BIB now on TBTK. Thanks

http://tigumbolanontibuokkalibutan.blogspot.com/

What is BIB (Bohol Interactive Blog)?

According to my thesaurus:

bib [bib] (plural bibs)

n

1.  protective clothing: a small piece of material fastened under a child's chin to protect the clothing while eating
2.  part of garment: the front part of a pinafore, apron, or pair of overalls that covers the chest

[Late 16th century. Probably < bib "drink frequently" < Latin bibere "to drink"]

somebody's best bib and tucker somebody's finest clothes (informal)

So if somebody would like to expound or do a write up on BIB, these ideas will be good departure points. Something like... e.g., BIB, Bohol's newest "protective clothing and fastener"... intent on bringing together a unified Boholano blogs all over the world, a one-stop pit (station) for all your blogging experience. A virtual park where home-sweet-home Bohol is only a click away... etc   ;) ;) ;)

Yes, I don't quite get your drift when you say they are "pre-made" when they are all using Minima.  Please, enlighten me.

When I say "pre-made" it has nothing to do with minima or what-have-you. I don't know how else to explain.

Normally when I start a blog, I decide early how many pages would be on it and I make the pages at the same time (for the sake of looks) and uniformity of the URL (they only differ in numbers) at the very beginning. Let's say, if I want to create a 60 page-blog, I'll create the first 60 pages at one time (with a URL of my choosing, e.g. song title or a page number). Then after I created the pages, I'll put contents. That's what I meant by "pre-made." In other words, it's not blogging/writing/posting as one goes along like many would do.

SO... if I write a new blog, update or change a page's content... the date of update won't even register as new update because the URL or pages had already been pre-determined since the start. So mora lang gehapog wa mag update even though there's a constant change in content. (e.g., http://tagbilarancitydreampoetry.blogspot.com/). So, how would you determine if that particular blog has updated or not, unless your monitoring them? No way, di ba?

On the other hand, since I'm song blogging most of the time, then pages normally don't change as they are on a permanent basis presentation... not unless a new song is being posted. (See http://christianartsongs.blogspot.com/)... so hardly any update is possible here, but that doesn't mean a dead blog at all. Another example is the T.B.T.K. which is a triennial event (occuring only every three years!) but that doesn't make it a dead blog either... if not updated every month or so. (See http://tigumbolanontibuokkalibutan.blogspot.com/).  And yet it's still a reputable Bol-anon blog... esp. during reunion time!!!

I'm not trying to critique what you're trying to do here for the sake of plain critiquing. In fact, I'm giving you food for thoughts because I want you to be successful... because your idea (like I said many times) is very good and noble. So please don't take it personally. I understand clearly about filtering spams or phishing sites (that's a no-brainer), but the many Boholano-handled sites you were trying to invite to take part of your sojourn... that's what I want you to encourage to include (or not miss out). Don't limit them because of some "rule" (not about spamming/phishing ones)... that you're still trying to decide on, e.g. frequency of updates.

@jig

yes, this may vary but at least once a month naay post but basta naa lay signs nga buhi pa ang blog. hehe. one post every other month ba kaha. lisud pud kaau kung one year na nilabay den wa jud new post.  Yes, kung dili original ang mga articles at least naay source credits and respect copyrights.  Anyway, these are just filters and once they are on Bohol Interactive Blog it's impossible for me to go over all the blogs to see that they're updated.

Thanks.  Will revise some of the rules then.

All my blogs are constantly upated... but YOU WILL NEVER EVER notice them when they are updated... Why? Because all my pages were pre-designed (pre-made) when I first made my blogs (because I was after a certain look). Some pages are still empty because that's the way they are intended (for future blog item updates). Therefore, even if I update the content of a certian page now, it will never appear as newly updated. (Because they were pre-designed when the blog was first created). You get my drift? Probably not.

So just like you said, the moment they become linked to your blog... it becomes impossible for you to monitor who updated or not. But who says that is your job? You're only a "hub" (a focal point, a center, the middle, the heart, etc). Your job - if it is a job - is to gather as much or  many blogs that you know to be Boholano-handled. That simple.

