I remember one girl who i broke up with after something she said,
she was the type that would say things that 'she didn't mean to say'.
After 9 months of this treatment, i gave up on her.
On parting her, we were sitting by the steps in our college library. It was fall then, i can remember the red and orange leaves falling by the corner as the cool autumn wind blushed our faces. My eyes gazed into hers when I said to her, "I can not give you want you want. You scorn me as if I have no heart that feels. Have I disrespected you as you do to me?"
She was crying and trying to embrace me, I did not relent. I purged my feelings. And the last thing I said to her was, "I request you burn all the letters I wrote to you. We are..no more."
I walked away. She tried to grab my hand, but I did not give in.
Love is precious and should not be scorned nor thrust up against the sharp tongue. Lest, one realizes that it was not love at all.
