We have our cacao,and mao jod nay bantayan namo kung naay mahinog na.Wa man koy earth kong unsay hinog sa una,mao nang mailad tawon sa mga iyaan.hehehe I love watching my Lola doing the tabliya.Then ipagaling namo sa lungsod.Sus ang smell lang daan sa pure tabliya Beth,aguy gimingaw na noon ko da.

Dong, tabliya is the chocolate tablet after the cocoa beans are roasted and grounded. That's what we use for sikwati and champorado.  I also use that to make chocolate cake.

I can remember my Nanay and Tatay with their cacao plants and manga-on mi pero di makabusog... but the tabliya smell awesome pero makalipung kay pait and very stong, labi na ug bag-ong galing...the story brings back memories of my grandparents...pero ang santol, saging, biyabas, balimbing, kaimito, nangka....daghan kaajo pero karon mga balay na... I miss all these in Talibon, Bohol.

Dong, as what Paul said, it's unadulterated chocolate so super bitter as in bitter if you just eat the dark chocolate in the picture shared by Beth.  But, if you put condensed milk and butter and cream in it, maka tumbling ang kalami! hahahahaha

Dong, just wait for a two weeks.  My Mom made me tabliya and it's coming here next weekend.  My Mom roasted the cocoa beans and she did grind the roasted cacao using a manual grinder that we had since we were still young.
