I first remembered when I first came and arrived to the United States.
5 or 6 years old, thick Bisayan accent, english limited
And I first met you and my Ante Beth--
Has it been really 18 years?

Thanks for supporting, being there for me and my siblings,
for being a great Uncle.
From Elementary,
To Middle School,
To High School,
To College,
To Medical School.

You've been there for me, you and my Dad are two men in my life that I look up to.
I really respect you, and care for you. Uncle Steve.
For all of the prep talks we've had, since I was just an adolescent kid,
with my own faults, for helping to steer me towards the Goal.
For helping to motivate me, and strengthening me.

Most of all, thanks for being kind to the family.
And taking care of Ante Beth and Stephen.
I find it sometimes very warming, knowing that my Uncle is Puti,
but you are so very Filipino. Very Bisayan.
You're more of a Boholano than you are an American, I always say.
Then gain, im sure you get that alot from the family. LOL.

I still remember back in July 2006.
When I went abroad to Ukraine for the study abroad program.
And When I came back to college after the program, I didn't want to drive home.
Because I was so tired, and homesick.
I asked you if you could come---
And you did.
Thanks Uncle Steve.
Thank you so much.
I remember picking you up at the Greyhound Bust Stop
by Meadville, PA,
You had your ipod on and said that the ride took 12 hours.
Thanks alot, Uncle.

You're a great role model,
please know that.
Love you alot, Uncle Steve.
I am so honored to have you part of my life,
and part of the entire family.
