231 candidate soldiers to embark on basic military training
The Army's 6th Infantry “Kampilan” Division welcomed a new batch of 231 candidate soldiers last May 20, 2022 at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao that will undergo the Candidate Soldier Course Class 732-2022.
CSC Class 732-2022 which consist of 207 males and 24 females will undergo 16 weeks of rigorous training to transform them into reliable, responsible, and committed soldiers of the Philippine Army. The 6th Division Training School (6DTS) will train them in the basic foundations of soldiery and the Army’s core values which will make them the refined, valiant, and disciplined Kampilan troopers.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., highlighted in his command guidance, SERVE, that the soldier is the most important asset in the Army so relevant training is needed to improve the soldiers’ skills and potential. Lt. Gen. Brawner also added that it is necessary to take care of the soldiers’ overall well-being including their physical and mental health.
