While most of their countrymen are queuing for jobs and thinking up various money-making schemes, two Filipinos will be swimming in millions for having the knack for picking lucky numbers.
It was a random but lucky choice of numbers for the 21-year-old salesgirl who won half of the P188-million jackpot in the 6/49 SuperLotto draw on Thursday night.
The bettor, who bought her ticket in Sta Maria, Bulacan, had been playing the popular game of chance
for only a week and did not even have a favorite combination of numbers.
“It’s really all random numbers, and she did not have any numbers she maintained. Maybe because she has only been playing for a week,†said Dr. Larry Cedro, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office spokesperson.
Cedro said the 21-year-old went to the PCSO’s Quezon City office Friday afternoon to claim her prize.
The lucky bettor only bet
P20 on a single ticket but ended up taking home P94,077,569.30, which she said she would share with her parents and siblings.
