Press Release: Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez and the Ormoc Development Team (ODT) led by birthday celebrator City Mayor Richard I. Gomez attended the RESBAKUNA event marking the launching of the Ormoc City COVID-19 vaccination plan and deployment, which took place earlier today, April 17.

Dr. Edmund Kierulf of the City Health Department discussed the Ormoc City COVID-19 Vaccination Plan.

He emphasized the prioritization of vaccine recipients, answered frequently asked questions (Who can be vaccinated? What is the best vaccine? How effective are vaccines?), shared the adverse effects following immunization, and discussed the myths about the vaccine during his discussion.

Rosilyn Sanchez from ENRO, meanwhile, spoke about the Health Care Waste Management System to be followed during COVID-19 Vaccination.

On the other hand, Engr. Domardoni Cayanong (GSD), Ciriaco A. Tolibao (CDRRMO), and CD Ramil Ramirez (PNP) discussed matters on logistics for the service vehicles once the vaccination program starts and for the set up of iron grills ib each district offices for the safety of the vaccines, the contingency plan in case of unforseen events, and the deployment of personnel, security plan on COVID-19 vaccination, emergency response situation and task organization.

Finally, Nurse Jester Zacarias from the City Health Department discussed the masterlisting of recipients and the steps involved in the Ormoc City COVID-19 Vaccination Registration Process.

Our very supportive SP Members of Ormoc City's 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Vice Mayor Leo Carmelo Locsin, Jr., also delivered a brief message of encouragement to Ormocanons in order to persuade them to get vaccinated and extended their birthday greetings to our beloved mayor.
