PGen Sinas Secures P500M from PAGCOR for PNP Hospital
« on: December 18, 2020, 12:32:05 PM »
Press Release: Chief PNP visits PAGCOR; Secures P500M fund for Hospital building construction in Camp Bagong Diwa.

Last December 17, 2020, PGEN DEBOLD M SINAS, Chief, Philippine National Police paid a courtesy visit to the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Chairwoman Andrea D. Domingo who warmly welcomed him at her office in Metropolitan Park, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay Metro Manila.

The meeting of two executives focused on the issues of illegal gambling, especially the online gaming illegal proliferating in the internet. Guidance in conducting law enforcement operations to curb this economic crime was also discussed.

Based on agreed conditions, the growing number of operators requesting certification from PAGCOR will only be approved if they channel their application through the Office of the Chief PNP.

PAGCOR clarified that they are not involved in the conduct of raids or similar operations against illegal online gaming operators and illegal gambling activities as a whole. They are into the regulatory functions of the government and the enforcement of laws is the ambit of concerned authorities like the PNP. Both agencies have, however, agreed on terms before the conduct of any police operations. The PNP shall also seek prior verification from PAGCOR to validate the legality of an online gaming operator.

PGEN SINAS extended assurance to Chairwoman Domingo to not hesitate reporting to the PNP all the irregularities that may be observed on police operatives for the PNP leadership to take appropriate action as he stressed his "No Take Policy."

On the other hand, Domingo said that under the instruction of the President, electronic “sabong” or e-sabong would be under the regulatory power of PAGCOR probably by January 2021, while the cockpit will still be under the supervision of Local Government Units.

The meeting also tackled the construction of a hospital building at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan with a P500M fund from PAGCOR and another P100M will also be used for the procurement of hospital equipment.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
