Congratulations to the DOST XI Researchers who soared high in the 2020 DOST Intellectual Property Awards!

The award is conferred by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), an attached agency of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), which serves as the country’s premier recognition and advisory body on Science and Technology.

DOST XI's Regional Director Dr. Anthony C. Sales, CESO III, two Senior Science Research Specialists - Ms. Karleen I. Garcia and Ms. Maribeth A. Saporas, and former Project Assistant I, Ms. Donnalyn F. Imbas will receive awards for three Food Processing Innovation Center -Davao (FPIC Davao)-related product development under Utility Model Registration.

Meanwhile, DOST XI Assistant Regional Director for Research and Development for Development Innovation Division (ReDID), Dr. Kenneth D. Barroga will receive awards for two international publications which highlight the extent of the adoption of technological innovation of micro, small, and medium food processing enterprises in Davao Region; and the nexus between the Energy Consumption and Gross Domestic Product in the country.

Dr. Sales stressed that these recognitions show DOST XI's efforts in making R&D Management as one of its core competencies.

"These, truly, are testaments to our commitment and dedication to achieving excellence not only in Technology Transfer, and S&T services, but also in Research and Development. Ascendancy in Research for Development (R4D). To God be the Glory!" Dr. Sales said.
