Press Release: This PRO under the stewardship of PBGEN RONALDO F DE JESUS, Regional Director, joined in another RCSP Barangayan/Serbisyo Caravan held at Brgy. San Andres (Lower), Borongan City, Eastern Samar, last March 25, 2021.
The said activity is in line with the peace and development efforts of this PRO and other government agencies to uphold E.O. No. 70 or the National Task Force-Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-RTF-ELCAC).
In coordination with various national and local government agencies, 65 family recipients of the said remote community, categorized as Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Area (GIDA), received food packs, other goods, and cash assistance from DSWD.
Also, mountain bikes, tablets, and rubber shoes were also distributed to the raffle winners. Meanwhile, children received Jollibee food packs and personalized toys while adults were given Shakey’s lunch packs. Another 150 food packs were turned-over to the barangay officials for their subsequent distribution to the constituents.
Further, Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS); free check-up/consultations; dental mission; free vaccines/medicines and distribution of Seedlings (High Value Crop Development program) were also provided.
The activity was made possible thru the collective efforts of the Office of Sen. Bong Go, thru Ms. Marjorie Jaranilla; Regional Directors of other government agencies, namely; Lord Byron Torrecarion, OCD; Joseph Garcio, NICA; Ms. Erlinda Olivia Tiu, PIA; and Dr. Antonio C. Waniwan, TESDA; including BGEN CAMILO Z LIGAYO, Commander, 80st Brigade, 8ID, PA.
Meanwhile, the following have also made significant contribution to the success of the RCSP Barangayan/ Serbisyo Caravan: Hon. Jose Ivan Dyan C. Agda, Borongan City Mayor; Ms. Alice Biazon, DSWD8, Ms. Lea O.
