The Cebu-Bohol Bridge: MVP EYES a P90 billion expressway connecting Cebu with Bohol via Cordova!
A P90 billion toll road connecting Cordova in Cebu with Bohol has been proposed by Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC)
The governor has asked us to look at building a bridge between Cordova and Bohol. It is a P90 billion project. Financing is crucial because it is such a large project.
MPTC chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan said, "We still have to conduct a feasibility study since the tariffs will be so high that nobody will use it.".
According to Rodrigo Franco, president and CEO of MPTC, the company would seek ways to make the project viable.
An 8.5 km bridge linking Cebu City and Cordova, a municipality in Cebu province, was completed by Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp., a subsidiary of MPTC.
Commercial operations began last April 30 and the bridge is expected to accommodate about 50,000 vehicles per day.
