As President,

I would fraternize the United States in extending Protectorate-ship over the whole of the Republic of the Philippines and ask that American Citizenship be given to all Filipinos.

I would make it my sole priority to strengthen these truths:

a) Education; establishment of college loans for Filipinos
b) Barring of Politicians with a history of corruption charges
c) Establish, by Presidential Decree, the Federalist System in Government
d) Strengthen the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Court friendly powers to provide military equipment by means of loans to the Philippines and our badly-outdated AFP.

The goal is to make the Philippines an integral part of the United States. As an autonomous American-Protected Republic.

enzo, i think we have to amend the constitution to institute the "reforms" you suggested. But i don't think your proposal would even pass the first reading in the assembly/convention. No offense meant, but it would put all the sacrifices and struggles fought and won by our forefathers to gain independence from foreign dominion. Unsaon na lang ang dugo nga nidanak.. Under the United States, when the Philippines was an American Protectorate, the Philippines was the richest nation in all of Asia, perhaps in par with Japan at the time. Manila was the largest city in all of Asia and deserved the name of 'Pearl of the Orient'.

If the Philippines becomes an protectorate of the United States, that does not mean that the Philippines will disappear, it will just mean that we will be directly under American military protection. The country will still exist, with autonomous control.

No nation would dare touch the Philippines. As it would be an 'integral' part of the American Superpower.

America would become Philippines, so to say.

I mean, Filipinos already control the American Medical System.
10% of the Health System in the United States is Filipino.
Over 20,000+ Filipino doctors in the United States; and over 250,000 Filipino Nurses.

The Philippine Fatherland will not dissapear, it would be protected and showered with the resources of the United States.

And ALL Filipino citizens, from the people living in the barangays, to the cuidad, from the villages of Mindanao, to the beach resorts of Panglao and Boracay to the large metropolitan areas such as Davao, Cebu and Manila. All Filipinos would be given the rights and privileges as that of American Citizens.
