Published by Bohol Sunday PostBohol Vice Governor Julius Caesar Herrera admits there are big challenges in the future but appeared unbowed and unperturbed.
Herrera said that although he is hoping for the best, it would be more prudent to anticipate the worse case scenario based on prevailing conditions.
"I am not trying to scare our people. Just telling them what to expect," the vice governor explained.
He said there are many factors that indicate a crisis on many fronts for the country including Bohol.
"We face major challenges ahead particularly with the economic crisis and food security. But we can deal with it if we act now," he added.
The vice-governor said that the economic crisis is largely a consequence of the steep increase in petroleum prices.
"We cannot deny the fact that we are affected by external forces so we have to prepare for more difficult days," he added.
