Gov. Erico Aumentado and Rep. Edgar Chatto brokered the "peace talks" among the warring political camps of Mayor Benedicto Alcala and Vice Mayor Pedro Fuertes who campaigned together to oust former Mayor Doloreich Dumaluan and vice mayoralty bet, Kagawad Nila Montero during the 2007 polls.
The meeting held at the Governor's Mansion last Sunday have both camps air their grievances against each group which boils down to "disrespect and pride."
Aumentado and Chatto called the meeting as urgent projects particularly the water system has not reach a common ground. Supply of potable water to the island, which is one of the popular tourists' havens in the country, still looks dim.