So be it!!! (Be a hub... it's a great idea, pero ajaw pag pili-pili hahaha)

Coz if not, kung binisay-on pa nato, ajaw na lang pag alig2x ug tawag sa imong kaugalingong blog ug "Bohol Interactive" (more like a "Bohol Interlink") Blog coz anybody can easily do it. To get bloggers interested or buy sa imong idea (or at least read the post here at TB) is enough challenge... ajaw sa gam-ig rules that would limit you're ability to become a centre. Because you'll never become one, if you do so.

I hope these thoughts help a bit...

Note: I support what you do because you have a very good and noble idea. That is empowering. Besides tambal sa kamingaw. I give you my ten cent worth (suggestions) because I only want to help... I hope you consider this as a constructive one.

What's interactive about this blog, if I may ask? All I see are linkages to the different blogs and other sites... with a new design.
Other sites and blogs have that as well (like Bohol Business Directories). My blogs have the same intent (but I choose to limit them to my other blogs because they tend to clutter up). And here I'm hearing you're limiting them to those that measure up to your rules?
Then why make a blog that claim "Bringing Boholanos Closer Online" when you're really "filtering" blogs that measure up according to your like or preferences? You can't really pick and choose as I joked on my previous post... if you are to grow as a hub for Boholano bloggers. You might miss on half of them that don't live up to your so-called rules.

Just a thought for you to ponder... as you continue your young journey!!!  ;)

History of Easter Prayers

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resource.php?n=1107

Easter, the principal festival of the Christian church year, celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his Crucifixion. The origins of Easter date to the beginnings of Christianity, and it is probably the oldest Christian observance after the Sabbath (originally observed on Saturday, later on Sunday). Later, the Sabbath subsequently came to be regarded as the weekly celebration of the Resurrection. Meanwhile, many of the cultural historians find, in the celebration of Easter, a convergence of the three traditions - Pagan, Hebrew and Christian.

According to St. Bede, an English historian of the early 8th century, Easter owes its origin to the old Teutonic mythology. It was derived from the name Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, to whom the month of April was dedicated. The festival of Eostre was celebrated at the vernal equinox, when the day and night gets an equal share of the day.

The English name "Easter" is much newer. When the early English Christians wanted others to accept Christianity, they decided to use the name Easter for this holiday so that it would match the name of the old spring celebration. This made it more comfortable for other people to accept Christianity. But it is pointed out by some that the Easter festival, as celebrated today, is related with the Hebrew tradition, the Jewish Passover. This is being celebrated during Nisan, the first month of the Hebrew lunar year. The Jewish Passover under Moses commemorates Israel's deliverance from about 300 years of bondage in Egypt. It was in during this Passover in 30 AD Christ was crucified under the order of the Roman governor Pontius Pilate as the then Jewish high priests accused Jesus of "blasphemy". The resurrection came three days later, on the Easter Sunday. The early Christians, many of them being brought up in Jewish tradition regarded Easter as a new feature of the Pascha (Passover). It was observed in memory of the advent of the Messiah, as foretold by the prophets. And it is equanimous with the proclamation of the resurrection. Thus the early Christian Passover turned out to be a unitive celebration in memory of the passion-death-resurrection of Jesus. However, by the 4th century, Good Friday came to be observed as a separate occasion. And the Pascha Sunday had been devoted exclusively to the honor of the glorious resurrection.

Throughout the Christendom the Sunday of Pascha had become a holiday to honor Christ. At the same time many of the pagan spring rites came to be a part of its celebration. May be it was the increasing number of new converts who could not totally break free of the influence of pagan culture of their forefathers.

But despite all the influence there was an important shift in the spirit. No more glorification of the physical return of the Sun God. Instead the emphasis was shifted to the Sun of Righteousness who had won banishing the horrors of death for ever.

The Feast of Easter was well established by the second century. But there had been dispute over the exact date of the Easter observance between the Eastern and Western Churches. The East wanted to have it on a weekday because early Christians observed Passover every year on the 14th of Nisan, the month based on the lunar calendar. But, the West wanted that Easter should always be a Sunday regardless of the date. To solve this problem the emperor Constantine called the Council of Nicaea in 325. The question of the date of Easter was one of its main concerns. The council decided that Easter should fall on Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox. But fixing up the date of the Equinox was still a problem. The Alexandrians, noted for their rich knowledge in astronomical calculations were given the task. And March 21 was made out to be the perfect date for spring equinox. The dating of Easter today follows the same. Accordingly, churches in the West observe it on the first day of the full moon that occurs on or following the Spring equinox on March 21., it became a movable feast between March 21 and April 25. Still some churches in the East observe Easter according to the date of the Passover festival.

