ON PRESIDENT DUTERTE’s CALL FOR A SPECIAL SESSION

PARTY-LIST SOLON CALLS FOR FULL ACCESS TO THE BATASAN COMPLEX AND PRESENCE OF ALL HOUSE MEMBERS AT PLENARY HALL

It is within the rights of the duly-elected Representatives of the Filipino people to have full and unobstructed access to the Batasan Complex and to be physically present at the Batasan plenary hall for the resumption of the unconstitutionally suspended Second Regular Session of the 18th Congress.

Every House Member should be able to enter the Batasang Pambansa Complex, the House of the People, without the need to ask for permission from anyone.

The 25-Member capacity limit in the session hall should already be lifted to allow House Members to physically attend session. Yamang yun ngang mga pampublikong lugar ay pinapayagan na ang mas malaking kapasidad para sa mas maraming tao.

Mahalaga para sa bawat Kinatawan na madinig ang kanyang boses sa plenaryo ukol sa mga mahahalagang usapin nang  walang pangambang maimu-mute siya.

Marami pang mga panukalang batas na dapat talakayin at busisiin para maipasa ito nang wasto sa takdang oras. Unang-una na dyan ang panukalang 2021 National Budget.

All Members of the House of Representatives can be physically and safely present at the plenary hall with proper social distancing up to the gallery seats. (END)
