MISSIONARIES OF THIS GENERATION

For Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr, members of the PCG Auxiliary (PCGA) are not mere volunteers, but missionaries of this generation.
"They are missionaries in a sense that BEING PART OF THE PCG IS A CALLING. They are called by God Almighty to HELP AND SERVE OTHERS, especially those who are in need," Admiral Ursabia said during the donning and oath-taking ceremonies of BGEN Peter Suchianco and Atty. Maria Farah Zorayta Nicolas – Suchianco as the newest members of the PCGA Executive Squadron on 27 May 2021.
During the ceremony, Admiral Ursabia once again highlighted the significant role that PCGA performs in this time of pandemic, especially in augmenting the manpower and resources of the humanitarian armed service. He considered them as the PCG's secret weapon in performing its duties and responsibilities to be of service to the nation.
Above all, the Coast Guard Commandant urges PCGA missionaries to advocate the movement of providing public service anchored on the ideals of genuine PCG — patriotism, compassion, and fear of God.