The preparation takes off as early as on the Ash Wednesday from which the period of penitence in the Lent begins. The Lent and the Holy week end on the Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection.

Holy Week Rekindles Ancient Church Traditions

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resource.php?n=1379

By PATRICIA COLL FREEMAN
CatholicAnchor.org

In Holy Week, the days just before Easter, one can catch Catholics in some ancient religious practices â€" some are so rare, they’re done only once a year.

Beginning Palm Sunday â€" March 28 â€" and running up to Easter, a week later, “we actually act out parts from Christ’s life,” Dominican Father Vincent Kelber of Holy Family Cathedral in Anchorage told the Catholic Anchor in an interview.

In doing so, explained Pope Benedict XVI in a March 2008 address, Christians “share in the mystery of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection.”

Following are glimpses of what Catholics in the Archdiocese of Anchorage and around the world will be doing â€" and why.

PALMS, PROCESSIONS AND THE PASSION

On Palm Sunday, a week before Easter, the Catholic Church recalls Jesus’ messianic entrance into Jerusalem before his crucifixion. As Jesus rode into the city on a small donkey, the Jews gathered around him, throwing cloaks and palm branches on the road and exclaiming praises as he passed by.

So at Palm Sunday Mass, there is a blessing of palms which the faithful hold as they process into church. The blessed palms are later kept in the home as a witness to faith in Jesus Christ, the Messianic King, and in his Paschal victory.

Some churches host an additional, longer procession outdoors. St. Michael Church in Palmer, for example, annually hosts a procession around the city block, with a live donkey at the front of the group.

During Palm Sunday Mass, the Gospel account of the Passion of Christ is announced, with the priest, deacon, readers and congregation reading aloud, respectively, the responses of Christ, the Apostles and the crowds who appear throughout the Passion.

VEILED IMAGES

Beginning Palm Sunday, some churches cover or veil â€" with purple cloth â€" the religious artwork in the church â€" except stained glass windows and the Stations of the Cross. In some places, the images are removed altogether.

According to Monsignor Peter Elliott, author of “Celebrations of the Liturgical Year,” “The custom of veiling crosses and images … has much to commend it in terms of religious psychology, because it helps us to concentrate on the great essentials of Christ’s work of Redemption.”

Still, the somber custom is believed to come from a 9th century German practice of extending a large cloth called the “Hungertuch” (hunger cloth) before the altar from the beginning of Lent. The cloth â€" which hid the altar â€" was not removed until during the reading of the Passion on the Wednesday in Holy Week â€" at the words, “the veil of the temple was rent in two.”

Crucifixes are unveiled after the Good Friday ceremonies and all other images just before the Easter vigil Mass on Holy Saturday.

THE LORD’S SUPPER

On Holy Thursday, the Catholic Church celebrates a special Mass of the Lord’s Supper â€" that commemorates the institution of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper. On the night before Jesus Christ was crucified, he changed bread and wine into his own Body and Blood, and he commanded the Apostles â€" and their successors through the centuries â€" to act in his stead and re-present this sacrifice. So at every Mass, by way of transubstantiation, the bread and wine offered by the priest becomes Christ’s Body and Blood again.

WASHING FEET

Just as Christ did for his 12 Apostles at the Last Supper and as he commanded them to do likewise, during the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the priest â€" who represents Christ â€" ceremoniously washes the feet of 12 people in the congregation. At the Holy Thursday liturgy in the Vatican, even the pope performs the foot washing. In fact, across the centuries, it has been practice for the pope to wash the feet of 12 priests after Mass and of 13 poor men after his dinner.

GOING WITH JESUS TO GETHSEMANE

After the Last Supper and before he was arrested and condemned to death, Jesus went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane, accompanied by two of the disciples. So after the Holy Thursday Mass, the remaining sacred hosts are carried out of the sanctuary to an “altar of repose,” and the people go with the Eucharistic Christ in a procession. The transported is sometimes surrounded by decorations of greenery and flowers to suggest a garden. People stay for a time, adoring the wondrous sacrament that Jesus instituted that day 2,000 years ago. Some make an adoration visit at their own parish and then visit others into the night.

