Press Release: The Philippine Coast Guard Non-Uniformed Personnel Association (PCGNUPA) officers, Board of Directors, and members paid a courtesy call to PCG Commandant, CG Admiral Artemio M Abu today, 17 March 2022.
The PCGNUPA was represented by Ship Master Leizl B de la Rosa, while the Board of Directors and its members were represented by Ms. Evelyn F Madrigal, Chief Civilian Affairs.
One of the issues discussed during the meeting was the significance of civilian employees in the Coast Guard organization, specifically in achieving the continuity of work in every office and the repository of data and instructions for units as partners of the uniformed personnel.
CG Admiral Abu urged the civilian employees to uphold discipline, respect, and understanding toward a healthy work environment. He also encouraged them to develop a great sense of dignity and pride in being part of the PCG workforce.
Before concluding the meeting, the Coast Guard Commandant asked the NUP to support him in transforming the organization into a national pride of the Philippines.
