Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel, Jr. received the Benigno S. Aquino Award for Nationalism from the Federation of Catholic Schools Alumni Association (FeCaSAA).
FeCaSAA cited Sen. Pimentel for his unwavering efforts in nation-building through judicious legislation, unblemished public service and virtuous advocacy.
â€An accomplished barrister, educator, author, local executive, public administrator, national legislator, activist and a loving father and grandfather, Nene Pimentel has the sterling qualities of a true leader and advocate of nationalist issues,†according to the award’s citation.
Senator Benigno “Noynoy†Aquino III and FeCaSAA chairman Bro. Rolando Dizon gave the award to Pimentel in a simple ceremonies held at the assembly hall of the National College of Public Administration and Governance at the University of
the Philippines (UP) in Quezon City Tuesday.
Former Senate President Jovito Salonga and former National Economic and Development Authority chief Solita Monsod were also recipients of the same prestigious award. - PNA
