The name of the Ganges is known all throughout the land of India.
This river that runs for 1,560 miles from the Himalayas all the way to the Bay of Bengal is more than just flowing water.
This river is life, purity, and a goddess to the people of India. The river is Ganga Ma, "Mother Ganges."
Her name and her story is known all throughout the land. It is the story of how she poured herself down from
heaven upon the ashes of King Sarga's sons.
Her waters would raise them up again to dwell in peace in heaven.
Not only that, but anyone who touches these purifying waters even today are said to be cleansed of all sins.

Mao na bisan hugaw tua sila  langoy, sawom,  bisan naay  udlon nga lata nga patay igtunga,  mao na ilang relihiyon.. :o

(EIM)(BANATNEWS)

April 29, 2011, 10:27:09 AM

This polyphemus moth caterpillar  is large, up to three inches, it belongs to a group called the giant silkworms.
The adult polyphemus moth is large and fairly attractive, though it's not in the same league as some of the other
giant silkworm moths such as the luna moth, cecropia moth or promethea moth.
An attempt was made to create a silk industry from these American species, but it didn't work out because the Asian silkworm does a better job.

The polyphemus moth looks pretty alien, with its head partly drawn into the first section of its body, and that crazy looking face and claws.
Their behavior can be pretty strange too, they sometimes make a snapping noise with their mandibles and other
polyphemus moth caterpillars in the area will join in.

Although it's cute by itself, with up to 350 brothers and sisters all voraciously eating away they can strip whole trees at a rapid rate.
They construct a giant silk "tent" for themselves in the fork of a tree, which protects them from predators and acts as a hothouse when it's cold.

This eastern comma might not be pretty, but it has a good chance of winning the "spiniest caterpillar of northern Illinois" contest.
It gets its name from the comma shape on the back of the hind wing of the adult butterfly.

Here's the larva of one of America's most beautiful butterflies, the common buckeye.
The caterpillar isn't bad either; if viewed with the light at the correct angle those spines along its back are dark metallic blue.
Despite their vicious appearance, the spines aren't harmful to the touch, which is just as well because even its head is covered in them.

Here's one of the nicest looking caterpillars in the Northern Illinois area, the caterpillar of the brown hooded owlet moth.
As with most moths, this caterpillar is usually much better looking than the adult.
Sometimes the bright colors are a warning to birds that the caterpillar is toxic because of the plants it's been eating.

Reporting from Tuscaloosa, Ala.â€"
A deadly storm front pummeled Alabama and at least four other Southern states, spawning tornadoes and leaving officials on
Thursday facing a climbing death toll, major property destruction and an intense search-and-rescue effort.

The number of deaths hit 131 in Alabama alone, with loss of life in Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia
bringing the preliminary total to about 200. That number is expected to rise, officials said.

"We had a major catastrophic event in Alabama," Gov. Robert Bentley said in a telephone news conference.
Also attending was Craig Fugate, head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, who will be traveling to the region later on Thursday.

"We have major destruction and 131 confirmed fatalities," Bentley said. "We do expect that number to rise today, we're sure it will."

Bentley said that between half a million and 1 million people in Alabama were without power and that there were
numerous injuries, especially in Tuscaloosa, which seems to be among the hardest hit areas in the state. A nuclear power plant was shut down in Alabama.

Bentley said that he had relatives in Tuscaloosa who had survived the storm's onslaught.

"The family came through OK," he told reporters, "but I'm concerned with everyone's family."

Fugate said the scale of the damage was enormous, approaching the days of early April 1974, when more than 300 died from storms.

The extent of the current toll was difficult to confirm, and officials were careful to avoid citing a specific number
while rescue efforts were underway in individual states. But so far, Mississippi officials reported 32 dead, Tennessee
raised its report to 14, Georgia reported 11 and Virginia said it had eight deaths. All of the states declared states of emergency.

The latest storm began Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla.,
said it received 137 reports of tornadoes, 66 from Alabama and 38 from Mississippi.

Bentley said Alabama residents were prepared for the storms, but the violent weather moved into the region
too quickly and forcefully to make evacuation effective.

"It was just the force of the storm," the governor told reporters. "It's hard to move that many people."

Alabama will seek expedited federal assistance, he said.

