Visitation is a good summer word because the summer season spurs visits with families and friends.  Just as Mary brought Christ with her when she visited her cousin Elizabeth, then too we also must bring joy to loved ones when we spend some time with them.  Whatever we say should reveal our joy to be in touch with other people, who, like ourselves, may often long for friendship, love and companionship.  When Mary reached Elizabeth in the Visitation, even though she was already carrying Jesus, her joy reached its highest level and expression in the Magnificat - "My soul proclaims the glory of the Lord."  Our spirit too should increase when we come in contact with those we love.

" O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee."

The best is to develop the Clarin wharf in modern technologies. If the wharf to be develop for RO RO and best passenger terminal to Cebu it can generate job and  income to individual  and generate revenue for the town that leads to improve people standard of living.Clarin produced so many civil engineers and they must utilize their profession and expertise to design the wharf in the latest and best technology today.May be we can imagine how Tubigon improved.Im not expertise of the civil works but if our beloved civil engineers can draft a design for that i can also share my best in the latest port technology as of today. Calling for the attention of CSF batch 78. im pretty sure this batch 78 is now ripe for this profession.I mentioned my childhood friend  Engr Rito Laroga for Wharf Civil and Infrastructure our Naval Architect Rizalito Lanoy can design Floating wharf. Engr Moises Canete can develop solar power for the wharf electrical. regards all CSF batch 78.......

you´re right enhinero , kanang mga engrs. sa clarin must  help improve this town and make use of your profession kay sayang man kung sa gawas lang kamo makatabang . share nýo naman ang inyong talent, time and treasure sa atong lungsod nga atong natawhan.
I hope nga makahunahuna ang mga engr´s. sa clarin ... for better living.

POPLAR TREE
Uses
Manufacturing

    * In many areas fast-growing hybrid poplars are grown on plantations for pulpwood

    * Poplar is widely used for the manufacture of paper[8].

    * It is also sold as inexpensive hardwood timber, used for pallets and cheap plywood; more specialised uses include matches and the boxes in which camembert cheese is sold.

    * Poplar wood is also widely used in the snowboard industry for the snowboard "core", because it has exceptional flexibility, and is sometimes used in the bodies of electric guitars and drums.

    * Poplar wood, particularly when seasoned, makes a good hearth for a bow drill.

    * Due to its high tannic acid content, the bark has been used in Europe for tanning leather.[3]

    * It was also picked as the material for the bones of "Buster", the crash test dummy used in the TV show MythBusters, after some experiments revealed that it fractures under approximately the same loads as human bone.

Energy

There is interest in using poplar as an energy crop for biomass or biofuel, in energy forestry systems, particularly in light of its high energy in-energy out ratio, large carbon mitigation potential and fast growth.

In the United Kingdom poplar (as with fellow energy crop willow) is typically grown for two to five years (with single or multiple stems), then harvested and burned - the yield of some varieties can be as high as 12 oven dry tonnes every year[9]

Art

Poplar was the most common wood used in Italy for panel paintings; the Mona Lisa and indeed most famous early renaissance Italian paintings are on poplar. The wood is generally white, often with a slightly yellowish cast.

Some stringed instruments are made with one-piece poplar backs; violas made in this fashion are said to have a particularly resonant tone.

Religion

Jesus's Cross

    * A folk tradition noted among Michigan miners in the early 20th century asserted that poplar wood was used to make the cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified.

Poplars dominate the flora of Khorog City Park, GBAO, Tajikistan

OUR FATHER
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPOLREv6b4g

The prayer which Jesus Christ taught to His disciples.

Newer version:

Our Father, Who is in heaven,
Holy is Your Name;
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Our Father is based on these passages from the Bible:
Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4.

Prayer of Jabez

The Prayer of Jabez comes from the Bible. In 1 Chronicles 4:10, we read: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested." The prayer is composed of four parts. First, Jabez asks God to bless him. Second, he asks God to enlarge his territory or increase his responsibility. Third, he prays that God will be with him and stay close. Lastly, Jabez asks that God keep him from harm so that he will be free from pain.

The Prayer of Jabez reveals that Jabez understands what many people do not -- there is only one God and He should be the center of our work God wants to bless every life. But, we must first make the choice to invite God into our life and ask for His blessings. Jabez wants to succeed and increase his sphere of influence for God. The specific sphere of influence is not important. What is important is that when we want to reach for goals and accomplishments that we have God on our side.

