What's wrong with being Bol-anon? Nothing, unless of course eating bahaw and loving tolingan qualify as petty crimes.

We are pleased to announce the presence of one of Bohol's young brilliant lawyers, now a Tubag Bohol contributor.

I still need his permission if he wants his true name to be revealed here.

Attorney, salamat sa imong pagpakabana alang sa Bohol.

Padayon ta.

All for the love of Bohol!

P.S. Where is Chin? It's her turn now.

Wait a minute. Who do I welcome? A person named Attorney or someone who's an attorney? You are making me even more muddled, Mike. Not good. I've limited brain power as it is.

Anyway, lawyer guy, welcome. You will come in handy, for free legal advice on just about anything - from the legality of auctioning one's uterus to the ethical issues involved in offering free bahalina to strangers.

I'm moved. Once more, you bring tears to my eyes, Mike. I have never been top anything before.

It's possible that on the night of their wedding the man did not notice whether or not he has broken the woman's hymen because of any of these reasons:

1. She broke her hymen while filming Pinakamagandand Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa
2. He already did it weeks before the wedding
3. Somebody else did it
4. She was born without it

Oh, but perhaps Ruffa's hymen is elastic. It stretches, gets dented, snaps a little, and then returns to its original form. Ye of little faith, if rubber band can be elastic, why not Ruffa's hymen?

This is strange. Learning English is now a requisite for life? So, aside from water, oxygen, and sunlight, English is needed for civilizations to rise, planets to form, and amoebas to flourish?

Ah yes, these are strange times we live in.

Vader,

I read somewhere here you are offering one of your kidneys as a welcome token...
I find this very spiritual
Kidneys function to clean our blood
A hug from you will be a purifying experience
Your bahalina will perk up the senses... virtually

I was too generous last week, I'm afraid. My kidney's market value has skyrocketed. It is no longer for free.  :D But you're right. Any experience that involves blood is bound to bring tears to your eyes and change your life profoundly. Good to have you here. I missed the part where you breached the wall.. er, Mike's walls. hahaha

Why does it always take people 40 days to finish something? In Noah's case, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights. Moses stayed in Mt. Sinai for 40 days. Jesus suffered in the desert for 40 days, too.

I rest my case.

Sadly, the campaign to turn Bohol into a premiere destination spot worked only too well. The whites came - in shiploads and planeloads. Now, resorts have become too expensive for locals. Tourism has driven prices up. We now have the terrible problem of being ill-able to afford the very places we used to stroll into, for free!

Aha! So now my impressions of you aren't really that far off the mark. Geek! Bookworm! (I could go on with this name-calling, but you haven't even answered that earlier advice I gave - that you go out and watch leaves change color. hahaha) The HSS library introduced him to me, through Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov. This is what's infuriating about you. You know too much; it's not healthy. Go out and do something frivolous. Watch leaves change color. Egg worms to crawl just the teensiest bit faster. This is my roundabout way of saying, "Mike, I don't know that woman." Hahaha.

P.S Your GPS is quite accurate. Sadly, however, I don't own this islet. Not yet, anyway. =)

Few professions are as fulfilling as teaching. Imagine how wonderful it would be to teach and not have to worry about leaking roofs or sending your kids to a good school. It's sad. We pay hookers more than we do educators. What a pity Bol-anons have to go to Thailand to pursue the joys of teaching.

1 U.S. Dollar      = P46.080
1 Euro                 =  P61.952
1 Canadian Dollar = P43.455
1 Australian Dollar = P38.373

Note: The American dollar is loosing value at the world financial market. Compare Canadian and American dollars. Canada's currency is about to overtake the envied U.S. dollar.

I feel ambivalent about the American dollar's plummeting value. On the one hand, it's good for our economy. On the other, it's potentially disastrous for industries built on the back of cheap labor. In Cebu alone, most of the young and the intelligent go to call centers. These call centers are funded by American dollars. When the dollar's value slides, imagine what that would do to these businesses' operating costs.

So yeah, as with most things, the decreasing value of the American dollar is both a boon and a bane.

a. Naturally, offer her free use of one of my kidneys. "Hello, we're so happy you followed mike's trail of breadcrumbs here. Can I offer you one of my kidneys? You don't have to decide now. You can consider it while you find your way around Tubag Bohol."

b. Threaten her into active participation. "If you don't post at least thrice a day, I shall google you, find out where you live, and tell your parents you went to my clinic for a sex change."

c. Grin, and let Mike do the welcoming. At 1:39 in the morning, this option seems to be the most appetizing.

I'd like to recommend www.indeed.com, one of the best job search engines I found so far.
Thousands of jobs are posted daily.

Or you may also try www.jobstreet.com.ph
Many of the jobs posted in jobstreet are related with the call center industry.

You will have to gut me or debone me first before you can force me to take the call center route. I have the highest respect for call center agents, and the deepest contempt for the call center industry in particular. This opinion, I know, will ruffle many feathers, but I never lie. At least, I try not to.  :)

Leo has established a plethora of connections in Manila media such as GMA7, Inquirer, Philippine Star - and with his connections he had helped put Bohol in the map of global tourism.

Leo, hope to see you here everyday!

God bless,

Mike, judging from the lack of reply, I'd say it's either

a. Leo hasn't read this warm welcome.
b. Leo defines "every day" as a day that comes twice a year.
