Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao will distribute 100,000 health cards and start building a RoRo port and Pacman Center shortly after his oath-taking as Sarangani representative on June 28.

Pacquiao revealed so on news program “24 Oras” that covered the last day of the certificate course on public administration and governance that he completed on June 25 at The Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).

“Focus ako sa livelihood program, education at medical assistance,” said Pacquiao.

In the crash course, Pacquiao and his staff learned about the national budget and local development, how to use the pork barrel, and the usual goings-on in Congress.

DAP Dean Gloria Mercado said that Manny tends to make decisions “from the heart.”

“Ang sabi nga niya pusong mamon siya. Ang job ngayon ng kanyang working team is to calibrate those decisions. Pag sinabi niyang oo, ang role ng chief of staff is to check if his ‘oo’ is possible or not,” said Mercado. - source: Manila Bulletin