"Attempt something large enough that failure is guaranteed…unless God steps in!"

Thank You so much heavenly Father for remembering my sacrifices. You have blessed me abundantly.

JUST SMILE

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking

When there are clouds in the sky, youll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
Youll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Prayer for Inner Peace
Lord, please put Your peace in my heart. I'm worried and anxious. My mind races and obsesses. I can't help thinking about my problems. And the more I think about them, the more depressed I become. I feel like I'm sinking down in quicksand and can't get out. Calm me, Lord. Slow me down, put Your peace in my heart.

No matter what problems I have, Lord, You are bigger, You are more powerful than it is. So I bring my problem to you, Lord. I know what I want, I know my will. I do not know Yours. I do not know how You will use this problem for my salvation. I do not know what good You will work out of this evil. But I trust You, Lord, I trust Your goodness and Your wisdom. I place myself in Your hands, please fill my heart with peace. Amen.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus falls on June 19, 2009.

Happy Feast of the Sacred Heart to everyone!
I hope everyone had a great one!

Promises of the Sacred Heart
  1. I will give them all the graces necessary for their state of life.
   2. I will give peace in their families.
   3. I will console them in all their troubles.
   4. I will be their refuge in life and especially in death.
   5. I will abundantly bless all their undertakings.
   6. Sinners shall find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
   7. Tepid souls shall become fervent.
   8. Fervent souls shall rise speedily to great perfection.
   9. I will bless those places wherein the image of My Sacred Heart shall be exposed and venerated.
  10. I will give to priests the power to touch the most hardened hearts.
  11. Persons who propagate this devotion shall have their names eternally written in my Heart.
  12. In the excess of the mercy of my Heart, I promise you that my all powerful love will grant to all those who will receive Communion on the First Fridays, for nine consecutive months, the grace of final repentance: they will not die in my displeasure, nor without receiving the sacraments; and my Heart will be their secure refuge in that last hour.

The last promise has given rise to the pious Roman Catholic practice of making an effort to attend Mass and receive Communion on the first Friday of each month.
Sacred Heart Basilica, Paris

Great efficacy of converting people has been attached to the use of the image of the Sacred Heart.

GOD'S BLESSING

Matthew 25:34 Come, you that are blessed by my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world

God blesses his people

Enoch was one of the first men blessed by God, it is said that he walked with God and that he was no more because God took him (Genesis 5:24). He lived three hundred and sixty five years. One of his sons was Methuselah who was blessed with the longest life a human being has ever lived, nine hundred and  sixty-nine years. Methuselah was the father of Lamech. When Lamech had lived one hundred eighty-two years, he became the father of a son; he named him Noah, saying, "Out of the ground that the LORD has cursed this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the toil of our hands."

St. Justin Martyr
Feastday: June 1
165

Martyr, philosopher, and defender of Christianity. He was born into a pagan family at Flavia Neopolis, or Nablus, in Palestine. At the age of thirty, he became a Christian and traveled to debate pagan philosophers, eventually going to Rome. There he was denounced and tried with Charita, Chariton, Euelpistus, Hierox, Liberianus, and Paeon. They were scourged and beheaded. Justin, also called “the Philosopher,” was the first layman to serve as an apologist. His works include Apologies for the Christian Religion and Dialogue with the Jew Trypho. The records of Justin’s trial are extant.

St. Mechtildis
Feastday: May 31, 1160

Benedictine abbess and miracle worker. She was the daughter of Count Berthold of Andechs, in modem Bavaria, Germany. The count and his wife, Sophia, founded a monastery on their estate at Diessen, Bavaria, and placed Mechtildis there at the age of five. She became a Benedictine nun, and then abbess. In 1153 the bishop of Augsburg placed her in charge of Edelstetten Abbey. Mechtildis was revered for her mystical gifts and miracles. She died at Diessen

The Shepherd's Psalm
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Psalm 23 : 4-5

The valley of the shadow of death is a ravine overhung by high precipitous cliffs, filled with dense forests, and well calculated to inspire dread to the timid, and afford a covert to beasts of prey4.  Even in the darkest and most trying hour God is near. The Christian needs nothing more than the consciousness of God's presence. The rod and staff are token's of shepherd's presence.   He uses them to guide his sheep and ward off ravenous beasts that infested the pasturelands. The shepherd provides rest, refreshment, nourishment,    fellowship, guidance, deliverance from fear, comfort, security, victory over enemies.

