U.S Reform Health Care Bill Victory
« on: November 10, 2009, 10:11:52 PM »
What you think about the U.S Care Bill? Give your opinion here. Mga Doctor, nurses ug uban pa lamdagi daw mi ani beh. From what I heard and read dili ni maayo sa mga illegal immigrant ug katong magpa abort ug sa mga tiguwang pud murag i push ani ang suicide sa mga tiguwang or euthanisia. Murag di ni makatarunganon para nila pero mao siguro ni giingon nga who care dili na sila mapuslan so goodbye nalang or murag kining mga tigulang man siguro nakadako ug gasto sa healthcare system kay sila may segi ug balik balik sa hospital daghan gipang molo.
The amendment would bar abortion coverage for women obtaining insurance through the "public option" of government-sponsored insurance. In addition, private companies that sell policies on the new exchanges envisioned in the bill could not offer abortion services if they accept federally subsidized policyholders.
Women with coverage through such exchanges could not use it for abortions even if they receive no federal subsidies. They would be allowed to purchase separate abortion policies, known as "riders," with their own money.

Sa republican side sad ingon nila It will raise the cost of Americans' health insurance premiums; it will kill jobs with tax hikes and new mandates, and it will cut seniors' Medicare benefits," said the party's leader in the House, Rep. John Boehner of Ohio.

Okey ra kaayo ni nako nga akong sakit motabang sad mo ug gasto thru your tax ug kamo moy masakit makatabang sad ko ug gasto thru my tax.

Klaruha ni ninyong mga Brilliant please.

'te,

It's a health care reform policy that has yet to be implemented because it has to go the Senate. It will be addressed time and time again. Considering the loss of the democratic super majority, which is critical to the passing of this bill in the Senatorial House, it would result in a compromise between both Republicans and Democrats concerning said bill.

I do not have enough time to post right now, but I shall divulge more later on. I shall keep this bookmarked.

Regards.
All the best,
Lorenzo

I want you to read something lang, 'te:

From CMS at FreeRepublic.com:

• Page 16: States that if you have insurance at the time of the bill becoming law and change, you will be required to take a similar plan. If that is not available, you will be required to take the government option!
• Page 22: Mandates audits of all employers that self-insure!
• Page 29: Admission: your health care will be rationed!
• Page 30: A government committee will decide what treatments and benefits you get (and, unlike an insurer, there will be no appeals process)
• Page 42: The "Health Choices Commissioner" will decide health benefits for you. You will have no choice. None.
• Page 50: All non-US citizens, illegal or not, will be provided with free healthcare services.
• Page 58: Every person will be issued a National ID Healthcard.
• Page 59: The federal government will have direct, real-time access to all individual bank accounts for electronic funds transfer.
• Page 65: Taxpayers will subsidize all union retiree and community organizer health plans (example: SEIU, UAW and ACORN)
• Page 72: All private healthcare plans must conform to government rules to participate in a Healthcare Exchange.
• Page 84: All private healthcare plans must participate in the Healthcare Exchange (i.e., total government control of private plans)
• Page 91: Government mandates linguistic infrastructure for services; translation: illegal aliens
• Page 95: The Government will pay ACORN and Americorps to sign up individuals for Government-run Health Care plan.
• Page 102: Those eligible for Medicaid will be automatically enrolled: you have no choice in the matter.
• Page 124: No company can sue the government for price-fixing. No "judicial review" is permitted against the government monopoly. Put simply, private insurers will be crushed.
• Page 127: the government will set wages.
• Page 145: An employer MUST auto-enroll employees into the government-run public plan. No alternatives.

It's actually quite rivetting to read about the debates going on between physicians who stand in polar sides of the political spectrum regarding this topic:

1. NO!

President Barack Obama’s health-care plan at best is not reform at all, and at worst will expand the poorest performing segments of our health-care system and further erode what little choice currently exists at the individual patient and provider level.

“Universal health-care coverage,” according to the president’s plan, would be largely driven by enrollment in public programs, such as Medicaid and SCHIP, in which the government sets benefit levels and provider reimbursement rates. Being nominally “covered” in a public health insurance program is of little value if prohibitively low reimbursement rates and administrative hassles prevent physicians from accepting you as a patient.

Although the patient is the central figure and the key decision maker in the health-care system, the president’s plan unfortunately appears to continue the paternalistic view that government, not the individual patient, should decide the value of health-care services. Individual patients, regardless of income level, are capable of making appropriate decisions about their own health care, given the proper incentives.

Giving patients ownership of their health-care resources and choice over how those resources will be spent will also increase the demand for transparency about the cost and quality of services.

Rather than attempting to control the behavior of payers and providers through mandates and price controls, the president should realign incentives by giving patients the financial support they need and allowing them to choose from a variety of insurance coverage options, according to their needs. This is the same system available to President Obama and all other federal employees.

Ultimately, the goal of real reform should be for the government to stop trying to design and operate public health-insurance plans and instead focus on providing disadvantaged individuals with the necessary funds to buy into the same system that everyone else uses.

2. YES!

The Obama health-care plan is headed in a positive direction by all historic indicators.

It began with February’s expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program after years of failure, providing insurance to millions of additional vulnerable children. Then, the passage of the economic stimulus bill helped states maintain current levels of care for their poorest citizens. Now, a new secretary, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, with a dedicated commitment to the common good has been nominated.

The administration has undertaken a summit at the White House to explore all the possibilities, with four particularly key objectives.

The first is finding ways to insure every American. At a time of foreclosures and job losses, the last worry anyone needs is whether they can get thoughtful care with appropriate follow-up if an emergency befalls them. Current law provides for continued insurance under COBRA if a job is lost, but this is incredibly expensive for families—particularly if someone has no job. But SCHIP expansion aside, more than 40 million people still have no insurance.

A second objective has been transparency, so the remarkably expensive enterprise of medical care doesn’t become a new pork barrel of inefficiency. This leads to the third goal: cost efficiency.

Tremendous efficiencies are possible because they are currently being achieved by our economic competitors around the world. Increased health-care efficiencies were probably the leading engine for the economic expansion during the 1990s. The United States currently has the developed world’s most inefficient system, costing more than twice as much as other systems while performing poorly on many health indices.
Thus, a fourth goal is heightened quality, like that supported by the significantly expanded medical research in the stimulus bill. Better health, after all, is a goal shared by everyone, and Obama has moved us a giant step closer by forcefully articulating these four objectives.

Originally, before reading into Obama's Health Care Plan, and I did read over his 900 paged bill (read thoroughly through the 200 some pages of actual information, the rest are all citations etc). In his political oration, the plan sounds good. But if you read through the bill itself, it has holes in it. Government, in effect, has total and absolute centralist control, thereby destroying any state right or individual choice, else be subject to governmental fines and litigation costs.

I do want reform and change, that is a given. I don't agree with all that AMA stands for, some, but not all. I do agree that the cost of medical insurance should be lowered and that there should be some kind of limitation to MEDICAID enrollees for the elderly and for those that are mentally and physically incapable of caring for themselves. In regards to health care reform, the problems is due to the extensive pharmaceutical interest lobbyists as well as the health insurance lobbyists implementing 'political' swaying. The only way to address the situation in answering all needs, which is:

1. reducing healthcare costs
2. reducing pharmaceutical/health care company litigation control
3. preventing reimbursement changes to medical providers

reduce the insurance interest groups' control in government policy. We can provide easy and cheap health care without having government take complete control of the medical system.

My opinion.
