The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the leading world body for the assessment of the climate crisis, reaffirmed last night many years of dire warnings to cut emissions and adapt to the new climate.
The Synthesis Report of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) integrates and summarizes the findings of the six reports released during the current cycle which began in 2015. This includes three Special Reports and the three IPCC Working Group contributions to the Sixth Assessment Report.
The report echoes what scientists and climate advocates have been saying all these years: The state of the climate is bad but we can still do something about it.
