Curry can be found in restuarants that specailize in foods from India and can also be found in most authentic chinese restuarants.

I know Thailand has a yummy spicey saucey flare to it my favorite foods in Thailand are Chicken Panang and Thai beef salad.
My Thailandic appetizer are fresh springrlls in peanut sauce!

Curry is alsomainly a West indies Dish.

Tolinang at yesterays piso was at P115 per kilo

large jumbo prawns were at P400. per kilo

The power of the piso is crap and the lines at grocery markets have dwindled the junk food potato chip aisles are always buzzing more then the meat sections these past few weeks.

The cheapest head of lettuce today was at P72 and the most exspensive was around P184 oh my gooooooodness!

when I exchanged one American "C" note today I was given an exchange of P4150

My update is not much because we here in the Philippines just finished the Holy Week and what a wonderfull one is what at that.
In my six years of being here hard to imagine it was my very first time to stand through a four hour mass and topped off with a procession of the crowning of the Blessed virgin Mary.

Prior to attending mass that evening I had discussed some private matters on what might be the next steps of the case.
I had given My publisher who is Pie's Atty. some advice and I hope it will work and I will keep texting to the every lovely lady Pie as she is in Manila getting her documents completed to work on getting what she needs to get done for the next hearing.
Atty. is fed up with the city govt attitude and had hinted around that he might go after the city next on negligence or something on that line.
Atty. is nice and has been very good with Pie and her family here, he sponsored the trip to Manila after my suggestion to Pie and him that the baby qualifies for American National and also for the benefits of her late father.
When I had accompanied PIE to the cityhall asking mayor to sponsor a trip for Pie and her child and for I to get the darling and very alert BB of their's to manila all Mark monton could do was to scoff and give us the old do not call us we will call you!
Which is total b***.
Mayor then makes a public announcement over the radio that Pie should make an appointment?
b*** call again make an appointment on what should be a priority?

I'm sorry in this country there is way too much leniency given to persons who commit crime and if this was to happen in my country Blanco the driver would be behind bars on day numero uno!

I am glad despite all that has happend and with Pie keeping a strong head, I hope some day Zach's mother will petition for her grandbaby and Pie and have them in America she would love those two precious women close to her forever.
Pie is a strong and very attractive strong minded person who knows what she is doing to make it right.
Hello Mr. Gibson we have never met, but I am happy to see you stepping in to let persons know how you feel.
Please give my regards to your beautiful wife and kids back home. If anything comes up I will keep the readers posted.
Take Care all I am busy this week I have three kids graduating and guest speeches to be worked on so may be some time before I am back on TubigBohol.

By Priscilla Richards

City prosecutor 1. Hon. Bibiana Bautista branch 7 of Tagbilaran city has found probable cause against Peter Ermilio Blanco Y Polinar one quasi offense here which is Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homocide and Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to property.
“Article 365 lies in the execution or an imprudent or negligent act that, if intentionally done, would be punished as a felony.
The law punishes the negligent or careless act, not the result therof.  The gravity of the evidence is only taken into account to determine the penalty; it does not qualify the substance of the offense.
As the careless act is single whether the injuries result should affect one person or several persons, the offense remains one and the same. It cannot be split into different crimes and prosecutions.” (People vs. Buan. Promulgated March 29, 1968, 65 O.G. 6127).
Findings
There is a casualty in this case, Mr. Raczok, a citizen of the United States of America died as of a result of the incident. He was on board a motorcycle when the incident happened. The driver of the dump truck was unscathed.
The extent of the damage at the front portion of the dump truck indicates that a strong impact landed on the right front side of the dump truck with an expired license. In fact he has been driving with an expired license since June 30, 2007.
The motorcycle of Zachery Raczok was also situated at the right side of the intersection.
Generally, when two vehicles approach or enter an intersection at approximately the same time the driver of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right of way to the vehicle on the right xxx” section 42 of R.A. 4136).
The private complainant claimed that even if the dump truck was not there the motorcycle would still hit the fence opposite its direction with the speed it was driving. It is not in consonance with human nature for a person to ram his driven motorcycle on a fence situated right in front of him by over speeding and driving straight to it.
Probable cause is established against respondent for reckless imprudence.
An investigation was conducted by P03 Fabio Maulas last December 22nd, 2007 around 1:50 o’clock dawn. He had received a call for police assistance regarding the accident that night of Razcok and Blanco.
Blanco was said to be driving home after a party and driving friends home early AM.
Raczok was on his way home after visiting with friends that evening.
Wherefore, premises considered, let a case for Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide and Damage to Property be filed against the respondent.
The two separate cases for Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homocide and Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to Property are hereby ordered dismissed.
Court case is still pending for further decisions.

