Itâ€™s not so common anymore
to have a dad whoâ€™s really there,
who is the provider for his family,
who comes home every night,
whose predictability
creates a sense of stability and security
in his household.
Your routine may not seem valuable to you,
but itâ€™s worth a lot to me.
Iâ€™m thankful that I can depend on you
to always be you--
a real father,
responsible, trustworthy,
and a great role model.
Iâ€™ve learned a lot of good things
from watching you.

I can just recognize that your Lolo has a similarity with my Papa ug pina-estamber pa gajod - even he was asleep before that was his position. How I miss him!

oo, na stroke man si lolo sa 1996, so iyang left side na minimized jud iyang mobility. Pero, beside that very strong man si Lolo Ciano. Iyang heart is strong, his faith is strong, and his family loves him,, which sustains him. Mao na---why we love him. He is the only grandfather that I have left--and he is the rock which holds our family together jud.

After 4x strokes ...that was the caused of his death. For a period of ten years he suffered after the firsrt stroke, we had submitted him for rehabilitations and still he died at the age of 69 and that was in the year 1991. And that is also the reason why i am very year home to visit my old sickly Mama, she will be 85 this coming Nov. Had a very bad conscience for not visiting my father so often before.....pero Doy, sus, lisod baja sa una pod........had a new acquired job, small child and some other problems sa kinabuhi. But thanks God.......everything running smoothly at these times.

God Bless your dad,, i hope and pray that he is at peace now. Of course i can understand how you go though, pare, im sure your papa understood--you know, things happen for a reason. And your mama is very lucky to have a loving child to visit her every year. I'll hope and pray that her health is strong.

Btw, that is the same age my lolo is; he is turning 81 this year, and speaking of which i need to call him sometime when i get back home.
