PIA DAVAO DE ORO: The Mines and Geosciences Bureau recommends the transfer of two schools in Barangay Mount Diwata. In a report by MGB XI, the schools are located in an area highly susceptible to landslide. Last December 4, according to Barangay Captain Pedro Samillano of Brgy Mount Diwata, a group with personnel from the Department of Education already visited an area of 18,000 sq m, which is a recommended site for the transfer. MGB XI Regional Director Jasper Lascano said that his team will validate the said area if it is safe from geohazards. (mlu)