For me Mike I like to begin a post with something hot that is of interest and most often would get replies, I know we have our rights to post what we like but ..............some of this stuff posted by some persons living in Bohol but if the people are not living here not all will know or understand what is going on as they are living far away.(not too much knoweldge about current conditions)
I have noticed some post may have hits as being read as much as 30-50 times, with a minimum of 2-11 comments?

Look at the write of mine that I had you post from the Standard newspaper here in Tagbilaran, now that is a tourism story and one of interest.

Also the twin alledged rape case at Ceceilia Putong National High School.

If it is Posts related to sanguiniang sessions and actions it seems as if no one is interested?

If they want to run photo contest and other polls everyone likes it as people love to participate in things that are fun.

I honestly notice a few strong political posters and many posts in here that are one liner's if that?

If persons want to see this country progress then people need not sit back and hide what are the things really on their mind.
People need to know how you feel, and people need to know how to respect what you say and hopefully more people will follow the example if more in here spoke in length how they really think and get their thoughts out to be seen and hopefully progress can be begun from here.
No one can read anothers mind as words need to said aloud in order to be heard by all.

Come on all bright and beautifull minded persons in here speak up and share whats on your mind and never be ashamed of what you say we are only human. :)

I can not beleive it other then an American last year being jailed you mean to tell me a Filipino was also put in prison!!!!!

What a shock!            You can do vehicluer man slaughter and not have to do anytime in this country?

I feel that more people such as abussers of the law should be jailed but here in Bohol and Philippines its so easy to get away with murder of any time as so many cases are unsolved as it is.

I hope the people here do not vote in another bleeding president....(Read Anti female presidents).

Im just tired of all the moaning and complaining but yet the people are bought cheap by politicians no wonder.

Here easter is not celebrated the same way as we cellebrate back in the states. Graduation is the same week for 3 of my kids, and with it being crisis I am not so sure too many can enjoy the holweek as the graduation fees are running at a minimum of 3000 piso per student just for exspenses alone.
The sad thing is paying for a paper diploma and nothing to protect it such as vinyl cover book.

The diploma converted to merican money cost $6.00 this year for high school students
aulumni is $10.00, and toga isaround 18.00 dollars and speakers dinner cost each student around P450.00 sheesh and no meals or snacks fo the graduates makes me wonder just what kind of a meal he is eating at that price multiplied by so many students.
yearbook cost p750.00 and so on and if you do not pay all you can not take the final and graduate.......................OMG!
Thats how we in Tagbilaran with graduating students are cellebrating our holyweek by paying for the graduation four days later to hapen on the 27th of March!

It is said to be a great asset to have the Loboc choir performing at this first ever event to be held.
Last week I had the good oppurtunity to visit Loboc Choir and speak with Sir Hidolito Taldo Secretary of Loboc Mayor and his wife Mam Alma Taldo about the groups preperation in going to perform in America after hearing it first from their son who was is an X choir member working now in Manila.

The first song I can remember crying to was during a class film strip when it had shown how poor my tribe was and when it was at war.

Cherokees were not considered rich Indians like other types but they are more for peace and simplier minded but elegant in their own way.

The song went something like this; He shot the whole Cherooke nation and took his own life with justificatio..Cherokee people cherokee tribe so proud to live ans so proud to die......etc.

Late 1960's I walked in a peace parade protesting about war and the hirikrishina, we drank swigs off of jugs of apple wine and we just had a blast!

