Press Release: PNP MOLECULAR LAB OPERATING AT FULL CAPACITY TO ENSURE EARLY DETECTION OF COVID CASES
THRU INCREASED TESTING CAPACITY

Two PNP molecular laboratories in Camp Crame are now operating at maximum capacity of 420 tests per day. Another molecular laboratory with a daily testing capacity of 80 per day is expected to open in Cebu within the coming weeks.

PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas said the increased testing capacity has allowed the PNP the added capability of early detection of COVID-19 cases in its ranks such that it has so far tested 38.74% or 85,623 of its 221,038 personnel.

In a briefing, Sinas noted the correlation of increased testing to the decreasing number of COVID-19 cases in the PNP.

“Madami kaming tine-test, mababa yung infection namin,” he said.

He noted PNP data that showed the number of RT-PCR tests conducted by PNP units on their personnel as guiding statistics to measure internal COVID response by PNP Units.

He said PNP Units were instructed to conduct early detection tests as part of government strategy to test early before the onset of symptoms.

As of  6:00PM of Sunday, December 13, 2020, the PNP has recorded  total of 8,578 cases with 8112 recoveries,27 deaths and 439 active cases among PNP personnel.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