Today's Verse
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."
â€" Acts 13:2 (NIV)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When people genuinely worship, when they fast and seek God's will, he calls them to service and mission. Christian worship is not an end in itself, but a launching pad to Christian mission. We shouldn't get so caught up in the worship experience that we leave it at the door when we walk away. Instead, we must understand that our "private" or church worship is to inspire us to public worship and service in the world during our everyday lives (cf. Rom. 12:1-2). As we worship with our brothers and sisters, we should also listen to the words to the songs, the message of the Scriptures, and the conviction of the Holy Spirit on our hearts. God is calling each of us to a special mission in our world!
My Prayer...
Father, please help me clearly discern your will and follow your leading while I am worshiping you throughout each day. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

The “Everywhere-ness” of Godâ€"God in all things
One of the wildest aspects of mystical Christian thought lies in the simple truth that God is everywhere. And if God is in fact everywhere, then God is in all things, and all things are in God.

ABOVE ALL
Bible Quote: Above all else guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4.23

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4rBX9B4jxEY

This has been a very special verse that has helped me along in my life. We should take care of the feelings that we keep in our hearts because they can really affect our lives. If we keep good feelings in our hearts, then we will have a happy life. On the other hand, if we keep bad feelings our lives will be empty and full of sorrows.

Words cannot express the grief one feels when one loses love. Then again, wise words can heal wounds and help us reflect on the tragedy. If you have undergone a personal loss -- the loss of love or of a loved one -- Love is never lost. If not reciprocated, it will flow back and soften and purify the heart.

â€" Ephesians 2:8-9 â€"

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith â€" and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God â€" not by works, so that no one can boast.
It is the grace of God, not your strength or faithfulness, even less your righteousness, that has saved you. God's grace is truly "amazing." Is it not strange that for many people, perhaps you, it has become "boring grace" instead? Because our salvation and even our faith are gifts, we should respond with gratitude, praise and joy.

Virgin Mary

TODAY'S FEATURED PRAYER:

Seraphic Rosary
(Franciscan Crown)

How to Pray the Seraphic Rosary (seven decades) in honor of the seven joys of Mary:

Say 1 Our Father, 10 Hail Marys and 1 Glory Be on each decade.

1. The first Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at the Annunciation: "behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to your word."

R: May I become your humble servant, Lord.

2. The second Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at the Visitation: Rising up, Mary went into the hillcountry and saluted her cousin Elizabeth.

R: Grant us true love of neighbor, Lord.

3. The third Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at the Birth of Jesus and the Adoration of the Magi: She brought forth her first born son ...and layed him in a manger.

R: Give us true poverty of spirit, Lord.

4. The Fourth Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at the Presentation and Purification: They carried him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord ...as it written in the Law of the Lord.

R: Help me obey all just laws.

5.The Fifth Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at the Finding of Jesus in the Temple: Not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem seeking him.

R: May I never lose you through serious sin, Lord.

6.The Sixth Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at the Ressurection of Jesus: "The Lord is not here...He is risen."

R: May we share your glory, Lord.

7.The Seventh Joy in the Crown of Mary, is the joy of our Lady at her Assumption into heaven and her Corronation: a woman clothed with the Sun...upon her head a crown of twelve stars.

R: Mary, may we share your crown of eternal life.

(The Crown ends with two additional Hail Marys in honor of the tradition of the seventy-two years of Mary's life. This is followed by an Our Father, a Hail Mary, and a Gloria for the intention of the Holy Father.)

GOD BLESS ALL MOTHERS !

Mother is adored in each part of the universe. Even the Lord give due respect to the mother. The great epic 'Bible' also throws light on the place of mother in the life of a human being.

Deu 5:16
"Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

BONDING with GOD !

Many of us are feeling a "call" to prepare!
Are You Fulfilling Your Life Purpose?

Imagine a hammer.
A solid, shiny, shimmering hammer.
Expensive. Made of high-grade steel and first-class polished wood.
Now imagine a primitive tribesman from the mountains who has never seen a hammer in his life. He picks up the hammer, likes it immediately, and brings it home. And for the next 50 years, he uses it as a wonderful back scratcher.
Scratch.
Scratch.
Scratch.
That’s all it did for 50 years.
Friends, many people are like that hammer. Because they’re not fulfilling their life purpose, their greatness doesn’t come out.
I believe there are four kinds of people on planet earth…
A.   Extremely Unhappy people don’t know their life purpose.
B.   Unhappy people who know their life purpose but don’t work on it.
C.   Happy people who know their life purpose, work at it, but not daily.
D.   Extremely Happy people who know their purpose and work on it daily!
Question: Who are you among these four people?

