Police filed supplemental Murder charges against nine suspects for the November 17 ambush-slay of lawyer Eric Jay Magcamit in Narra, Palawan.

Among those indicted is Police Senior Master Sergeant Ariel Pareja who is now under restrictive custody of the Palawan Police Provincial Office.

Also named respondents in the charges filed on Wednesday before the Palawan Provincial Prosecutor’s Office were: Jazer del Rosario, Marcelino Quioyo, and six other John Does.

In a report to PNP Chief, Police General Debold Sinas, MIMAROPA PNP Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Pascual Muñoz said Pareja has been moonlighting as a bodyguard for Quioyo who is involved in a court case over a land dispute where Magcamit is representing the other party.

Muñoz said administrative charges are also being prepared against Pareja based on his indictment in the murder case.

In other developments, a senior police sergeant was arrested by the PNP anti-corruption unit for charging P20,000.00 for the release of a car that was involved in an accident.

Police Chief Master Sergeant MENDY GUTIERREZ of Taguig Police Station 1 Vehicular Traffic Investigation Section was arrested by agents of the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group and operatives of the Highway Patrol Group in an entrapment operation after he received P20,000.00 in exchange for the release of an impounded car that was involved in an accident.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
