Politics As Usual
« on: June 17, 2009, 11:41:46 PM »
Politics is like a drug for society as it is the catalyst, as well as the sound and fury of mankind and his slow progression. Some say that politics is no way to run the human race or our civilization, yet others swear by their leaders, who often enough turn out to be complete hypocrites. Just when you think you have found an honest politician, low and behold we learn that they are not what they purport or the media allows us to believe.

when we clean the politics nature?

Politics will always be imperfect, but if we let chaos rule, that's hell.

Let's lower our expectation on others, including politicians. Let's increase our expectation of what we can do (this is our own sphere of influence, according to Stephen Covey).

We can start cleaning our own backyard, making sure we don't buy vote, we choose the platform instead of what a politicians wears on his platform, we don't participate in dishonest and selfish political trading.

The key is in us, the voters.

Korek, Bene san!

We people always complain about the political ills of our country and yet we don't want to be inconvenienced by following simple rules, laws and regulations.  We hate our corrupt politicians and yet we are expecting these politicians to give us money for our vote. Some even shop for better deals unya reklamo kon mga kurakot ang mga politicians.  You put those corrupt policians in the first place!

Bitaw Ging. By and large, the people we elect to office reflect our values. The government is a mirror of the society that put it in place. You cannot condemn the government without pointing the finger back to yourself. We just can't give up hope. For as long as we have a chance to elect, we always have the hope of a better tomorrow for our children.