A VACANT CHURCH

The Mass of the Lord’s Supper finished, the church â€" now without the Eucharist â€" is truly empty. So the tabernacle light â€" which is always lit and signifying Christ’s presence â€" is extinguished, and the tabernacle door is left open, exposing the vacant space inside. The altar is stripped bare of its linens and candles, holy water is removed from the church’s fonts and the sacraments are not celebrated until the Easter vigil. Like the first Christians bereft of Jesus and mourning the two days after the crucifixion, the church stands unadorned until the Easter vigil Mass on Saturday night. With the resurrection of Jesus, the church’s joy is restored.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

The Stations of the Cross devotion is centered on the Passion of Christ. While many Catholics pray the meditative prayer on their own across the year, it can be an especially poignant experience during Holy Week, when the entire church recalls the way of Jesus’ suffering and death. In fact, on Good Friday, many churches host parish-wide Stations of the Cross. By praying the Stations of the Cross, a person makes a spiritual pilgrimage to the principal scenes of the salvific Passion of the Lord, aided by artistic representations of those scenes, for example, Pilate’s condemnation of Christ to death and the nailing of Christ to the Cross. Usually, Stations of the Cross are found inside churches, spaced in intervals on the walls, but sometimes outdoors such as in the cloisters of monasteries. Each year, in Anchorage, Catholics gather to pray the Stations of the Cross, walking through the city.

EMBRACE THE CROSS

On Good Friday, the church gathers for the Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, which includes a reading of a Gospel account of the Passion, Holy Communion (consecrated at Mass on Thursday night) and veneration of the Cross.

In that tradition, a priest or deacon holds a wooden crucifix while the faithful process to him at the foot of the sanctuary, as if to receive communion. There each person reverences the crucifix with a kiss or a bow.

In some places, there are additional Good Friday devotions. Especially from noon to 3 p.m. â€" the hour at which Christ died on the cross â€" some silently meditate, pray the Stations of the Cross or participate in a Good Friday procession.

The Significance of Good Friday

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resource.php?n=1094

“‘It is finished’; and he bowed his head and handed over his spirit.”

On Good Friday, the entire Church fixes her gaze on the Cross at Calvary. Each member of the Church tries to understand at what cost Christ has won our redemption. In the solemn ceremonies of Good Friday, in the Adoration of the Cross, in the chanting of the 'Reproaches', in the reading of the Passion, and in receiving the pre-consecrated Host, we unite ourselves to our Savior, and we contemplate our own death to sin in the Death of our Lord.

The Church - stripped of its ornaments, the altar bare, and with the door of the empty tabernacle standing open - is as if in mourning. In the fourth century the Apostolic Constitutions described this day as a 'day of mourning, not a day of festive joy,' and this day was called the 'Pasch (passage) of the Crucifixion.'

The liturgical observance of this day of Christ's suffering, crucifixion and death evidently has been in existence from the earliest days of the Church. No Mass is celebrated on this day, but the service of Good Friday is called the Mass of the Presanctified because Communion (in the species of bread) which had already been consecrated on Holy Thursday is given to the people.

Traditionally, the organ is silent from Holy Thursday until the Alleluia at the Easter Vigil, as are all bells or other instruments, the only music during this period being unaccompanied chant.

The omission of the prayer of consecration deepens our sense of loss because Mass throughout the year reminds us of the Lord's triumph over death, the source of our joy and blessing. The desolate quality of the rites of this day reminds us of Christ's humiliation and suffering during his Passion. We can see that the parts of the Good Friday service correspond to the divisions of Mass:

•Liturgy of the Word - reading of the Passion.
•Intercessory prayers for the Church and the entire world, Christian and non-Christian.
•Veneration of the Cross
•Communion, or the 'Mass of the Pre-Sanctified.'

The Significance Of Holy Thursday

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/resource.php?n=1087

Except for the resurrection on Easter, Holy Thursday is possibly one of the most important, complex, and profound days of celebration in the Catholic Church. Holy Thursday celebrates the institution of the Eucharist as the true body and blood of Jesus Christ and the institution of the sacrament of the priesthood.

