72IB troopers unearthed CTG arms cache in Bukidnon
Operating troops of the 72nd Infantry “Gabay” Battalion of the 10th Infantry “Agila” Division unearthed arms cache hidden by Communist Terrorist Group’s (CTG) at the hinterlands of Barangay Sinaysayan, Kitaotao, Bukidnon last May 20, 2022.
Troops recovered two M16A1 rifles, two M4 Carbines, one M653 rifle, one M14 rifle, four magazines for M16, and four bandoliers in the said successful operation. The location of the CTG firearms and war materiel was revealed by a certain Mayunie Man-inday Sayad alias “King”, a 31-year-old former CTG member who yielded to Gabay troopers last May 19 of the current year.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., lauded Gabay troopers for their excellent dedication to duty that resulted to a successful operation. The Army Chief said that the recovery of the firearms and war materiel incapacitate the communists-terrorists for possible launching of any attacks and atrocities in any government installation and to the communities as well.
