Press Release - The following is the status of the power plants causing the "yellow alert" (thinning of reserves) in the Luzon Grid:
 
1. Plants on unplanned outage:
 
a. Ilijan B (3 units)– 600MW;
 
b. Limay 7 – 60MW (may return anytime now);
 
c. Makban 5 – 55MW
 
d. Sual 2 – 647MW
 
 
2. Plants on planned outage:
 
a. Kalayaan 3 – 180MW;
 
b. Kalayaan 4 – 180 MW;
 
c. San Lorenzo 1 - 265MW;
 
MERALCO, for its part, is in close coordination with its customers who have enlisted in the interruptible load program. As of 10 am, it reported that there are a total of 126 accounts with a load of 189.22 MW that have committed to deload, if necessary.