This happened allot inmy home town finially the city engineer wisend up and designed the crossing to be an over pass instead a through the tracks. It was always scarey to live one block away and here the crashing of the train into a car as the car had stalled on the crossing and it was a 50/50 shot at buhay each time you drove across the tracks.
The over pass on the track is much more better and a relaxing way to drive.

Never stop and look both ways while crossing a track either.

Just some sound "Tracking advice"!

Mayor lim had closed it and persons were blaming Kagawad rama ooops and pardon he was the mascott of Dumbo the elephant not Baboy....it was hard to see from a distance the mammal he was made ino was a big one though!

This time the persons had rallied to have the Botika open but at their own exspense and not that of the city.

The project of Uy has allot of support from mayor Lim.

Shouldnt the title say so close but still so far away .......since he did not pay to play that day? yea so young this fellow.
may he rest in peace.

Karon sa hapon daghan exspired medecines sinugba in front of many press witnesses after a press conference was held in order to witness the exspired and pulled off the shelf medicines from the freee clinic behind the mayor's cityhall building in Botika Katawahan.

I very weaping and emotional Deputy Mayor Uy was ever so thankfull for the persons who wanted to help and gave help by way of donating medicines.

Its was sad to watch him cry and wipe away his tears as he explained to media that he wants to help the poor and whom ever needs medicine at the time but can not afford it as he knows medicines these days are mahal in price.

It took three hollowed out metal barrels to get the job done of burning many types of medicines for any kind of body ailments.

The medicines almost did not make it to the burn barrel as two huge and very strong downpours of rain came during the press conference held outdoors of the Botika Katawahan.

By 6pm all medicines were burned and empty plastic medicine bottles were popping and being shot up into the air as they were having toxic reaction to the fire and its heat.

This press conference is because a couple of Kagawads had wanted the Botika to close because of expired medicines being distributed to people who were sick.

This past weekend a rally ws held downtown and it was enough to be in favor of opening up the Botika again but under another name.

Boring kayo if you live here its one of the things you always hear about.
These two are always at each others throats!

Mayor lim is always at someones throat if not Serna, then its Rama, if not rama then Kapirig, if not Kapirig then Vice mayor Toto Veloso.

Banners were printed the other day and banners had Kagawad Rama looking like the mascott (BABOY)for Marcella Feeds and he had Kagawad Kapirig looking like the man with horns and a pitch and a curly tail from down below!

I hope when this day comes I am no where near the radio to hear these two bickering there are better things to do then listen to that!

Blue Philippine law has them protected, and the name or the identity will ever be in print.
It has been a minor law for a long time in the media.

Anyone knows and inhis right mind to travel light in Cotobato, the place is dangerous. Why would you want to wear exspensive jeweleries and take mahal cell phones on such a risky place and everyone knows it.

Its sad it happened but these days it is no longer shocking, it is crisis times and peope act out during the worst of times doing the stupidist things.

I do not even wear a real gold ring out there anymore not even a cheap one.

This past two months are hard more then ever from what I have experienced in the past.

People need to pay attention and realize that we are not living in a world of security lake before.
We must be vigilant at all times.

Inmy eyes i am not sad for this. the tricycle drivers take advantage of persons here and snob many passangers in choose and select. they want no less then 10-15 pisos at times and if from down town to HNU dampas they want around 20-30 pisos for private tricycle.

It must stop, and they should be able to pay it up as they rip off passangers like crazy these days.
Dake ang franchize bayad ang dako ang tricycle fare, I say what goes around comes around in this case. instead of penalizing them it is better to raise the franchize rate.

See how they like it?

People working with mayor ride tricycles and they get steeped for high fare i have heard from them and I am sure he has also had a belly full of complaints as well.

P30.00 from city hall to mansasa? What does it cost more then a multi cab to operate that motor bike?

Thes drivers have had it coming for a long time.

So close to having to change their strike engines at almost P75.000 and now the city wants P12.000 for franchize? its step but they get their monies back in the long run 3-5 years in the service.

Salamat daghan for the well wishes as much as for the complimens on my probing of this case.
I am so truly let down as a human and a media person and a friend here on two big major write ups that were done by myself and both not having any results and hidden by other media outlets.
I am so pissed off with how I was being talked down to at a press conference by mayor Dan Lim today who thought that he could say some words as if smuggly wuggly and i did not play stupid instead my comments made him silent.

