Press Release: NPA WEAPONS CACHE SEIZED IN PALAWAN

Police commandos recovered a cache of weapons and war materials from the New People’s Army  in Northern Palawan.

PNP Chief, Police General Debold M Sinas said, police commandos from the 101st Special Action Company of the PNP Special Action Force, supported by PRO4B and AFP elements, conducted recovery operation of high powered firearms (HPFAs) and war materials in the area of Sitio Lanka, Barangay Bintuan, Coron, Palawan at 4:00AM on Saturday, January 9, 2020.

The operation led to the recovery of two M-16 assault rifles, four rifle grenades, magazine assemblies, a bandolier and 184 rounds of M-16 ammunition.

"The continuous operations of our troops  have resulted to the NPA’s weakened state. The latest confiscation of this cache of high-powered firearms further incapacitates their key operatives. ", Sinas said as he commended the SAF in the successive efforts implementing the president's EO #70 which aims to end local communist armed conflict.

The operation stemmed from actionable intelligence gathered by government troops regarding the whereabouts of the NPA’s cache of firearms and war materials in the said area.

The rifles will be subjected to procedural ballistics examination to determine if these had been used in previous crime incidents.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
