The Philippine Air Force facilitated and hosted a block screening of the movie "Top Gun: Maverick" on May 25, 2022 at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
"Silverscreen Flight: Honoring Our Airmen Heroes" was a fundraising activity and a tribute to the PAF's fallen Airmen from the UH-1H Utility Helicopter, MD-520MG Defender Attack Helicopter, S70i Blackhawk Combat Utility Helicopter and C-130 Aircraft incidents.
The net from the fundraising was for the benefit of the 25 dependents and bereaved families of the Airmen who dedicated their lives in serving the nation.
PAF unit Commanders, PAF personnel, Civilian Human Resource and dependents have watched the movie to support the noble cause.
Furthermore, a symbolic turnover of donations of the raised fund was conducted shortly after the movie.
