PRO 11 CONCLUDED THE 4-DAYS SWAT COMPETITION CHALLENGE AT THE MINDANAO POLICE TRAINING CENTER
Camp Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City- Police Regional Office (PRO) 11 through the initiative of PBGEN FILMORE B ESCOBAL, RD, PRO 11 successfully conducted a 4-days PNP SWAT Challenge Competition held at the Mindanao Police Training Center located at Sitio Lutangan, Brgy. Kapatagan, Digos, Davao del Sur.
Said activity which commenced on December 10, 2020 was participated by 11 teams from different Provincial and City Police Offices, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion of this PRO. The PRO 11 SWAT Challenge 2020 was held purposely to enhance the skills and capabilities of the SWAT teams by integrating the use of technology in their operation, and at the same time to promote the Mindanao Police Training Center (MPTC) as a training ground to hone the skills and values of police officers in the region.
The activity was highlighted with the awarding ceremony of the winners; wherein the RFMB 11 Team 1 was hailed as the champion, who garnered an overall percentage points of 99.04%. They received cash incentives and a trophy.
The participants from Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office bagged the 1st Runner-up and received Rock Island .45 caliber and trophy, while the 2nd Runner-up from RFMB 11 Team 2 received Kevlar helmet trophy.
The rest of the participants also went home with consolation prizes composed of gift certificates and other gift items. Also, each stage winners received cash incentives each for the different difficult stages.
The said closing ceremony was graced by Hon Vice Mayor/Atty Johari Baña as representative of Hon. Mayor Josef F Cagas. Also present during the event were Brgy. Kapatagan Captain Juanito Morales, the Provincial and City Directors of PRO 11 and some other guest and stakeholders.
The success of the said activity, inspired PBGEN ESCOBAL to host a National SWAT challenge competition at MPTC by January 2021.