During the Last Supper, Jesus offers himself as the Passover sacrifice, the sacrificial lamb, and teaches that every ordained priest is to follow the same sacrifice in the exact same way. Christ also bids farewell to his followers and prophesizes that one of them will betray him and hand him over to the Roman soldiers.

Around the world, Bishops and priests come together at their local Cathedrals on Holy Thursday morning to celebrate the institution of the priesthood. During the Mass, the bishop blesses the Oil of Chrism that will be used for Baptism, Confirmation, and Anointing of the sick or dying.

At this Mass, the bishop washes the feet of twelve priests to symbolize Christ’s washing of his twelve Apostles, our first bishops and priests.

Later that night, after sundown â€" because Passover began at sundown-  the Holy Thursday Liturgy takes place, marking the end of Lent and the beginning of the sacred "Triduum,” or three, of Holy Week. These days are the three holiest days in the Catholic Church.

This Mass stresses the importance Jesus puts on the humility of service, and the need for cleansing with water, a symbol of baptism. Also emphasized are the critical importance of the Eucharist and the sacrifice of Christ’s Body, which we now find present in the consecrated Host.

At the conclusion of the Mass, the faithful are invited to continue Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament throughout the night, just as the disciples were invited to stay up with the Lord during His agony in the garden before His betrayal by Judas.

After Holy Thursday, no Mass will be celebrated again in the Church until the Easter Vigil celebrates and proclaims the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mardi Gras History

http://www.eastjeffersonparish.com/culture/MARDIGRA/HISTORY/history.htm

Article and photographs by Jim Davis

Origins
The history of Mardi Gras began long before Europeans set foot in the New World. In mid February the ancient Romans celebrated the Lupercalia, a circus like festival not entirely unlike the Mardi Gras we are familiar with today. When Rome embraced Christianity, the early Church fathers decided it was better to incorporate certain aspects of pagan rituals into the new faith rather than attempt to abolish them altogether. Carnival became a period of abandon and merriment that preceded the penance of Lent, thus giving a Christian interpretation to the ancient custom.

Mardi Gras came to America in 1699 with the French explorer Iberville. Mardi Gras had been celebrated in Paris since the Middle Ages, where it was a major holiday. Iberville sailed into the Gulf of Mexico, from where he launched an expedition up the Mississippi River. On March 3 of 1699, Iberville had set up a camp on the west bank of the river about 60 miles south of where New Orleans is today. This was the day Mardi Gras was being celebrated in France. In honor of this important day, Iberville named the site Point du Mardi Gras.

The Late Eighteenth Century
During the late 1700's, pre-Lenten masked balls and festivals were common in New Orleans while it was under French rule. However when New Orleans came under Spanish rule the custom was banned. In 1803 New Orleans came under the U.S. flag. The prohibition against masked festivals continued until 1823 when the Creole populace convinced the governor to permit masked balls. In 1827 street masking was again legalized.

The Nineteenth Century
During the early 1800's public celebrations of Mardi Gras centered around maskers on foot, in carriages and on horseback. The first documented parade occurred in 1837. Unfortunately, Mardi Gras gained a negative reputation because of violent behavior attributed to maskers during the 1840's and 50's. The situation became so bad that the press began calling for an end to the celebration.

In 1857 six New Orleaneans saved Mardi Gras by forming the Comus organization. These six men were former members of the Cowbellians, an organization which had put on New Year's Eve parades in Mobile since 1831. The Comus organization added beauty to Mardi Gras and demonstrated that it could be a safe and festive event. Comus was the first organization to use the term krewe to describe itself. Comus also started the customs of having a secret Carnival society, having a parade with a unifying theme with floats, and of having a ball after the parade. Comus was also the first organization to name itself after a mythological character. The celebration of Mardi Gras was interrupted by the Civil War, but in 1866 Comus returned.

In 1870 the Twelfth Night Revelers made their appearance. In 1871 they began the custom of presenting a young woman with a golden bean hidden in a cake. This young woman was the first queen of Mardi Gras. This was also the origin of the king cake tradition.