Mayor knows better then to insult this big woman! Over my dako body!

He said the two were not married, "But how to get married when your processing to be married but your fianci and father of the bb was suddenly killed by your driver and the city owned truck? "

That bb was made out of love, so does that mean just because she was made out of love in your country and born in the Philippinese that she has no rights to get help when her father was suddenly taken away?

what is the logic in the thinking around here? The father was just back from work and settling in and making plans for a wedding.
He arrived her in November was killed with in a month that he was here.

Last Saturday I talked to congressman Edgar Chatto and he said he would assist with the embassy in manila if need be but as far as moral obligations it is the mayor.

I also told the mayor that it was his moral obligation to help. .........he went silent and I changed the subject as other media was starting to gather close around the mayor.

It was better as I was on the verge of just about going crazy!

His words were what we in the western world  are what we would call B----s--t in some sense of the matter!

I stopped writing about the case as here the politicians do not care about anything, they make their comments and their jokes and their words ff how good they are so they can get patted on the back.

The words said to me concerning the American and The Boholana mother of the hald American baby leave behind is cold hearted and haunting in some sense.

Here is what took place today during a media pres conference concerning exspired medications from Botika Katawahan.

Prior to the meeting getting under way mayor asked me how was the sittuation with the girl that I was trying to get help for the one who has no personality as he said it several times.

I asked him for a clarity on what he meant by "No personality?" he told me that she was not married to the American so she has no rights to claim anything from the city but instead to go after the driver who was driving the city owned water works truck.

I said to him what saves her as far as rights are concerned is that she had a baby by him and the little girl qualifies for American National.
He said it was not good to ask from the city anything to help the bb and to sue the driver involved. (What does the driver have?) he has no blood to barely squeaze for his own family let alone being sued?

Mayor just keeps nodding his head as if no way does she get or deserve anything.

Travel and Tours / Re: SuperFerry Philippines
March 09, 2008, 03:13:05 AM
I have to agree with B:) all my experiences on board with Super Ferry have been fun and life is a party at night in the lounge on board near to the messroom.
Super Ferry has been no problem for me and normally it takes me a few times to have to report bad service instead of one time.
I want to go back to the place and see if they continue being rude time and again not just on a one time basis.
Its not the business that is rude it is just an employe who works and does not care they have a bad attitude and customers do not want to go back there again?
So eventually the boss catches on they get warned next time they are gone and hopefully the HRD can hire better persons for the job so customers are happy and keep coming back.
To the owner it is a livelyhood to the employe it is just a paycheck so it is easy to let the employe go.

The news about PGMAs Boy Pernia are alarming the capitol this week as millions of Philippine pesos are showwing up to be missing and Boy Pernia is no where to be found this past week after The Bohol Standards newspaer came out with the story regarding PGMAs Pernia and COOPS CRY FOUL! at first it was beleived around 344.000 plus was missing in gohst projects but this friday an investigating group has been formed to probe into what could be possibly going on?

B) I think times have changed, I was here during the elections and being a foreigner it has been very fine so far.
I am also in media here and I was not scared of the election one time but before do to apprehension and persons filling my head with garbage i was indeed scared.
I have not exsperienced any bad election periods in Bohol so far.

If i am home in the states and i will see a news article involving danger over here my mind gets all worked up for nothing really.
When I get here despite what are the bad things going on there is always ways to avoid what it is you do not want to be associated with as far as dangers are concerned.

I have ben here a long time, and I am use to the nice people here and their ways and vigilant around those who come acros as a bit stranger then normal.

B:) Just come home relax and enjoy visiting with your family and just be cautious always.

I hope to see you here or any of you here and would hope for a chance to say hello to you in person.

Keep on dieing and laughing Lorenzo as some day women will get wise and cut all you men off from one of your most favorite things to do?

It involves a woman and men can not do with out us and be 100% satisfied if they use an artificial woman or appuratas that represents a part of a woman body.

You men need to share the load at home during the domestic scene of being together as it mean sharing equaly together.
