how well-endowed a man is by looking at his shoe size.

14. Your Nostrils Swell During Sex
Your nostrils increase in size during sex, just as breasts and genitals do due to increased blood flow.

15. Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough
One-third of women above the age of 80 are still sexually active.

16. Most and Least Sexually Active Nations
Greek couples have intercourse 138 times per year on average, making them the most sexually active in the world. Japanese couples are the least sexually active, having intercourse 45 times per year on average.

Inspiration & Hope / Ask yourself four questions

Ask yourself four questions
There are four important questions that you should ask yourself in life:

1. Do I have my family?

2. Do I have good health?

3. Do I have food to eat?

4. Do I have shelter?

These are the only things that really matter. You would really have a problem if any of these things came into question. Everything else is secondary.

She gave a little cry, "Oh" of surprise and just the tiniest moment of discomfort and he paused for a second and she groaned, imploringly. "Don't stop!"
He thrust even deeper inside her, and then again and again, and she couldn't think anymore, but was just a mass of sensations, inside her, outside, touch, smell, taste, sound and of course the sight of his own ecstasy on his face. She was utterly helpless and her only desire was for him to consume her, take her, break down the barrier between her body and his until they were just fused together in one being. Now he groaned, a deep guttural, animal expression of pleasure and the intensity and desperation of his movements increased still further. She knew thwt he was feeling it too, this unbearable intensity of excitement, and she suddenly realized that she was moaning and screaming and she just didn't care because because her entire existence was focused on the joy of this mutual possession, the two of them and then she reached the top of the wave and the wave crashed down and it was like an explosion, an earthquake, an eruption and she felt him come inside her and knew that he had felt it too. "OH God.......oh God....." she gasped.

She was wearing a pair of French camiknickers in pale peach silk, trimmed with lace, and now his hand was running over the soft leathery fabric, over the hot wetness between her legs and she pushed herself against his  hands, making her hunger obvious, glorying in her shamelessness. Now his fingers were inside the elasticated waistband of her knickers, easing them down over her bottom, running over her skin as they went, and tugging them over her hips and now she didn't need any help from his hand because she could let them fall down her legs to the floor and step out of them, and while she was doing that, and the kissing was still not stopping and her head was still caught in his grasp, he was undoing the front of his trousers and she could feel him against her and his fingers sliding up and down and into her. She felt as though she were being lifted up and up and up, like a boat riding to the top of a wave, but never getting there because the wave kept growing and growing. Except the wave was inside her, that feeling of pleasure building and building, that longing for release. And suddenly he had let go of her hair and his hand had left her crotch, but she could still feel him there. Now his hands were going behind her back and around her bottom and he suddenly lifted her up, so that she had to wrap her arms around his neck to cling on and he was lifting her, like the wave lifting her and then bringing her down and he was in her and the heat of him, the size of him, filling her up from within was like no feeling she had ever known.

She walked slowly and steadily, just in case anyone should be watching, until she got to his room. The door was very slightly ajar. She pushed it open and there he was. He kicked the door closed as he took her in his arms and kissed her, hard, not hesitating for a single second.
Saffron gave a muffled moan as their mouths locked together. His lips and his tongue were strong and assertive, as though they were taking possession of her, and she yielded to him, giving herself without restraint, exploring his body and his face with her hands, taking in the man smell of him, pressing herself against him and thrilling to the sure sign of his arousal.  She has been kissed before, but it had not excited her. She had felt a man's erection before, but just felt amusement, embarrasment or repulsion. She had ridden all her life and did not need to be told about the delicious, tingly, melty feeling of having an an animal between her thighs or rubbing her crotch against the saddle.
But this was totally different. This was raw, animal passion and she knew that she had provoked that feeling in him too, and that sense of achievement, of power over him only aroused her all the more.
They had barely got more than a couple of steps into the room, but neither of them could even wait to get to the bed. He shoved her up against the wall and, still kissing her, pulled her hat from ger head, and threw it to the floor. She gave a shake of a head to release her hair and he ran his fingers through it and then clenched his fist, grabbing a handful. She moved her head and that pulled at her hair and made it hurt a little so she tried to shake free, but she didn't want to succeed and he didn't let her. Now his other hand lifted her skirt with practiced dexterity. She lifted her bottom  forward away from the wall to make it easier for him and the higher the fabric rose and the more exposed and utterly vulnerable she felt, the more excited she became.

Inspiration & Hope / GOD's Phone Number
December 21, 2017, 09:21:18 PM
Hello God.

I called tonight to talk a little while
I need a friend who will listen to my anxiety and trial
You see, I can't quite make it through a day just on my own
I need your love to guide me
So I'll never feel alone.

I want to ask you to keep my family safe and sound
Come and fill their lives for whatever fate they are bound

Give me faith dear GOD to face each hour through the day
And not to worry about things I cannot change in any way

I thank you GOD for being home and listening when I call
For giving me such good advice when I stumble and fall

Your number GOD is the only one that answers every time
I never get a busy signal, I never had to pay a dime

So thank you GOD for listening to my troubles nd my sorrow
Good night GOD, I love you too and I'll call again tomorrow

Faithfully,
Bals

"When we first said hello, the way you looked at me, the things it did to me....you could have had me there and then."

"I'm going to have you now," Leon said. He led her back up the beach to where the sand was dry. Then he took off his coat, placed on the ground and she lay down upon it.

"Christ!" he muttered, placing himself on top of her. "I'ts bloody cold, I might get frostbite on my cock."

She gave a low purring laugh. "Silly man. Why don't you put it somewhere hot?"

He reached down and she opened her legs and lifted her bottom off the ground so that he could tug her skirt up around her hips and pull her knickers down her legs. She kicked them off and his hand felt for the soft, hot, wet, yielding core of her. Then it was her turn to feel for his fly buttons and the slit in his underpants and then she had him in his hands and he sprang free from the clothes that had confined him and she guided him into her, groaning with pleasure as she took him again.

Now he didn't give a damn about the cold. He couldn't care less that they were right out in the open. All Leon cared about was his love and his desire for his woman. He wanted her to feel it and know it in ways that went far beyond words. He wanted her to take pleasure in him and from him and his whole being was focused on her,all his senses alert to every sound, every movement he made. He kissed her and the boundaries between them blurred, joining as one to create something entirely new.She was his woman now and they would never be divided.

"Marry me,"he said. "Please,I beg you. Marry me."

"OH GOD." she moaned. "Yes" and then, her voice rising with every repitition. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!"