Parental Love

Parental love is the greatest love in the world. Even people in the top rank of the world are nothing in front of their children. Parental love is unconditional and unlimited in the presence of children. Parental love is the origin of love. That's why orphans who never received parental love long for it most of all. Even if orphans have something to eat and a house in which to sleep, their hearts always hunger and are full of longing because they lack parental love. Even if they lead a joyful life in an orphanage, their time is not truly happy. The little orphans always long for parents even while they sing and dance, are awake or asleep. That's because every human being is supposed to grow up in the bosom of love.

Parental love of a thousand years ago and that of the present time is identical. In the fluctuating course of history, parental love never changes.

Compassionate Love Binds People Together!

In today's world we hear the term "compassion" and "compassionate love" used quite loosely. Some people also think there is a thin line between love and hate.
To be compassionate, you of course must be willing to free yourself of personal concerns for a time. In a materialistic world filled with empty gestures it's not that easy to adopt a true level of concern for the lives of others.
To be compassionate you have to set aside your world and be open to understanding the world of each person that you meet so that their world unfolds with all of its mystery, horror, pain and beauty. You can bond with people in a very intimate way but still maintain a separate understanding of your world too.

John 3:16
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I Believe There Is More
I really do believe God has more for you to do. He has more for me to do. We have to be willing to step out by faith into the “new thing”, whatever it is that God has put in your heart. This certainly does not mean what you have done to this point is insignificant. I believe it was all preparation. God is NEVER finished with us and no matter what the enemy tries to tell you, God has more for you to do.

IN CHRIST ALONE ...
Isn’t it amazing how the Lord builds change and new life into the very seasons? Lamentations 2:22-25 reads, “The Lord’s loving kindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I have hope in Him.

Matthew 6:20
"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;
Instead of riches, trust God for your provision because "wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death" (Proverbs 11:4).  Do not allow money to be your security, "but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33).  In short, trust the Lord, not in your wealth (savings)

Proverbs 6:6-8 says "go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!  It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest."  In other words, save from today's surplus for future needs.

Creative Poetry

Every day we are can celebrate Mary, the Virgin Mother of God in her saying “yes” to the will of God. In our very own daily lives, we too, can say “yes” to God's will. One of the many ways that brings us closer to God, that "yes" to God's will, is through poetry. For centuries poetry has given people hope, inspiration and comfort.

prayer for mothers, fathers, and friends!

We are Mary’s hands in the world today. We must bring her gentle touch, her help, her protection, her mantle of love. And if we are Mary’s hands it is because she taught us through someone else. Mary taught us how to be gentle, helpful, protecting, and loving through mothers, fathers, and dear friends. No matter who it was, they taught us to be Mary’s hands in the world today.

Spring is a time to thank others for our life and the many lessons that they taught us. Spring is also a time of new beginnings â€" new endeavors to pray for those who are in need or are hurting. I invite you to give all of them a special gift.

You can show them that you haven’t forgotten. You can show them that you cherish them. You can show them that you lit a special votive light, to Mary, Virgin all powerful, just for them and their intentions at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal.

Mary needs you to be her hands of thanks giving and help to all in need.

The Bible recommends saving in this circumstance in Proverbs 21:20 when it states, "In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has."
Yet in order to be a good steward, we must not hoard the resources God entrusts to us.  As discussed above, we should save for known future expenditures as well as set aside some money "for a rainy day".  But when we start to save for the sake of saving and begin to trust in our riches to keep us safe, this is hoarding, and it is unbiblical.

There is a fine line between being a good steward who saves in accordance with true needs and a hoarder who trusts in his savings to deliver him from all kinds of hardship.  The difference is attitude.  If you are truly saving for a need, then you are most likely being good steward.  Sometimes the Holy Spirit will guide you to give away money you have been saving to provide for an even greater need for someone else.  In this case, you are obligated (and should be overjoyed that the Lord is using you) to follow God's direction as His steward.  He will provide for you in another manner as long as you are following Him.

On the other hand, if your trust has been placed in wealth, your perspective must be altered. In short, trust the Lord, not in your wealth (savings).
"put not your trust in money, but put your money in trust".

Some were Persian courtiers, others priests and bishops. Tarbula was the sister of St. Simeon, and suffered a particularly cruel death by sawing.
