Distressed OFW from Pilar Bohol
« on: August 11, 2009, 01:21:20 PM »
Pilar, Bohol - With the assistance of the Vice-Governor’s Office, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from this town will soon be home after a mild stroke while on duty in Saudi Arabia.

Vice-Governor Julius Caesar Herrera extended assistance to one Olimpio Bullecer Panganoron, a constituent from barangay Poblacion here, through the Overseas Worker Welfare Assistance Desk (OWWAD) of VGO.

Panganoron’s wife, Anesia Mante, came to VGO to request for assistance, in the repatriation of his husband.

It prompted Herrera to make a representation, through an official letter to Labor attaché II Bulyok Nilong of the Philippine Consulate General in the Kingdon of Saudi Arabia, requesting for the repatriation of Panganoron.

The vice governor also sent a separate letter to Labor Secretary Marianito Roque for his information and action on Panganoron’s repatriation.

Panganoron needs to be repatriated after having been incapacitated due to stroke while on duty last June 7.

His wife told OWWAD that he had been working for Hassan Hadi Abdullah company in Gizan, Saudi Arabia but was later hospitalized due to stroke that resulted to impaired speech and mobility, incapacitating him to work.

On the other hand, OWWAD also acted on another request for assistance. This time, from a certain Rufino Fuertes, a resident of San Vicente, municipality of Dagohoy and husband of an OFW- -Ruvelyn Neozena Fuertes.

Based on the records of OWWAD, Ruvelyn Fuertes was promised a work at a beauty salon but ended up as domestic helper instead.

She left for Jordan sometime last year.

Ruvelyn had been hopping from an employer to another.

She had just left her latest employer and gone to the Philippine embassy in Jordan for help. Her family wanted her repatriated.

VGO assured to extend help for the plight of the families of OFWs who are in distress.

Herrera created OWWAD since Day 1 of his public service, to attend to the plight of OFWs who are in distress in a foreign land and assure their families back home of assistance. (RVO)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