President Obama declared a state of emergency for Alabama on Wednesday night. About 1,400 National
Guard soldiers were being deployed around the state.

"Our hearts go out to all those who have been affected by this devastation, and we commend the heroic efforts
of those who have been working tirelessly to respond to this disaster," Obama said.

One of the hardest-hit areas was Tuscaloosa, a city of more than 83,000 and home to the University of Alabama.
The city's police and other emergency services were devastated, Mayor Walter Maddox said.
At least 15 people were killed, and a single hospital reported about 100 injured.

Maddox took to the airwaves Thursday morning, describing a city as shell-shocked as any place that had been under a bombing.
Maddox said his city needed supplies, including fresh water and clothes, and that recovery will take weeks, if not months.

Television images Thursday morning showed parts of the city with buildings that were reduced to skeletons.

Little bloating after a big meal is an occupational hazard for pythons,
but this unfortunate creature found itself unable to slink away and sleep it off.

In fact, after swallowing a pregnant sheep, it couldn't move at all.
Firemen in the Malaysian village of Kampung Jabor, about 190km east of
Kuala Lumpur, easily caught it after it was spotted on a road.

Guisborough mum Anthea Harrison, 36, told how she may have eaten human flesh while living in Zambia.
She rang up TFM after presenter Graham Mack invited listeners to describe the most unusual thing they
had ever eaten during a discussion about TV show I’m A Celebrity Get me Out Of Here.

The mom-of-two, who gave only her first name, phoned in claiming “I’ve eaten human being,” leaving the breakfast DJ stunned.
She said on air: “When I was a child we lived in Africa and we always went to the same butcher.
We were there a couple of years and the meat started getting so much better.
“It was only after we moved back to England a couple of years later we realized the butcher had been arrested.
He was killing little black girls and selling the meat.”

"..and the evening and morning were the first day"..Genesis 1:5
The Jews count the day starting at 6PM to the morning, the  crucifixion of the Lord Jesus was
the fulfillment of the scripture; He was buried and rose  on the third day.

Nisan 14- the Lord's Passover (Israel's Passover Preparation Day) Exo 12:1-6
Tuesday -6PM (first watch) Jesus observed Passover in the upper room with His apostles (John 1:29)
Tuesday -9PM (second watch) Jesus arrested and taken to Caiphas to be judged (Mat 26:57)
Tuesday -12 midnight (third watch) Jesus was  judged and found guilty of blasphemy by the Sanhedrin  (Mat 26:59, 65, 66)
Wednesday -6AM (first hour) Jesus taken to Pilate at Anthony's Tower to be judged and sentenced (Mat 27:1, 2, 33-35)
Wednesday -9AM (third hour) Jesus nailed to the cross (Mat 27:33-35)
Wednesday - 12 noon : darkness over the Earth to the ninth hour (Mark 15:33)
Wednesday -3PM (ninth hour) Jesus died and gave up the Ghost (Mat 27:50)

Nisan 15 -Israel Passover Day -First Day of Unleavened Bread (Lev 23)
Wednesday -6PM Jesus's body placed in the tomb (Mat 27:57, 60)
Wednesday -6PM to 6PM Thursday: Jesus body was in the tomb-one night and one day (24 hours)

Nisan 16- Second day of Unleavened bread
Thursday -6PM to 6PM Friday: Jesus body lay in the tomb for second night and second day (total now 48 hours)

Nisan 17 -third day of Unleavened bread -Jewish Sabbath
Friday -6PM to 6PM Saturday:Jesus body lay in the tomb for third night and third day (total now 72 hours)
"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be
three days and three nights in the heart of the earth" (Jonah 1:17, Matthew 12:40)

Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on the eve of Nisan 9 because He came to fulfill the Father's will that He be the Lamb of God
who would take away the sins of the world.
Lambs chosen for Passover must be separated from parents for seven days before the day of preparation.
Jesus was anointed by Mary on Nisan 10 for His death, because a sacrificial lamb must be chosen (anointed) on this day,
        four days before the Passover.
Nisan 10 the year Christ was crucified was indicated to be Saturday sabbath, four days later on Wednesday, Jesus was crucified. (John 19:31)

Jesus not only must have fulfilled every specific prophecy, but also every example and type,
else He could not have been the Messiah.