In 1872 Grand Duke Alexis Romanoff of Russia visited New Orleans. This year the krewe of Rex made their debut and began the tradition of the "King of Carnival." Rex also introduced purple, gold and green as the official colors of Mardi Gras. Rex was the first krewe to hold an organized daytime parade and introduced "If Ever I Cease To Love" as the Mardi Gras anthem. One of the high points of Rex is the arrival of the Rex King on a riverboat. 1872 also saw the debut of the Knights of Momus on New Year's Eve.

Ten years later in 1882, the Krewe of Proteus made its debut with a parade themed after Egyptian mythology. In 1890 the first marching club, The Jefferson City Buzzards, was organized. In 1894, the Original Illinois Club was formed as the first black Mardi Gras organization. In 1896 Les Mysterieuses appeared as the first female organization.

Mardi Gras in the Twentieth Century
In 1809 Zulu appeared as a parody of Rex. The Zulu King held a banana stalk scepter and wore a lard can crown. He arrived on on oyster lugger instead of a steamboat. Zulu was destined to become one of the most popular and beloved of all krewes.

Mardi Gras was canceled during the dark years of 1918 and 1919 when the United States was involved in the bloody fighting of the First World War. The celebration struggled through the 1920's and early 30's, which saw Prohibition and The Great Depression.

The krewe of Alla brought carnival to the West Bank in 1934.

With the rise of mass produced automobiles, random truck riders had become part of the Mardi Gras scene. In 1835 they organized themselves into the Elkes Krewe of Orleanians. The Krewe of Hermes appeared in 1937 and the Knights of Babylon in 1939.

Mardi Gras prospered during the 1940's, although it was canceled during the war years. In 1949 Louis Armstrong was King of the Zulu parade and was pictured on the cover of time magazine.

In 1950 the Duke and Duchess of Windsor visited New Orleans during Mardi Gras. They honored the New Orleans Mardi Gras tradition by bowing to kings of Rex and Comus at the Comus ball. The Korean War put a damper on festivities in 1951, but several krewes joined forces to parade as the Krewe of Patria on Mardi Gras day. The Fifties also saw the replacement of mule drawn floats with ones drawn by tractors and the formation of several new krewes including Zeus. Zeus was the first krewe to parade in Metairie.

In 1961 Pete Fountain founded the Half-Fast Walking Club, an immediate hit with the crowds. Zulu came under pressure from portions of the black community who thought the krewe presented an undignified image. The king resigned and the parade was almost cancelled, but Zulu survived and was a main attraction by 1969. The Sixties ended with the debut of Bacchus. Bacchus aimed to bring national attention to Mardi Gras with gigantic floats and a Hollywood celebrity (Danny Kaye) riding as its king. Bacchus replaced the traditional ball with a supper to which tickets could be purchased by visitors and locals.

The Seventies saw the debut of 18 new krewes and the demise of 18 others. More than a dozen krewes followed the lead of Bacchus by placing celebrities in their parades. In 1974 Argus became the first Metairie parade on Fat Tuesday. This year also saw Endymion's rise to super krewe status. The Seventies brought a ban on parading in the French Quarter, ending a 117 year tradition. Mardi Gras made national headlines at the close of the decade with a police strike which cancelled 13 parades in Orleans Parish.

In the 80's Mardi Gras gained 27 new parades and lost 19. St. Bernard Parish suffered a net loss of parades while Jefferson and St. Tammany Parish experienced continued growth. By the end of the decade Jefferson Parish was experiencing an attendance rate of 600,000 people at its parades on Fat Tuesday.

The 1980's were were good times for Mardi Gras. In 1987 Rex brought back the custom of Lundi Gras, the arrival of the Rex King on the Mississippi River which had been celebrated from 1874 through 1917. The traditional tableau ball, however, lost popularity. Once considered essential, only 10 krewes continued the tradition of masked balls by the end of the decade. Doubloons also lost some of their popularity when several krewes stopped producing them.

Invite the whole world to bless Him!
Invite the whole world to serve Him!
Forever and ever, never to end
Invite the whole world to know Him!

Nature praises Him,
Nature sings to Him;
Awake, oh universe, oh man.
Let us go now and serve Him.

(Repeat Refrain)

2
Birds of the air,
Creatures of the sea;
The stars above shine His light.
The sun and the moon all serve Him.
